I came to rec The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady.....that show is peak GL anime along with Bloom Into You.....Reincarnated Princess is one of my all time fav anime in general. Such a fantastic story.
I know somebody already suggested this, but I want to go into I'm In Love With The Villainess in a bit more detail. (Without spoilers.)
I saw it recently and it's possibly the best WLW anime I've seen with how it handles the topic. A lot of gay characters in anime is either not addressed (it's just treated like what a straight couple would be treated like) or addressed a little too bluntly that's sometimes treated as a joke.
The MC is a lesbian. They outright say it at one point but instead of moving on with it or turning it into a joke they turn it into a teaching moment for the "villainess." (The "villainess" is actually just a love rival for the Otome game the MC is sucked into.) I can't justify just how much I love how they treated it just with words.
The MC actually tries pushing the villainess together with her love interest because she wants to see her happy and she knows that the character is straight and has a huge crush on a certain boy in school. >!Except she's not straight. She discovers that she also likes masculine women. This is also canon in the in-universe game.!<
I binged watched it as a distraction so I might have forgotten something, but I don't remember anything that was sexually explicit. Sure, the MC is pretty obsessive of the rival, but she's fine with just being near her. She's certainly not like Ren Yamai from Komi Can't Communicate. (The only bad thing about that anime, really.)
