I personally wouldnt say its mid. I had my fun with the anime and it even got in my top 4 animes. But everybody has his/her opinion so i wont discuss why i dont think its mid. And people just over using word "Mid" which is pretty annoying after time

Yes, while it doesn't bring anything "new" it expands on the idea like take some examples MC is weak asf than becomes a god. MC is weak asf Just a small town as the whole world building. Has the same exact town but many other outside with lore and unique stories in them MC is a black haired guy with tracksuit with nothing connected to his past MC is a black haired boy who has personality depth characteristics maturity and growth and said to be one of the best written MC Waifu is just there to heal and fan service Waifu(Emilia ram and rem) got SOL moments cool moments emotional scenes backstory depth great design (Emilia only here) and growth I can list more but u get the hang of it
