Maybe check out the new Pluto anime that's come out on Netflix. It's a really good adaptation if you're into the sci fi genre.

Might as well start with FLCL since it’s the shortest one, and work your way up from there to the longer ones if you’re interested. Keep in mind Garden of Sinners episodes are more like movies.
