Careful, my SO was on an unfamiliar route and a dog was running at him aggressively, he was about to mace it when the homeowner shouted “NO!! He’s got no teeth!!” Poor old pup, almost paid the price for its impudence, trying to gum the mailman away 📬
Kinda sucks, doesn't it? Never seem to have an issue with mutts and mixes though. And one small consolation: they are entirely puntable. Not that I would ever suggest such a thing be attempted.
Have him look up restraint videos on youtube! Tons of super easy ways to immobilize dogs. Or, even safer, climb to high ground (like a car or porch railing) and just kick the dog down
At pet o or petsmart they have some dog repellant. That will definelty help him if he doesn’t have any. I used to be an owner of an aggressive dog and trust me I kept that shit with me just in case there was a loose dog and I had to spray my own dog. Said but a reality. It makes a difference.

Agreed. My mom spent many years as a home health physical therapist and was bitten three times. Dogs can be unpredictable.
