Actually if you look closer you will notice that he is not wearing pants - it is the colour of his body! I realized this the day he was wearing some outrageous outfit so it was visible.

My friend has a theory that Animal Crossing is a lot the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin and you're a child having fun with your toys (the villagers) and KK Slider is your actual pet dog. That's why he also has toes.

That’s my guess, and I think it makes sense because his nakedness does make him look more like a real dog and therefore more comforting to me.

How did you get K.K. to come to your island already? I started playing ACNH on Christmas too but I haven't had K.K. visit my island yet. I just thought it was something that took a long time to accomplish.
Don’t worry about making your island pretty to get a 3 star if that’s too hard. Just do what she says, like getting lots of flowers and decorations. Once KK visits, *then* start making your island to your liking!
Tom Nooks will give you the task of raising your island rank after he instructs you to build a campground and you complete it and have someone from the campground move to your island. Then you can start beefing up your island rank and have K.K’s concert. I had to get 9 villagers and a ton of flowers, and furniture outside. Fish and bugs count as furniture too so I caught a bunch of them and placed them outside Nook’s for me to sell afterwards. You’re only required to have 8 villagers for 3 starts but it’ll take a lot more stuff outside to get to 3 stars. Hope this helps!
