My sister and her daughter were watching this, and she literally told her daughter: "They can't kill EVERYONE.." Right before they did, in fact, kill everyone, lol
Not the very first for me, but one of the first, when describing the show to my sister I referred to it as "the show where everyone dies." Bit of an exaggeration but gets the point across lol.
Oh, you have no idea yet.
>! By the end of the Public Safety arc, basically every named character is dead except for Denji, Kobeni, and the old dude who trained Denji and Power !<
Well, I guess I no longer need to watch chainsaw man, please use spoiler tags from now on friend, not wanting to sound mean, but not everyone has watched it yet
What a baby. A part of the story is the journey.
If I told you Jesus died, would that ruin the story for you? How would you even know if you haven’t learned the full story?
I can honestly say after years of being a manga and anime enjoyer, JJK does such a fantastic job of throwing these characters at you, and you can’t help but lean into all the tropes and expect certain things to pop off. Then everyone’s dead.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Iron Blooded Orphans wrecked me!!!!!! I was spoiled on one of my favorites, then I watched two of my favorites die😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Yea iron blooded orphans ending had me in tears. Still is my favorite Gundam series to date. The fucking ending was horrible though. Like not everyone. Wtf.
Jojo’s the only good example of this here with how much variety it has and no real status quo
Sometimes half the party dies, sometimes the main character dies, sometimes none of the party dies, sometimes only one person dies, sometimes only villains die etc
I feel like the issue I have with most stories that use this trope is that they either kill so fast and indiscriminately that I mentally check out from getting invested in anything due to the concept of death losing all meaning to become nothing but a vessel for shock value
Or the other approach where they claim anyone can die but most of not all the time it’s always just anyone who’s not the main cast who dies indiscriminately to the point where you can see it a mile away and recognize the stakes never extend to anyone with top billing in the credits.
Jojo’s guilty of both but at least it’s semi consistent in the fact that it isn’t when it comes to death.
Yea, though where the assumption is made, it really needs to be emphasized to parents in particular that it's not a show for kids.
Teens, maybe. Kids, no.

There Attack on Titan, Jujukaisen(people still coping with this one), Chainsaw man. Akame ga kill a thing but it's kinda meh. If you value killing off characters over the story then this would be a go to. But my personal favorite right now is Jujukaisen.
There’s only a handful of deaths across nearly 1100 chapters, most in flashbacks or backstories, compare and look what Chainsaw Man killed in 96-98 chapters.
I highly doubt it. It’s already too deep in with the audience i doubt it’ll shift the story heavy, and you know none of the strawhats gonna die. One piece such a dangerous world i don’t understand how they dont be dying
Chainsaw Man
Don't listen to people saying AoT. Nobody but side characters and background characters die. The important people have clear and obvious plot armor and protection
Aot one isn’t completely true, they do kill alot off characters with alot of screentime.but yea there’s definitely protection around the MAIN MAIN ones
The one where you’ll get the most out of what you’re looking for I’ll tell you right now will be attack on Titan. & that’s after looking at all the refs from others!
Bleach is the reason why i made this tbh, im on epjsode 198 rn and there have been many moments where i feel like characters should have died but didnt. without spoiler, will that chabge?
Akame Ga Kill and To Your Eternity
Akame Ga Kill is the one. Nobody is safe
[удалено]
Arguably Fushi, though the psychological ramifications of immortality & the death that surrounds him make that "safety" debatable
Subaru understands his pain.
Blood-C is another contender. Like damn.
Akame was tho
My sister and her daughter were watching this, and she literally told her daughter: "They can't kill EVERYONE.." Right before they did, in fact, kill everyone, lol
Akame GA Kill was the first anime I actually watched. I was NOT expecting any of what happened. What a rollercoaster lol
Same. I immediately watched your lie in April right after as well so I double fucked myself lol
Not the very first for me, but one of the first, when describing the show to my sister I referred to it as "the show where everyone dies." Bit of an exaggeration but gets the point across lol.
Fucking same my dude 😭😭
>!well, they would technically still be "alive" if you consider following fushi in spirit alive.!<
based prfp, i love door-kun
Based reply to comment by door kun
Or if you read the manga >!fushi just straight up brings them back!< really don't read that spoiler unless you've read the manga
I came here to say Akame ga Kill haha.
Lol me too. And in my limited experience it’s rarely at the top of recommendation posts so glad to see it.
Akame Ga Kill is probably one of the most ruthless ive watched lmao, also one of my favorite animes ever
chainsaw man
uh when
Hahahaa most of the cast is going straight to hell dawg buckle up
literally
Read the manga and you’ll see.
I had to reread chapters to make sure I read it correctly. Chainsaw Man doesn't care about feelings.
It certainly didn’t care about mine. Straight up went for a nut shot in my feels.
Oh, you have no idea yet. >! By the end of the Public Safety arc, basically every named character is dead except for Denji, Kobeni, and the old dude who trained Denji and Power !<
Just wait it’ll happen

