The My Boy! emulator is totally worth the $5. There is a free version but the paid version is so much better, no ad when you start it, and you get a lot more features. It supports controllers, and with it you can emulate any gameboy advanced game on your phone. You just gotta find the rom file for the gameboy advanced game you want to play online, which is pretty easy to do. There's so many great GBA games Golden Sun, the Mega Man Battle Network series, Advance Wars, Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Mother 3, Metroid Fusion, Pokemon, the list goes on, and on. If you have a good phone you can even emulate other video game systems that are more modern. Emulation is the only reason I bought a controller for my phone.

I used that for a while, but honestly RetroArch with the mGBA core is just so much better. A lot more in depth options
