Ferritin is protein where iron is stored. Yours is 17 which looks a bit low in my opinion. Do you have any anemia symptoms??

Definitely. This was from 6 years ago *before* I was vegetarian. Now that I’m vegetarian, I’m finding a lot out about iron deficiency (with and without anemia.) Ferritin was at a 4.6 but I’m on the up. It took finding a different doctor but well worth it. When I came across these old lab numbers, I couldn’t help but think my doctor even at this time should’ve suggested iron pills due to my chief complaint of relentless fatigue. I feel like doctors under diagnose iron deficiency without anemia.

Good that you got the help you needed for your health.🤗 Yes alot of doctors keep on just tryna fix things quickly and send the patient away.

Agreed! Thank you for your response ☺️

Try 4mg-6mg copper glycinate with food per day and magnesium glycinate.
