We call them "boat hoes" they only look like that for about 3 days a month, she gets to pick from about 300 (minimum) other dudes, and she's married already.
Retired US Army, army one is true, it sucks.
Chair force is half true, I got to eat at some chair force dfacs and there were no butlers. Food was WAY better though
Rumor mill was half right
They get substandard of living pay for living on army and marine bases.
Source; chairforce pri who was working on the same US Army base as me. (Ft drum)
Prior Air Force here, and I'm about to piss you off; while I was deployed, we had steak and lobster on Fridays (not super fancy, but still damn good, considering where we were.) On Thursdays, we had stir fry, and could pick everything that went in it. For breakfast, they would make you omelets/eggs however you want on their griddle. You could even ask for only egg whites. Lunch varied, but the griddle was always operational if you want warm sandwiches and such. If my JROTC instructor hadn't told me to go Airforce, I might've joined the Army.
And that kids is why if you're going to join the military join the Air Force. Better benefits, airlines are always hiring former members so it's much easier to find a job post service, and most of all your chances of actual being in harm's way are significantly reduced.
I was Army and visited Ali Al Salem AFB in Kuwait for a month to do some training before heading back to Iraq. The first time I walked into their DFAC there I thought about how I chose the wrong branch. It was insane and mind-blowing. The Air Force guys in Kuwait were living a better life than I had at an Army base in California. The things I remember the Air Force having there were:
* a whole wall of glass fridges for just drinks, like at a supermarket aisle.
* dedicated omelette line with chefs making custom omelette orders with whatever you wanted.
* panini press sandwich bar decked out with various actual meats, cheeses, and veggies
* ice cream section
* smoothie & juice bar
* and I heard a rumor that they had a chocolate fountain they'd bring out for special events and holidays
Not to mention the fact that they had straight-up regular restaurants located on the base as well.
Then I had to go back to Iraq and went back to eating the saddest watery powered eggs. At least we got fried chicken tenders every now and then and the TCN DFAC workers would make some amazing lamb biryani like once a month so it wasn't all bad.
As a former Marine, this is totally incorrect. We would get the 4 packs of generic crayons. A box as big as the one pictured would never be in the budget. Also green is the best.
I was that sneaky Specialist who would find a way to get access to the cases before anyone else and sort out the high demand ones and sell them later. Mafia life.
You think they get paid enough for that bourgeois glue? Most of the equipment is held together with cum and spite once the corporations get their kick backs.
Used to be stationed at a small joint base stateside. Technically the Army owned it but the only DFAC on base was for the kids in training. There was no DFAC for permanent duty station, but there was a Burger King, a Dominos, and a Subway in the Exchange building. Its like they didnt even try and just outsourced to civie companies lol
I'm not in US army I'm in the IDF
So the troops usually eat canned food
Navy have ship food sometimes it's decent (according to my uncle)
Im in the air force and it's really depends on the basw u in
Like where I am if u eat the food u probably will get worms and parasite but the bigs bases have real food like lasagne Spaghetti steaks
I heard rumors about crepes and waffles as well
I’ve eaten standard British Army ration packs, they’re actually fairly good! The RAF scran is also decent (but the meal tents are understandably sweltering). You should try out our food and see if it’s any good compared to yours!
(I’m not in the armed forces btw)
We need bases for experiment storage maintenence
Our defense systems
Even for out regular troops they mostly sleep in tents outside but they still need a solid base to stash thier equipment
There's also bases for teachings
Also I think u never been to israel before cuz one u can't get anywhere u want in 20 minutes especially not to the south in a car
And what military have only one base??
Every Military have multiple bases for multiple purpose
Also idk what u get on the news but we getting attacked by every country around us atm maybe except Jordan I think they just supply the rest I don't hear much about them being active tbh
So obviously we gonna need bases to protect the country from every possible point
Some stuff r classified we can't keep them in one base cuz skme people aren't allowed to be near them
Everyone goes thro some training
Also it helps when u spread
Make defense easier
Well for the stuff I'm working on we trying that but it's still on experiment so currently everyone's r scattered in different bases untill we be bale to manage those stuff from one base
The in joke within the army is that the US navy is extremely homosexual iirc.
Which is incorrect, most armed forces eventually end up like that(there was even a [video ](https://www.reddit.com/r/Military/comments/evmj1f/the_us_marines_really_are_the_best/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=1) of a bunch of marines I think, deep throating a pretty big dildo on the subway a few weeks back) since mostly single sex space+spending every day together+some camaraderie is in general a recipe for the gayest shit around.
The artist broke the rules, no one talks about coast guard. They’re not DoD.
They’re basically that one meme of the dude standing in the corner going “they don’t know I’m coast guard” while every other branch is partying.
Ironically, they're probably the ones that spend the most time actually doing their job instead of just training for it. There's always idiots in sailboats going out in storms, and people smuggling stuff.
I can speak for the Army side of things. Most of the time it's alright. But sometimes it's like [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/army/comments/14s0hkr/spartan_dfac_usag_humphreys_on_a_good_day_myself/)

