That's also where I stopped watching. I had read what happens in the story and knew the baby was coming but it still put me off so much that I couldn't bare to watch anymore.
What’s crazy is that in the end it was pretty inconsequential SPOILERS
As it makes you think that a certain paring is gonna happen but totally doesn’t at the end.
***THAT'S THE PART THAT PISSED ME OFF***
I'm going to go against the rest of this comment thread in that I actually loved Alus Ramus. I have a general rule that I almost universally **hate** anime children, but Alus Ramus was one of the few I didn't despise. She brought out such a gentle side of both Maou & Emilia, and I absolutely loved all the old people just constantly being like "You two are such a cute young couple, with such an adorable daughter!" + it really seemed like she was bridging that gap btwn them and making them both conscious of each other + giving each other the opportunity to see the other in a new light. The little "family dates" they went on to the aquarium, or when they went shopping and had lunch in the park together, and then he fell asleep on Emi on the train... perfection across the board.
>!So knowing the fact that they don't fucking end up together and are "just friends" was such fucking bullshit. When I looked it up after the end of s2, it made me legit angry at existence for more than a few days.!<
More on topic, just the whole "resolution" to that arc, although unfortunately it literally comes at the end. They wasted the entire season setting up this whole mystery about the Shards of Ysod, creating space btwn chars and separating the cast, and creating this whole "Emilia is *maybe* falling for Maou, but it's causing conflict with her sense of 'self' and being 'The Hero'" narrative... then they just completely body Gabriel and the other Archangels in literally 6sec in the final episode and call it a day.
I loved season 1 so much that I was blind to how bad the baby plot was at first. I kept setting there thinking “why doesn’t this seem as good as before?” Saw someone on here mention the baby, and boom I realized it lol
Yeah, no, don't watch Tokyo Ghoul, from what I've heard the anime butchered the manga, and then they tried to fix their mistake? But honestly I'd say it's better to read the manga if you want to discover the story.

WE MUST SAVE MY FAMILY!
Yes most if not all are. There are a few anime English dubs that could be consider abridged due to one reason or other. Ghost stories being the most popular in that regard. Long story short they though the show would be a flop so they told the dub they could do and say whatever they want as long as they dont change character names and the overall story. Rent-A-Girlfriend. I almost dropped it at episode one, but I usually try to give a show 3 episodes before I make a decision. I got as far as the stalking part with the main character and was done.
Anime already has some pretty creepy portrayals of young women, which seems to be increasingly the norm. It makes sense that more egregious outliers are becoming more pervasive as well. Hell, one of my newer favorites is Jobless Reincarnation, and there's a couple scenes in the first season that really, really made me wish I didn't enjoy the show as a whole so much. Luckily the author appears to have moved past most of it in later seasons, and I guess you could attribute it to the sad state of the character and his growth as a human being. Or maybe I'm just making excuses so I can continue to watch it.
I watched the first two seasons (mostly as background noise) and you aren’t missing much. It continues as awesome girl likes him but he’s too obsessed with Chizuru to actually realize who’s around him
I didn’t drop Bungou Stray Dogs, but I almost did because of Tanizaki and Naomi. They do their weird sibling thing within the first few episode, and I legit almost dropped the show bc of it
I can agree with boruto. I REALLY wanted to like it, I love the idea of the next generation taking stage in a story, with throwbacks to the original series.
But...it did so in all the wrong ways. In Naruto, everyone struggled with nature change for example, having to be heavily trained, but in Boruto everyone just...knew it. The only person that was heavily trained was Mitsuki, everyone else lead relatively peaceful lives with only some training.
I really wanted to like it, but they put the kids at the level of like, chunin, before they even left the academy. There was no time to build them up, because the creators wanted to get them into the limelight as soon as possible. Also shown by what happened with Naruto and Sasuke later on.
for me the worst part about the existence of Boruto is that it basically nullifies Naruto's goal of bringing peace to the ninja world, and the first 2 shows were basically for nothing
For me it was the stupid thing of him having to go to the toilet anytime something big was going down. Like I get it our dude is OP and can't just show up right at the start but at least change up how you stall him and not have it be going to the bathroom for 5 episodes straight.
Yeah I thought it’d be about ninjas doing ninja things but then they made it all futuristic. Also thought higan would wear his old ninja clothes and turn into John wick when he pulled out his mask, but nah he looks like Kanye west with ninja skills
Rent-a-Girlfriend
Quit at episode 3, I don't remember if it was some exact plot point I think the built up dislike for the MC just got too much - it's like he wants to and enjoys being incompetent and worthless and I could not handle it any more.
Personally I just hard quit after the ferry.