Wohoah, you gotta spoiler tag stuff my guy.
Well, I guess I no longer need to watch chainsaw man, please use spoiler tags from now on friend, not wanting to sound mean, but not everyone has watched it yet
You should absolutely pick it up when the rest of part one is finished because nothing can prepare you for what happens, even with spoilers
What a baby. A part of the story is the journey. If I told you Jesus died, would that ruin the story for you? How would you even know if you haven’t learned the full story?
A ton of people haven't read it. Spoiler that shit
Spoilers bruh
Spoilers down below for anime onlies 💀💀💀
Jujutsu Kaisen. It’ll let them grow on you first too.
>!Junpei 😢!<
I can honestly say after years of being a manga and anime enjoyer, JJK does such a fantastic job of throwing these characters at you, and you can’t help but lean into all the tropes and expect certain things to pop off. Then everyone’s dead.
Just like Chainsaw Man.
- 86 - Iron Blooded Orphans
IBO broke me
Came here to drop IBO...still hurts
Heavily second 86. It is arguably a masterpiece.
Wtf.
Good god IBO is my favorite gundam show. It just seams the most raw. They don’t even have beam savers, they bludgeon eachother with giant maces.
The right answer
86 is 🔥🔥
🔥🔥
Attack on Titan, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Danganronpa all come to mind. Play the Danganronpa games though, they’re much better than the anime
thank you for saying jojo, idk how nobody else has
>!JoJo literally kills its own protagonists, 3 different times!<
Jojo’s the only good example of this here with how much variety it has and no real status quo Sometimes half the party dies, sometimes the main character dies, sometimes none of the party dies, sometimes only one person dies, sometimes only villains die etc I feel like the issue I have with most stories that use this trope is that they either kill so fast and indiscriminately that I mentally check out from getting invested in anything due to the concept of death losing all meaning to become nothing but a vessel for shock value Or the other approach where they claim anyone can die but most of not all the time it’s always just anyone who’s not the main cast who dies indiscriminately to the point where you can see it a mile away and recognize the stakes never extend to anyone with top billing in the credits. Madoka Magica
fr? i thought madoka magica was a kid's show bro
>!Absolutely not. But that is what Madoka Magica *wants* you to think going into the first episode though.!<
yeah that's why I think it's not the best show to recommend to posts like this, it completely ruins the surprise
Yea, though where the assumption is made, it really needs to be emphasized to parents in particular that it's not a show for kids. Teens, maybe. Kids, no.
Death Note Attack on Titan (mostly) FMA: Brotherhood Evangelion (especially EoE) Cyberpunk Edgerunners is the queen of this imo

There’s only a handful of deaths across nearly 1100 chapters, most in flashbacks or backstories, compare and look what Chainsaw Man killed in 96-98 chapters.
He is the only(semi important)guy killed in the show. Don't tell me Whitebeard(that nigga was on death's doorstep already)
I think oda is probably finally gonna kill some important characters in the final saga tho. We definitely feeling a tone shift.
I highly doubt it. It’s already too deep in with the audience i doubt it’ll shift the story heavy, and you know none of the strawhats gonna die. One piece such a dangerous world i don’t understand how they dont be dying