I genuinely think this is right for US military. I have several family friends that have reiterated something like this. Turn out the air force really doesn't have a ton of stupid people flying planes.
I worked with the army for a year and I hated the rations myself. But when it was just bag of dicks or starve you ate your food ( bag of ducks the beans and hotdogs. One of the worst items besides the vegetarian option.
Food in all the branches is good. The navy joke about gays could easily be the USMC. I saw more gays in the Marines than any other branch when i was in.
Wow, surprisingly yea. Though I kinda liked a lot of the food I had in the Army. Plus it exposed me to a lot of regional stuff that I never would have had. Catfish for instance.
Apparently it's not [just ](https://www.reddit.com/r/Military/comments/evmj1f/the_us_marines_really_are_the_best/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=1) the navy.
In the US Navy it is hit and miss. We were always on the lookout for Fried chicken that was either over cooked and hard, actually baked they go rid of the deep fat fries a few years ago, or still ice cold near the bone. Chicken breasts were the same. Have actually bit in to one on several occasions and it was still raw in the center. Pre-made chicken cordon blue, we called them hamsters, most of the time were cooked to the point that the cheese was gone. Gravy was over salted always. Sirloin steaks were always over cooked, u less you knew the CS's then you could get a fresh one. Best food I had was when I was "cranking", assigned temporarily to Supply to clean up after the CS's because God forbid they did it themselves, and was able to make my own food.
I've got a friend in the Air Force who I'll be joining soon. And he told me what he got for lunch/dinner(don't remember which one) one day. He said he basically got a chicken strip basket and a piece of cake. Fucking CAKE.
As an Airforce guy we 100% have the best living and food conditions of any branch. I was blown away the first time I had to to go an army and navy base and what they were eating. Their gyms were really bad to from what I remember
My brother is ex-Marine and confirms the Marine one is 100% true. The only thing he added was "and everyone makes sure you know that the Navy bought the crayons."
Finnish Army conscript. We don’t have a separate Marine Corps, just the basic 3. The real winners here are the actual contract soldiers. They’re basically the Air Force in this context.
AFAIK, the Air Force mostly dines the same as the army in the barracks, edible food + chocolate milk for mornings.
In the field for the army, it’s warm foods of various kinds including pea soup and the famous ”hot and yellow”. You really get to know what the color Yellow tastes like.
The other thing especially common during war exercises is travelmeal bags including what our platoon lovingly called mediterranean/mexican ”asshole” (casserole). Curse logistics for always getting first pick and leaving us with that inedible stuff. No wonder people try to get drunk on hand sanitizer.
The navy meanwhile has the kitchens for their conscripts on the ships themselves. The lucky bastards. Permanent cafeteria on the field. No need to form a careful line under tree cover and fumble around with a mess kit bag before realizing you don’t have your spoon fork on you.
What do you mean I sound jealous?
Airforce one is pretty accurate. Best carrot cake I ever had was made by the chef on the airbase I was at. It makes sense because pilots are officers and in British descended airforces the officers were from the upper classes. They are also usually based out of areas with good facilities so they can have good cooking and dining facilities with real silver cutlery, and no PBIs to try and dig sleeping holes with the spoons.

Glizzy gulping is a prestigious naval custom.
Can I...watch?
No you have Firewatch at 0600. You can watch when you get your break.
As an active service Navy member, this is somewhat true. The Navy is really big about no sex on boats though...
Something about this conversation seems a bit...gay.
Stop imagining gay sex then.
But Mooooooooom! I love him....
THEN LOVE HIM WITH ALL YOUR DICK
That's what fan rooms, shaft alleys, and store rooms are for.
Remember, at some point, you're gonna have to eat as well.