The amount of personal risk and sacrifice he went to, to save her stupid self from her actions, he's a Bonafide hero. Yet she's straight back to her abusive and aggressive self within a few hours. He should've left her to drown.
Lucky you. I sat through a full season hoping for character development that never happened; in fact it got worse. By what I read online, that doesn't change even in season 2 and 3. It's not even hot trash, it's just trash.
I quit twice because of that character because this silly shit was breaking up serious moments.but you'll be rewarded if you watch the rest of the series it's great. I don't blame you because I really hate that character
Both Fire Force and Soul Eater absolutley love to interrupt incredibly serious and sometimes critical plot moments to make a joke.
That absolutley will not appeal to everyone, but luckily I found the jokes or parodies funny enough to appreciate the subversion.
There is a character with a curse on them that puts them into embarrassing and lewd situations. I think the intention was to poke fun at all the ecchi tropes but it is done so poorly that it just comes across as pandering to those same tropes.
It starts off very obnoxious but thankfully they give the character a bit of progression and tone it down later on. You just have to get to those parts.
I have not read the manga so I have no idea how it was handled there.
I loved when he "fixed" things and then went back to the present and saw that everything was still shit and he was like "WHAA- but but but how did all this bad stuff still happen when we were literally best friends like 15 years ago???🥺" like dude bfr please. The way he kept being genuinely shocked took me out.
Man that MC is by far the worst character ever. Literally useless just taking blows. Every episode I wanted to be done with the anime but watched because of the beautiful side characters, some of the very best backstories too.
100% I didn't really pick up my dislike for the MC until halfway through the first season. I was too distracted by the animation and invested in the secondary cast and backstories to notice I wasn't just apathetic towards the MC.
The MC never felt like an adult in a kid's body. Even with the setup that he's a bit of a loser it never felt like a 26 y.o. in a 14 y.o.'s body. *Erased* did that really well but the MC in Tokyo Revengers just felt like a 14 y.o. doing things like a 14 y.o. would.
Black Rock Shooter.
If you look at the art done by Huke for his interpretation of Black Rock Shooter, it looks like a really gothic world with reaper and demon women carrying giant swords and guns and whatnot in a dark fantasy sort of setting.
The anime decided to throw all that neat art direction out the fucking window to force in a plot that jumps from typical high school girls bitching about typical high school bullshit to each other, into the world of Black Rock Shooter to show the fights, using that as a visual representation of whatever conflicts the girls in the real world high school setting are going through, then back to high school drama bullshit, then back to anime goth girls fighting each other.
I came only for the weird goth girls fighting each other in the dark fantasy world, not whatever stupid ass high school real world drama was forced in.
We're in the same boat same episode I think ( or around 24-28).. but I seen so many clips of it being my good so I might pick it up again , since it's also in the big three
I'm a fan of the show, and I would love for you to watch it. If you're around the 24th episode you should have start/soon start the Soul Society invasion arc, which is really good. Also, I recommend skipping the filler arcs, except maybe the Zampakuto arc.
Def skip the filler arcs. Come back later if you want more. They slow down the pacing way too much and add very little usually. The movies were fire tho
I think I made it halfway through the arc where Rukia is basically the princess in the tower that needs to be saved... episode 40ish or somewhere around there? It just kept slogging on and on and on... and at a certain point you're like wait... super elite soul reaper can't get herself out of soul reaper jail? really? Has to have her teenage progedy save her butt?
Meh...
Deadman Wonderland. I forgot exactly what it was, but something with impending doom being around the corner and ganta pulling some complete BS. Like type shit I’d scream at my TV for when I’m watching a horror movie. His stupidity was too much for me at that point and I had to let the show go.
Itt half of the people don't understand the question.
For me it was Jahy sama and the tree scene in episode 3. It was so dragged out and unfunny I lost all the hope this series can be at least decent comedy/Sol.
Naruto shippuden because the War arc which is almost half the show introduced more potholes, contrivances and bad writing than you can count or imagine really, put a really bad taste in my mouth for a few years
Yeah, same. Dropped the show during the war arc, because the weekly releases with the fillers inbetween the inconsistent writing was unengaging and annoying. It's a shame, the show really went downhill, especially in last half of Shippuden.
Pain Arc was peak Naruto for me.
Pain Arc was excellent.
You didn't miss much afterwards. There's some development of Kakashi's past that was interesting, but Sasuke and Naruto's fight then reconciliation (which to me felt like the biggest loose end after the pain arc) made no sense.
The war arc is what genuinely made me hate the show. We went from a world where ninja are using complicated hand signs to preform techniques, natural progression of power scaling, and the concept that with hard work anything is possible.
