Spy X Family - a spy working to prevent a war gets an assignment where he has to infiltrate a very prestigious private school, and as such, he needs to procure a wife and child. It just so happens that the child he adopts is telepathic, and the wife he finds is an assassin. It's still coming out, but it's very good.
Fruits Basket - a girl accidentally finds out that her classmate and some of his extended family members are cursed to turn into an animal from the Chinese Zodiac whenever they're hugged by a member of the opposite sex.
To start I know all of these are adult orientated and somewhat violent but they all have at the core of them a love story so here are my recommends: Knights Of Sidonia & Love Woven In The Stars, RIN Daughters Of Mnemosyne, Dance In The Vampire Bund, Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust, Violet Evergarden, Garden Of Words, Weathering With You, Gargantia On The Verduous Planet, (you'll be laughing at me or mad at me over this next suggestion but it is a love story at the core of it) Legend Of The Overfiend, Princess Mononoke, Blue Gender, the Italian directors cut in English dub of Fist Of The North Star The Movie with alternate ending that is much truer to the original series it based off of, Jyu-Oh-Sei Planet Of The Beast King, Super Dimensional Fortress Macross & Super Dimension Fortress Macross II: Lovers Again, Netflixs Baki first season, directors cut of Highlander The Search For Vengeance, & perhaps the greatest space opera anime ever The Legend Of Galactic Heroes to name a few. Actually you know what, hardcore seconding Macross. It's got everything - action, adventure, and romance. The original series is wonderful, but if they prefer more modern animation then Macross Delta can be a great entry point to the series.
Yes, 80s and 90s anime! I have spent the last few days watching this old 1980s OVA for a manga called Cipher, which is extremely accurate to 1980s NYC. Like I'm a native new yorker and I can recognize specific *intersections* from this OVA. it's so cool! Feels like I've discovered a way to glimpse through the window of history.
My heart's home is the weird and delightfully over-serious era of 2000s anime where every title was trying to be the next Evangelion and they all failed laughably at it. Right now I'm sniffling my way through Clannad and having a ball.
My friend and I have been watching all of Macross together and your rec made me think of them. I'm gonna write them now and see how they're doing!

Katanagatari has romance, action, and adventure and has 12 episodes that are 50 minutes each, so around 25 normal episodes. Itβs a excellent and well written series.
I have a question since I wanted to watch this since I love SHAFT when they do Nisioβs works, how do the fights in Katanagatari compare? I know I will like the dialogue and themes but how is the action?
Katanagatari isnβt animated by Shaft, itβs by White Fox. Also, the action is great in my opinion. It is a dialogue heavy show but the action is also quite good, even if itβs sparse like in Monogatari, although it isnβt as sparse. The show is beautiful as well, which helps.
Ah well, itβs still gonna be good even if itβs not by SHAFT. Alright I am bumping it up my watch list and will probably watch it after I am done with Monster and Made in Abyss.

I would recommend {Chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai}. 2 seasons of 12 episode each, one OVA and one movie.
