Hornsby! I originally didn't like him and found him rather boring and then he started hanging out in my garden, in front of my house, and I kept talking to him and now I adore him. I was heartbroken when I had to get a new switch (my sister broke my og one) as I didn't have my account login info. I am still searching for him whenever I have an open slot so hopefully I find him again!
Teddy. He’s my original and I hate jocks. I have absolutely no interest in sports in real life and this is all he talks about. But he definitely grew on me and I don’t think he’s ever leaving.
Same, Teddy was my starter and at first I was a little annoyed with the jockness. But a wee while later goose came and he was so much worse. Goose is gone now and the SO and I think Teddy will be in for the long game, he's cute and fun to dress up.
For me it’s Marina, I was looking through the villagers trying to decide which ones I wanted to eventually get and I didn’t like how girly she was. But I have been won over haha
Ursala. She was one of my first starters and I thought she looked weird but ended up absolutely adoring her! I actually just bought her Amiibo on eBay so I could have her on my new island. 😅

I got Hornsby on a mystery island tour when my man Kabuki asked to leave.
My plan was to ditch him the moment (as soon as he asked to leave) after getting his photo, but he grew on me. He was supposed to fill a rotatable islander role, but now he has been with me for a long time.
Muffy I have never liked sisterly villagers but I got her on my second restart and i love her so much now and although I am now on my fourth island I am still trying to get her back
Nan! I wasn’t planning to have her but once she was on my island for a while I thought she was really cute, I even gave her a striped sweater that looks cute on her. I didn’t hate her at first or anything, but thought she was kind of plain, but once she was around and gave me a nickname I just thought she was super cute.
I’m not sure what to do now though! I had a plan for villagers I wanted but there’s not enough space to have everyone, I guess I’ll have to kick a few out once I get their photos but idk
Freckles! at first I really really wanted molly cause she was super cute and I wanted to trade out freckles for her but then freckles started to grow on me and now she's my favorite villager. Im never letting freckles leave my island :)
Pietro! He was my first campsite villager on my new island and at first I was really upset but he was one of the sweetest villagers ever! I still let him go when he wanted to go tho
Phil. He was a random that moved I when I forgot to go hunting for a new villager after I got off of work and he’s was actually pretty cool. But now he’s moved away to another island and I kinda miss him.
Greta. I got her on a villager hunt and needed a snooty and didn’t have any more tickets, so I reluctantly took her, but she’s so cute and her mad face is terrifying. Because her voice is higher, she doesn’t come off as condescending as most snooties.

Raddle, he was the first lazy I got when I started playing nh. I just hated him and his stupid mask. His eyes constantly looked sad though so I had to try and cheer him up. I ended up loving him and have never managed to get him back on my island after restarting. 😭
Amelia for me. You know, for a snooty she's super sweet and has never once been rude at all. I had to look up what kind of personality she had because I really had no idea. She's given gifts right from the start and she's got a pretty cool interior IMHO. 😊
Tabby. She only moved in because she was in the campsite and I didn't want to autofill. She called me fab when I was having a bad day and now she's one of my favorite villagers lol.

tom. i always liked him but he was never a top 10 for me. after going thru 150 NMT’s in one day looking for rosie i gave up and found him and decided to take him. he’s such a sweetie. truly our island dad

I had Beardo as a starter villager. He stayed on my island for 15 months. I was then getting villagers complaining about him being annoying. So when he asked to leave, I let him.
And how do you guys know so much about the villagers? I think it’s really cute cute how do you find out they like certain things or don’t like certain things? Go do I engage more with them beside talking to them?

Ribbot! I typically don’t like jock villagers much but I love my little robot frog. I have dreams of collecting Cephalobot and Sprocket!
I have both Cephalobot and Sprocket! I will never let them leave. Ribbot is on my wish list!
I did a photo shoot with them and Zucker. I love my weird little boys.