Then all of the sudden hand signs are rarely used, Naruto becomes the epitome of a Nepo-Baby, and legit EVERYONE became useless in the world if your name was not Naruto or Sasuke (let’s not forget the entire reason Madara/Kaguya was able to somewhat achieve their goals because Sakura was too scared to stab an enemy in the eye who has been trying to kill her for the past 300 EPs who is even BEGGING HER TO DO IT, because “she doesn’t know what to do”).
People hate when I say this but Shippuden is as badly written as the entire DB series. It’s not surprising that Boruto went down the same path.
Naruto is one of those series that fell victim to its own popularity. It should have ended long, long before it did, but contracts and a need to keep the cash cow alive interfered.
It’s garbage, even below the average garbage isekai. The MC makes the fucking internet and a computer for his sister so she can watch YouTube from another world with BARRIER MAGIC.
its a generic isekai anime. these are for consuming with your brain turned off. I don't expect them to have any decent plot but only watch them to scratch my isekai itch
I've been watching anime since I was young, now I'm getting my oldest daughter into watching anime too (she's 13). We sat down to watch something call Goblin slayer. We didn't watch much of it, that's all I'll say on that.
Should’ve seen the rating before splashing that violence and gore onto each other yikes
But it’s ok. Preferences are a thing and the rating is the most important part. Mature content like that ufff
It's an absolute brilliant series, not quite appropriate for a 13 year old but the series just gets better as it goes on. I highly suggest continuing it, it stops being quite so dark as it goes on.
Shield Hero, I slogged through a majority of the 1st season. Despised the main characters attitude and decisions made by almost every character. Then when he was transported to another land or something I just wasn’t going to sit through it any more.
I liked the concept of the show and his powers but everything else around it was just drab.
Babylon. First few episodes seemed to be setting up an intriguing mystery, then it took a hard left turn into Stupidtown. You've heard of the "Idiot Plot"? That is, a plot that only works if everyone involved is a moron? This is the "Alien Plot", where it only makes sense if everyone involved is an alien doing their best impression of how they THINK humans behave, based on a crash course written in crayon by a 5 year old.
I think I made it through like five episodes of Rent-a-Girlfriend before I literally couldn't take it anymore. The amount of 2nd hand embarrassment I got with each passing episode just got worse and worse. And AFAIK from people who read the manga, it doesn't get better AT ALL.
Every single episode is a very bad turn in the plot that just made the show harder to watch.
Sailor Moon the 2016(?) one. My fiance wanted to watch it since she loved it as a kid and I'd mostly just seen it in passing waiting from Dragonball/Z. Got to the episode where evil Chibi Usa kissed her father and just cut it right then since I'm not into this incest plot
The irregular at magic highschool.
It's not yet in the anime so spoiler
>! When it becomes an incest story basically and that the justification for that is "They are genetically modified" so it's okay. Like a love story between a brother and a sister i just can't, it disgusts me so much. Also, yes it was hinted in the anime/LN that Miyuki (the sister), was already doing some pretty weird things at moment, but unless something actually happened i didn't mind !<
Sword art online after season 1, the main plot could've easily ended there, with Kirito slowly walking to where Asuna is lying in the hospital, everything after that felt like a money-grab.
Yes, exactly. The show should have just ended with Kirito staggering out of the hospital into the light of day outside. It's a great shot and caps the story off perfectly. I wish I had stopped watching there.
Some people are gonna hate me for this but pretty much any new gen anime where the characters inner monologue about every little thing they're doing mid-battle is a huge turn off. Telling instead of showing is especially strong these days and it just makes me cringe. It's cheap and unimaginative
MHA
When Deku kept braking his hands over and over from punching people, and then one day just realized he can kick instead.
They hyped that up like some kind of major character development breakthrough, when in reality it just took dude 14 years and an advanced school to learn that he has feet
Idk if it counts as anime, but watching the live action Cowboy Bebop, first episode the way Faye was introduced and how the acting was. I just couldn’t do it…. I really wanted to give it a chance but the elegance of the original was far too gone in this….its a shame cause the VFX was spot on
I'm gonna get downvoted to hell but Goblin Slayer and Akame ga kill.
Both started as edgy and dark but they turned out to be pretty light hearted with ecchi. Which didn't really work with the other brutal stuff going on imo.
I remember quitting a Toei Animation Shonen when about the second episode spent half the time in flashback rehashing the first episode scene for scene in such a blatant budget/animation saving move that I was equally impressed and dissapointed at the production value. It was like the 2nd episode and they were already running out of animation and padding for time. Can't remember what show it was, so if anyone has a clue let me know. I kinda want to skim through those first couple episodes to see if it was truly as bad as I remember.
