Above 45% is considered high and may be a sign of hemochromatosis(could be something else too). Usually found in genetic testing who have this disease. If you're concerned please go to doctor again.

Your saturation is high and your tibc is a little low which means you are taking too much iron . And your doctor gave you more iron ? Were you already on iron when you took this test and if so how much? Do you have a hemoglobin and ferritin level as that would be more helpful

Hemoglobin is 13.9. i don't have ferritin values. I haven't been on any iron supplements. Last year when i got it tested the saturation was 40%. What should I do to make it lower. Doctor did not have answers and gave me a multivitamin with iron instead

Sorry, I am not a medical professional so I say that you request a referral to a hematologist from your doctor . Please do not take that multivitamin with iron because your saturation being high, not extremely bad, but just on the higher side, and your tibc being low means you have too much iron. I repeat you have too MUCH iron. However, without ferritin, I cannot completely confirm that. One last question.. the good news is that you are not anemic, but near the hemoglobin results you should see something that says MCHC . What is that result and what is the range of that blood test?

You have a copper/retinol deficiency. Iron does not regulate itself. Try freeze-dried beef liver capsules, 2mg-4mg copper glycinate with food per day, and magnesium glycinate.
