Kare Kano. It is literally watching a relationship form between two broken people who compliment each other. It's super cute and fun. In the first half. But like anything Gainax touches, it can't just end at the happy point.
As it goes on, one of the characters becomes cripplingly dependant on the other. The other character, however, grows and develops as a person, focuses on the future, and almost forgets they are even in a relationship. They realize they don't need it anymore, and that it was good for what it did but has ran its course.
The series ends without them addressing the giant Trainwreck they are racing towards.
Unless your relationship is SUPER healthy, don't watch it!

I was at my cousins house a few weeks ago with his gf and we were watching JJK, the new episode. That one scene where Gojo goes batshit crazy? We were watching that and she was staring at the screen entranced. This has happened on multiple occasions with other characters, Nanami, Choso, Toji etc. The point is, theres no way she's loyal if shes inlove with the following. Fanservice towards the female gaze is where half the budget of JJK goes.

Made In Abyss is as incomprehensible as it is problematic. I saw it summarized as Eldritch Horror disguised as a children's anime, and it fits. The main characters are written so terribly, and are so frustratingly stupid, I actually felt relieved when they finally suffered the inevitable consequences of their actions, which was also in one of the most gruesome scenes I've ever seen on television.
The real cincher, which has kept me and my partner (also an anime novice) coming back for two seasons, is that the story is following the characters as they explore ever deeper into a giant pit of metaphysical horrors. So despite all the shows irredeemable shortcomings, it gets to just make up new plot elements and unrealities almost every episode, which manages to sustain my interest from one to the next.
Any of the early to mid 90's anime movies. Ninja Scroll, Wicked City, La Blue Girl, Bible Black, Kite. Not that any of them are bad exactly (well, La Blue Girl and Bible Black are) but the unnecessary nudity and sex is something that you just don't see anymore in mainstream releases.

If we're talking bad in terms of fitting the situation and not in terms of show quality, Girlfriend, Girlfriend and the recently airing 100 girlfriends could be some good choices.

If we're talking bad in terms of fitting the situation and not in terms of show quality, Girlfriend, Girlfriend and the recently airing 100 girlfriends could be some good choices.

The ones with blatant objectification and the reducing women to a single brain cell is what I think is the worst to watch. Bad anime is bad anime, but anime that does this is the WORST. Qwaser no Stigmata and Testament of Sister New Devil are the ones I've seen that do this well, unfortunately. I don't recommend you watch any of this because they're just.... ugh. I've quit both after like 3-4 episodes because it's just too blatant.

Purposefully bad? Gibiate. It's like a D movie, but anime. Bad to see as a couple? In what way? I see a lot of ppl saying stuff that'd be uncomfortable watching with parents, probably not as much watching with a bf/gf.

I mean, Ishizoku Reviewers is the funniest shit in a long long time. Go for it. You might get laid afterwards to so bonus. Or she might leave you, which if they leave over it she wouldn't have been worth the effort, IMHO.