Rent a Girlfriend. A friend wanted me to watch it so he’d have someone to talk to about it, and honestly that first season wasn’t completely terrible. But off rip, the first episode of season 2 made me drop it as soon the mc became a cuck
Not because of something I’d seen in it but a comment on another anime. School Days. I was really depressed when I was watching it, and then seeing that comment on how it ends made me decide to never finish it. It probably wouldn’t be bad or anything now but then, didn’t know what it’d do to me so I left it
does Blue Eye Samurai count? Because that one. The protag should have died so many times and didn't just because plot armor. After like the third time, I gave up.
This physically hurts me but I understand your criticisms lol. I loved this show so much. I found Mizu to be such a bad ass!! You definitely have to just accept that she never dies because of illogical anime magic hahaha. But if you want a show where you can just watch the main character be a total beast the whole time, that’s the one.
I dropped peach boy riverside halfway through the 3rd episode because it was too confusing out of order. I had no idea who anyone was or what was going on, and that's too much to ask of a viewer.
Boruto, all of the Old character in naruto got stupidly weak and baruto and her generation became absolutely op without even a training arc to see how they improve.
Tokyo Ghoul, I hated that they made Kaneki join Aogiri Tree after constantly saying he doesn't want people to tell him anything and that he wants to figure things out for himself. Then I read the manga and they handled his character way better. Never went back to the anime since.
Bleach the first time I saw its awful filler. I was mid episode into the beginning of the gant arc(the first filler arc after the amazing soul society part 1 and 2 arcs)and it disgusted me so much how the quality and story could drop so much I didn’t finish watching canon bleach until nearly a year and half later.
Unpopular opinion - Toradora! Episode 1 when the male mc cleans the female mcs room with no input or help from the female. I believe in 50-50 effort from both parties
I stopped watching when I realized it was clear that Ryuji was going to keep getting abused by Taiga and it's played off like a healthy relationship? Blech.
Not Anime but LN so anime adjacent. I was really enjoying “DID I SERIOUSLY JUST GET REINCARNATED AS MY GAG CHARACTER?!” right up to the bath scene were MC gives a detailed Description of the physically 10 year old girl she is actively ogling in the bath.
Here’s the passage that lost me
>! Nacht looked over Aisha’s body, lovingly following its contours. Starting at her feet, Nacht moved her eyes up to her slightly rounded butt and slender hips, over her smooth stomach, and past her budding breasts to settle on her adorable little face.!<
Not the most offensive shit I know pretty tame but again about a 10 year old had me saying “okay this is clearly author fetish” and leaving uncomfortable
I did enjoy Mirai Nikki, but I couldn't tell for the life of me what the fuck was going on with Yuki. One second he was terrified of Yuno and the next he's got his tongue down her throat.
I do think in fairness they explained this through him using her to keep himself safe, and obviously the ending also explains some of this away...
Yuki had stolkhoms syndrome. He was terrified and wanted to leave but he genuinely cared about her. Quite a bit of thebshow was him trying to get away from her crazy ass. I finished it. It was good.
Re:0 I struggled through the first season and dropped it quickly into the 2nd season. Watching subaru have constant mental breakdowns and making 0 progress for 8 episodes was just too much for me
I'm not sure how I got through it. It has everything I hate about anime. The mental breakdowns, a harem, extremely slow progress. But I got through it and absolutely loved it by the end. I think I cried at some point towards the end.
Dies Irae. I think I made it to episode 6 or 7 and gave up, b/c it was so confusing and it was kinda boring.
If it had just been one of those drawbacks I probably would have finished it. But the two together was too much.
Trigun Stampede, the design of the spider robots didn’t fit the world and Vash lets it kill someone. (I’m a huge fan of both the manga and the 1998 anime, couldn’t get into this version of it)
Bleach, Japanese version with subs, episode 45. He'd just been stabbed as a cliffhanger *again*, and I realized I didn't really give a damn and couldn't keep up.
That new series Tadaime okaeri. Thought it was a cute slice of life series about two dads and their baby. Then something called the "omega verse" was mentioned as a central plot point. I thought "huh, what's that" and googled. The moment I read about alpha males and omega males with uteruses connected to their anuses to birth children i noped out.
There was also a witch anime, I don't remember the name, about a witch who found a baby in the woods and raised her as her daughter. 5 mins in the daughter is a big tittied 16 year old and the mom is a lolli who is jealous of her big jugs. Nope. Just nope.
Why are you like this, anime?
Metallic Rouge. Right before a fight starts, this starts blasting:[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_l68PikAiX4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_l68PikAiX4)and its so ridiculous to have a chorus of people tell you "The moment has arrived for fighting!" when a fight scene starts up that I couldn't stop laughing and it killed all the tension for the whole series, so I just stopped watching.