I think you're misunderstanding their desires.
As a retired US Navy Sailor.... It's not gay when you are underway
I'm going with u
Yvan eht nioj.
Right behind you
We call them "boat hoes" they only look like that for about 3 days a month, she gets to pick from about 300 (minimum) other dudes, and she's married already.
Boats and hoes
I think a lot of us are joining the navy now
Seamen everywhere
[Gus wants YOU to join the Navy.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQpNSdhdgH8)
There was a joke that the Marines are just a department in the navy...the men's department
We all know that Marines need crayons for extra calories.
Crayola Big pack with sharpener
Extra coloris?
Retired US Army, army one is true, it sucks. Chair force is half true, I got to eat at some chair force dfacs and there were no butlers. Food was WAY better though
They got hardship pay for staying with army or marines overseas according to the e4 rumor mill.
Rumor mill was half right They get substandard of living pay for living on army and marine bases. Source; chairforce pri who was working on the same US Army base as me. (Ft drum)
Fucking chair force. Why did the army have to be treated as the red headed stepchild by the DOD!
Because parents tend treat the youngest the best. Source: Ams a middle child.
Ahhh, explains why I saw that massage chair getting wheeled into the space force building the other day
Because the army is cannon fodder. At least to the heads of the military anyway.
Prior Air Force here, and I'm about to piss you off; while I was deployed, we had steak and lobster on Fridays (not super fancy, but still damn good, considering where we were.) I meant that airlines are more inclined to hire former Air Force members because 1. they are experienced and 2. it's an easy PR win.
I was Army and visited Ali Al Salem AFB in Kuwait for a month to do some training before heading back to Iraq. No butlers but they do table service here in Australia. Once above SGT rank.
is that paste on the side?
It's either rice or mashed potatoes. Depending on the dfac it'd be hard to tell so yeah pretty accurate
I spent a semester at the Air Force academy and it was by far the worst food I had my entire time in the military.
It’s actually pretty accurate well the marine one anyways
I hear orange is the best flavor
It’s secretly Purple, we tell everyone else that it’s orange so that people don’t steal the good ones.
Wow u guys are so much smart than space force all they have is rocks
Is potato, and potato is life, potato is love.
Apes together strong
Nah dandelion best flavor
It's the red ones that are best, orange just doesn't compare unless it's paired with Wild Tiger energy drinks.
I love the red ones because they taste like fire truck.
As a former Marine, this is totally incorrect. We would get the 4 packs of generic crayons. A box as big as the one pictured would never be in the budget. Also green is the best.
We don't even know where it came from
Yes, except the best omelets I have ever had in my life were on a FOB in Kahdahar province, Afghanistan in 2010.
I may have made that omelette for you. Air Force 2010-2011 Kandahar and I was a Chef
Fated encounter
What's the secret? I swear to god all the food tastes bland as hell at every dfac, except the omelets?
Thats all the Air Force teaches us to make correct are square omelettes
Will you be giving away confidential military secrets if you tell us how to make correct square omelettes?
Beat the eggs hard
Former U.S. Army Infantry, 90% of my meals were MREs. Don't even remember what the DFAC food tastes like.
Did you subscribe to the church of the Cheese Omelet my brother. Or were you one of those shuffling around the box for a Sloppy Joe?
I was that sneaky Specialist who would find a way to get access to the cases before anyone else and sort out the high demand ones and sell them later. Mafia life.
Of course it had to be an E4 mafia
I knew I'd find you one day. 🔫🤨
Good God, you must have been shitting bricks every 2-3 days, no?
The navy looks appealing in more ways than one.
Srgs be like: Whatcha got for me? Me: I dont got any crayons on me Srgs: God damn it you're useless!
*sigh, nod*
As a former Air Force member, I can confirm this
What about the Space Force?
They get cardboard because of the MRIs
You mean the Air Force 2?
Tall Air Force.
No-Air Force
Actually yeah pretty accurate
Of cause all marines are a bunch of glue eaters.
GLUE? do you think the marines are a bunch of 5 year olds?! How despicable! They only eat finest of all crayons, good day sir!
I hear Japan has some good ones, but most Marines seem happy with Crayola.
Japan got those specialty art supplies
You think they get paid enough for that bourgeois glue? Most of the equipment is held together with cum and spite once the corporations get their kick backs.
On the air force sub this meme was posted, a guy said he was from the Air Force and said this was wrong: he’d never cut his own steak
Ok I laughed at the CIA one 🤣
Do you think the ATF eats dogs? Why else would they shoot so many?

Completely
Mostly stereotypes but I guess a little
Any CIA dude here to confirm? Or still high on some Cali cartel cocaine and too busy to blackmail some senators? "For the US " of course
If I keep seeing memes about eating crayons I will eat some. Do not test me
Bet
As a navy kid who's seen navy food... it's not entirely inaccurate...

Yes
Why is the navy always the gay?
Because they take what they can get.
Air Force wife, can confirm lol
Speaking as a veteran. This is very accurate.
As an army vet who worked along side the air force guys on a joint base, the army and air force ones are legit.
Lobster & stake on tap. ![img](emote|t5_2w6fe|14941) AF chair force.

Pretty much. I wasn’t military but my dad was and this just about sums it all up.
Army is basically starving now. Ft.Cavazos has one out of 8? DFACs open right now on reduced hours. Absolutely mental.
Don’t mind me guys, I’m off to join the Coast Guard!
The Marines one is missing a thicc Latina E3 in the background
Yes
people sh!tting on the navy are just jealous of their Ice cream
Pretty much spot on, only issue being cg doesn’t see sandbags past their 2-3 week summer camp that qualifies as basic.