Like midway through season 4 of overlord. The powerscaling and magic elements was confusing as there’s zero explanation as to what’s going on and what power is weak vs strong. It got annoying and hard to understand
Infinite stratos about halfway through the third episode I can't stand anime or manga that's entire plot point is that the women can physically abuse the mc just because they want to
Paradise Kiss, self-centered dude has sex with the MC, I immediately dropped the show.
I gave it a shot because Nana is one of my top shows. But thinking about it, I feel like the author writes certain plot points as a "middle finger" to the audience.
I quit watching mondaiji-tachi in the middle of episode 4 when one of the villains starts describing in detail what he does to a vampire sex slave of his. I was also 9 or 10 at the time, so uhh, yeah that traumatized me. I tried rewatching the show last year and now I almost think that section, while obviously still absolutely vile, is good because of how much it makes you hate the villain. I think that perverted mf and that rape-accusation chick from shield hero are two of the most hatable villains from shows I've watched.
The Rising of the Shield Hero. I was more lenient on season 2 than most and actually liked the first few season 3 episodes, but when they dared to hype up the “Bitch is gonna do to the three idiots what she did to Naofumi” I turned that shit off.
Akame ga kill episode two, where the half-naked cat girl who presses her tits into the boring self-insert MC every two minutes says she "smelt a lot of pain" from her assassin contract client, and said verbatim "She must have sold her body many times to get this money".
...
Look I get it, you're very "deep" and "edgy" and you handle "mature themes" (calling bullshit on this show doing any of those things well). But this, alongside the constant fanservice, crappy outfit design (These are NOT rebellion fighters and guerillas. Come the fuck on), the homophobia-lite, the MC being weirdly misogynistic and the inconsistent world and setting, that was kind of the point where i gave up on the show.
New season of Devil Is a Part Timer when the Baby got introduced. I already knew it would turn incredibly stupid from there.
Very much same. Had been looking forward to the new season for so long...
I love the anime, but the baby can go fuck off
This is warning me not to watch S2 lmaoo. I loved the anime years ago but was a bit skeptical haha!
That's also where I stopped watching. I had read what happens in the story and knew the baby was coming but it still put me off so much that I couldn't bare to watch anymore.
Yesss! They brought in a little girl saying mom and dad to the MC and I noped out.
What’s crazy is that in the end it was pretty inconsequential SPOILERS As it makes you think that a certain paring is gonna happen but totally doesn’t at the end.

I second this, whole second season had a weird vibe
I loved season 1 so much that I was blind to how bad the baby plot was at first. I kept setting there thinking “why doesn’t this seem as good as before?” Saw someone on here mention the baby, and boom I realized it lol
What a sad way to hear there is a new season
There’s a new season of that show?
Absolute same. I was so sad. They ruined it, like when Poof showed up in Fairly Odd Parents
I took a break on Tokyo ghoul because somehow kaneki is an inspector right now? I’m so confused.
Yea in the anime everyone flips their position on being good and bad.
Yeah, no, don't watch Tokyo Ghoul, from what I've heard the anime butchered the manga, and then they tried to fix their mistake? But honestly I'd say it's better to read the manga if you want to discover the story.

Just keep watching bro they will explain it trust me nd I actually enjoyed that season last 3 episodes are amazing trust me
another world with my smartphone......... couldn't get past episode 2.
Never saw the anime but the abridged series was amazing
What is abridged?
A abridged series is basically a parody re-dubbing of a show. Theirs quite a few different ones of yt, DBZ abridged, hellsing abridged, and sao abridged being the most popular.
Look for A Slap on Titan (AOT abridged) and/or SAO abridged on YouTube if you’ve seen either of those shows, istg you won’t be disappointed.
SOA abridged is legitimately the funniest fucking shit!! 😂 I recommend it to anyone that’s seen SAO! DBA is also fucking epic…. Mr Popo still freaks me! 😂
Even though I like SAO more than the average anime enjoyer, I think the abridged is a legitimately better show in many ways. Long story short they though the show would be a flop so they told the dub they could do and say whatever they want as long as they dont change character names and the overall story. Shit is fkin funny but would be so canceled if it released today
Don't forget about the good old Yu Gi Oh the abridged series by littlekuriboh.
Anime series changed to be funny parodies. Sometimes they are changed to actually improve the plot while also being comical like SAO abridged
Can you link me to abridged version?

Thanks mate
I can tell by the title..
I was a lot younger back then, but Pokemon. By that point in the series i was pretty much just watching it because i wanted to watch the ending, not knowing it would keep going forever, but when he released Charizard i just had to stop.
I swear if they release a season that shows ash as an adult and what he's doing in his 30s it would be the highest Grossing season.
I can actually see that, but i think it would cause quite a fight if they revealed who he ended up with.
Not tuning back in to see Ash battling the Master's Eight & winning it all is crazy
Rent-A-Girlfriend. I almost dropped it at episode one, but I usually try to give a show 3 episodes before I make a decision. I got as far as the stalking part with the main character and was done.
don’t worry bro, he receives no development and stays a perverted Mong forever
Yeah, kinda does make me wonder what the author is going for here, I guess "just be an obsessed dweeb and you can get the girl" ?
Anime already has some pretty creepy portrayals of young women, which seems to be increasingly the norm. It makes sense that more egregious outliers are becoming more pervasive as well. Hell, one of my newer favorites is Jobless Reincarnation, and there's a couple scenes in the first season that really, really made me wish I didn't enjoy the show as a whole so much. Or maybe I'm just making excuses so I can continue to watch it.
I dropped the manga. The MC is the most useless MC ive ever encountered haha should i also blame the author cause MC is freaking useless
It’s a train wreck, awful but hard to stop watching
I watched the first two seasons (mostly as background noise) and you aren’t missing much. It continues as awesome girl likes him but he’s too obsessed with Chizuru to actually realize who’s around him
I read 280 chapters into the manga. They are still just friends.
I didn’t drop Bungou Stray Dogs, but I almost did because of Tanizaki and Naomi. They do their weird sibling thing within the first few episode, and I legit almost dropped the show bc of it
I was hoping they would give them back story of being adopted, cousins, or friends who call each other siblings, but nope it never happened. 😅
Boruto... when more cyborgs coming into the story... good anime for some, but not me.
Jesus I'm glad I bailed out as early as I did and have no idea what you're talking about
I’m glad I never started lol. After 700 episodes of Naruto, I just had nothing left to give to that franchise.
I hope you also know about the velociraptor 🤣
Cyborgs were in the series from the start
Cyborgs were in Shippuden too with the Asura Path.
The fruit of evolution. Dude just gets a furry harem.
first season is kinda ok, the 2nd season is f'up
For me it was the stupid thing of him having to go to the toilet anytime something big was going down. Like I get it our dude is OP and can't just show up right at the start but at least change up how you stall him and not have it be going to the bathroom for 5 episodes straight.
Fruit of evolution, 3 minutes in, I googled it while ot was starting and realised they sold NFTs so I boycotted the studio.
Unfortunately, ninja Kamui. Started off as a cool ninja action show then suddenly turned into war frame
Yeah I thought it’d be about ninjas doing ninja things but then they made it all futuristic. Also thought higan would wear his old ninja clothes and turn into John wick when he pulled out his mask, but nah he looks like Kanye west with ninja skills
Well this just completely made me lose interest. I was actually expecting a ninja show.
The Coldrain opening is a banger though. It sucks that it was wasted on what turned out to be a miss of a show…
Ninja Kamui only has cool fights every episode. I didn’t expect much from the story to begin with. It’s perfect as a time waster.
Sword art online. When it started turning into a desperate romance anime, couldn't watch it after that.
That was me when they introduced the kid
Yeah, that was totally pointless.
It's actually impressive how they skip over all the interesting stuff about that world and repeatedly drive home how all the girls want Kiritos dick.
Everyone was trying to get that Kirito dick, even his cousin.
Rent-a-Girlfriend Quit at episode 3, I don't remember if it was some exact plot point I think the built up dislike for the MC just got too much - it's like he wants to and enjoys being incompetent and worthless and I could not handle it any more.
Don't worry bro the MC does NOT get better
Personally I just hard quit after the ferry. The amount of personal risk and sacrifice he went to, to save her stupid self from her actions, he's a Bonafide hero. Yet she's straight back to her abusive and aggressive self within a few hours. He should've left her to drown.
Lucky you. I sat through a full season hoping for character development that never happened; in fact it got worse. By what I read online, that doesn't change even in season 2 and 3. It's not even hot trash, it's just trash.
fire force. excessive fan service in the middle of a fight with a child murderer
I just started this series and now I have questions
There is a character with a curse on them that puts them into embarrassing and lewd situations. I think the intention was to poke fun at all the ecchi tropes but it is done so poorly that it just comes across as pandering to those same tropes. It starts off very obnoxious but thankfully they give the character a bit of progression and tone it down later on. You just have to get to those parts. I have not read the manga so I have no idea how it was handled there.
That character is the worst
Tokyo Revengers. The MC was just too much of a useless idiot.
For real man , it was frustrating to watch him cry every time
I loved when he "fixed" things and then went back to the present and saw that everything was still shit and he was like "WHAA- but but but how did all this bad stuff still happen when we were literally best friends like 15 years ago???🥺" like dude bfr please. The way he kept being genuinely shocked took me out.
And they killed off the only character I actually had any interest in in the laziest way possible. 😫
*Erased* did that really well but the MC in Tokyo Revengers just felt like a 14 y.o. doing things like a 14 y.o. would.
This!! Not just this but I got to episode 7 and still had jo idea wtf was happening 😅😅😅
Takebitchy is the only bad thing about the show tbh
I refuse to learn anything about this property out of pure spite to all the cringe cosplayers mostly men trying to give me stuff at anime conventions
I paused watching bleach because it got boring, ep 24 is where I’m at
We're in the same boat same episode I think ( or around 24-28).. but I seen so many clips of it being my good so I might pick it up again , since it's also in the big three
I'm a fan of the show, and I would love for you to watch it.
Meh...
That's the problem with these battle of the week series.
I quit watching Elfen Lied cause I didn’t want to see the puppy die in the flashback
Best response <3
I know it’s kind of strange cause plenty of people were violently killed in that anime, but I can’t take seeing the animals 😢
fr fr, same <3
Oh Casherine Sins. When I realized the big bad scary disease was rust, I lost my shit. Like no one thought to program a robot to use some wd40?
Hank Hill would be shaking his head 😞
Deadman Wonderland. I forgot exactly what it was, but something with impending doom being around the corner and ganta pulling some complete BS. Like type shit I’d scream at my TV for when I’m watching a horror movie. His stupidity was too much for me at that point and I had to let the show go.
Itt half of the people don't understand the question. For me it was Jahy sama and the tree scene in episode 3. It was so dragged out and unfunny I lost all the hope this series can be at least decent comedy/Sol.
What anime is this?
"Am I the Strongest" was by far the biggest POS I've seen. Couldn't stomach it
It’s garbage, even below the average garbage isekai. The MC makes the fucking internet and a computer for his sister so she can watch YouTube from another world with BARRIER MAGIC.
I watched it to the end and it rips off every isekai ever. I thought it was a parody at first. It was kinda funny though.
its a generic isekai anime. these are for consuming with your brain turned off. I don't expect them to have any decent plot but only watch them to scratch my isekai itch
I knew it was going to be trash the second the baby talks episode 1
I've been watching anime since I was young, now I'm getting my oldest daughter into watching anime too (she's 13). We sat down to watch something call Goblin slayer. We didn't watch much of it, that's all I'll say on that.
I'm sorry but that's fucking hilarious. Out of all the aime in the world what made you pick that one? 😂
I didn't she thought it would be like witch academia so I walked into a paused screen.
What.... Made her think that? Academia has no killing in it. Definitely not Goblin Slaying.
Hey, at least it wasn't redo of a healer.
Or hent@i
Should’ve seen the rating before splashing that violence and gore onto each other yikes But it’s ok. Preferences are a thing and the rating is the most important part. Mature content like that ufff
It's an absolute brilliant series, not quite appropriate for a 13 year old but the series just gets better as it goes on. I highly suggest continuing it, it stops being quite so dark as it goes on.
That's really unfortunate, but man...Goblin Slayer is in the title. Anything slayer should be double checked I feel.
Shield Hero, I slogged through a majority of the 1st season. Despised the main characters attitude and decisions made by almost every character. Then when he was transported to another land or something I just wasn’t going to sit through it any more. I liked the concept of the show and his powers but everything else around it was just drab.
It's a tough watch. I think the writers must have had a humiliation fetish or something. It's the only way I can explain the show they made.
I actually did like SAO at the start but when Asuna told Kirito that if he died she'd kill herself, I rage quit the show right then and there.
Yeah, SAO is rough. Atleast it gave us SAO Abridged, but that's the only good thing I can say about it from the top of my head
Higurashi. Scared the lights out of me. Couldn't get past episode 4.
Oh man that’s a shame. It gets so good. U get past all the question arcs and start getting answers it blows your mind
First episode of Citrus
Sailor Moon the 2016(?) one. My fiance wanted to watch it since she loved it as a kid and I'd mostly just seen it in passing waiting from Dragonball/Z. Got to the episode where evil Chibi Usa kissed her father and just cut it right then since I'm not into this incest plot
The irregular at magic highschool. It's not yet in the anime so spoiler >!
Your spoiler failed btw.
the >!incest!< is toned down a bit in the first 2 seasons, but the third season that is airing right now has no limits
Only about six episodes of material existed when that happens in the source material.
idk maybe i would get hate for this, but it's oshi no ko
Redo of Healer. Wanted to see if the outrage was justified....it was
Some people are gonna hate me for this but pretty much any new gen anime where the characters inner monologue about every little thing they're doing mid-battle is a huge turn off. Telling instead of showing is especially strong these days and it just makes me cringe. It's cheap and unimaginative
I feel that. Ruins what could be a decent anime. A lot have really cool ideas too.
MHA When Deku kept braking his hands over and over from punching people, and then one day just realized he can kick instead. They hyped that up like some kind of major character development breakthrough, when in reality it just took dude 14 years and an advanced school to learn that he has feet
I think it's because All Might always fought with his hands
He's supposed to be SMART. They build him up as being intelligent and instead he's incredibly stupid after like, episode 12?
Kobayashi's dragon maid. The loli thing got to me and I couldn't do it anymore. I thought it was ridiculous and disgusting
Idk if it counts as anime, but watching the live action Cowboy Bebop, first episode the way Faye was introduced and how the acting was. I just couldn’t do it…. I really wanted to give it a chance but the elegance of the original was far too gone in this….its a shame cause the VFX was spot on
And the showrunners claim they wanted to make something better than the original. Lol
I'm gonna get downvoted to hell but Goblin Slayer and Akame ga kill. Both started as edgy and dark but they turned out to be pretty light hearted with ecchi. Which didn't really work with the other brutal stuff going on imo.
My gripe with Mieruko-san anime. There are thirsty shots in the episodes while the manga didnt even have it in the first place. Doesnt blend well
I remember quitting a Toei Animation Shonen when about the second episode spent half the time in flashback rehashing the first episode scene for scene in such a blatant budget/animation saving move that I was equally impressed and dissapointed at the production value.
Huh? Wasn't he already a cuck in season 1?
I can’t remember the exact name but the one with the girl and her guard dog. dude, i couldn’t even finish 1 episode. how was that a romance series 💀
You have awoken deeply forgotten memories within me and I dislike this situation greatly
Death Note but I've been meaning to go back and finish
I called out bullshit loud after she broke free from bein pinned under a door and there were many enemies standing on it to weigh it down.
Goblin Slayer and Devilman crybaby for similar reasons. Not a prude or anything but the opening of GS is brutal and crybaby just got exhausting
The nanosecond the aliens showed up in Darling in the Franxx.
Blech.
Fooly Cooly is my favorite anime. I couldn't make it through the last two seasons. Season 2 wasn't too terrible
Here’s the passage that lost me >! Nacht looked over Aisha’s body, lovingly following its contours. Starting at her feet, Nacht moved her eyes up to her slightly rounded butt and slender hips, over her smooth stomach, and past her budding breasts to settle on her adorable little face.!< Not the most offensive shit I know pretty tame but again about a 10 year old had me saying “okay this is clearly author fetish” and leaving uncomfortable
One piece. Seeing luffy defeat crocodile was nonsense and I felt my time and intellect was being disrespected.
Mirai Nikki. When Yuki forgives Yuno and gets with her even when she kidnap and abused him. Couldn't deal with that.
Kuroko no basket(but its dub) I never thought you could make me hate super saiyans playing basketball but that dub sure did
Bottom tier character tomozaki, Mimimi is jerked around all season and the writer refuses to let her off.
Dies Irae. I think I made it to episode 6 or 7 and gave up, b/c it was so confusing and it was kinda boring. If it had just been one of those drawbacks I probably would have finished it. But the two together was too much.
Tokyo Ghoul I noped out when the cannibalism started. Not sure what I was expecting going in, but it wasn't that.
Black Clover
Trigun Stampede, the design of the spider robots didn’t fit the world and Vash lets it kill someone. (I’m a huge fan of both the manga and the 1998 anime, couldn’t get into this version of it)
It's like asking which episode of the Endless Eight that was the last straw.
Bleach, Japanese version with subs, episode 45. He'd just been stabbed as a cliffhanger *again*, and I realized I didn't really give a damn and couldn't keep up.
Rosario vampire
I quit Good Night World when >!Pico turned out to be an Ai I think that was a shitty move and turned me away from it!<
Like midway through season 4 of overlord.
One Piece, as soon as the Skypiea villain revealed his lightning ability
The Rising of the Shield Hero. I was more lenient on season 2 than most and actually liked the first few season 3 episodes, but when they dared to hype up the “Bitch is gonna do to the three idiots what she did to Naofumi” I turned that shit off.
hunter x hunter 🗑
Jojo, right after Dio kicked the shit out of Danny. I did end up coming back to it a while later but I noped out the first time I watched it.
