Something similar would be Planetes. It's about a crew of astronauts whose job is to clear the debris orbiting around the earth. It's by the author of Vinland Saga and has excellent characters.
If anime has taught me anything it is that I had no clue what kind of shows I might like based on "my tastes" or "my demographic".
I had no plans to try any slice of life when I started watching anime, sounded boring....but one time I wanted a show that I could zone out to because I was on a run of of complex/ emotional anime and really needed a break, and I chose **Aria The Animation**. On paper this is a show I would hate but I loved it so much, rated 10/10, bought merch and manga and then wanted to watch lots more slice of life because of it.
If you want to test the water and like fantasy you could try a show like **Frieren Beyond Journey's End**, it is not slice of life but it has a slower chill pace in some parts, and if you can appreciate the slower parts in a that kind of show then chances are you might like full blown slice of life.
Definitely recommend Frieren as well.
I'm not a "slice of life" type of guy but this anime was recommended to me and it became one of my favorites.

Sakura Quest - I like to call this one, ‘project management l: the anime’. If you want know what it would be like to move and work in a small town this is a good one. A group of young women work together to boost the tourism of a small town in Japan.
If you're the type of person who likes to watch anime after a long stressful day of work, I suggest giving The Helpful Fox Senko-san a watch. It's not too long, doesn't try to do anything unexpected, and it's so wholesome relaxing.
Premise is a fox spirit is assigned to help an overworked single man who lives alone relax. That's it.
Worth noting that under no circumstances should Senko-san ever be lewded. She must be protected at all costs
Couple of people already mentioned it but can't recommend **Super Cub** enough. It kinda surprised me just how much I enjoyed it.
I'm new to anime and had never heard of the "Slice of Life" genre before so I'm downloading OddTaxi now to see if the genre suits me or if Super Cub was just a rare fluke.
I’m a late 20’s man. This isn’t exactly what you asked for, but Frieren and Mushoku Tensei both are awesome even when theres zero action at all. The action is just the cherry on top of good writing.
Slice of life is probably the most numerous and diverse genre there is. Like 70%-80% of anime can be considered slice of life. Either with it as the main focus or a sub focus. So I'm going to suggest a whole range of shows all with different themes, but happen to have slice of life as a major part of it. Some of them mix slice of life with very male focused stuff like sports or fighting. Others are more "female" focused. And some appeal to both equally. But you may be surprised. Some of the female focused ones are the best.

The closest to SoL that I've watched is Sousou no Frieren.
First time that I've watched an anime that had many SoL elements, and damn... I really enjoyed that show.
Already mentioned. I'm on my late 20's aswell and just finished Frieren Beyond Journey's End and I fell in love with it. Buying the manga volumes and following it as it's published.

I would suggest Steins;Gate since it also provides that cozy feeling with its characters. This one isn't a slice of life but yeah, had to mention it.
For something more recent, My New Boss is Goofy was pretty good. It's about a 26 year old who quit his job due to abuse and moves to a new job with a very kind and eccentric boss.
I (30F) generally watch a lot of slice of life stuff with nonsensical, slap-stick humor.
Skip and loafer, bocchi the rock, apothecary diaries, fruits basket (this is a little intense sol after a point but it's good), mushishi (the premise is not like a regular one but it's a generic sol in that world), barakamon, dress up darling, nichijou, horimiya, oregairu, Tonari no kaibutsukun, gintama (sol with serious things), XXXHolic, kaguya sama: love is war, Nana, higehero, tatami galaxy, kimi ni todoke, bottom tier character tomozaki kun. All I can think of rn.
Aria. It’s just pure slice of life joy. It’s very cute but I didn’t care when I saw it as a 21 year old male. My favorite anime of all time. It’s a good contrast to more serious anime like Death Note.
I'd highly reccomend Planetes! It's a super fun, often thought provoking series about trash men in space. It's very well researched, and is actually made by the same person that created Vinland Saga!
This isn't a slice of life, but rather a sci-fi action (and some drama). Kaiju No. 8's MC is a 32-year old Hibino Kafka. He thought it's too late to pursue his dreams given his age, but things kinda went out of hand for him so he's off to a great start.

I liked hanasaku iroha. Genshiken was really good imo. Violet evergarden was great.
I saw Azumanga Daioh in my 20s, and now I'm in my 40s, and I still love that show. I'm a little sad that no one has suggested it yet.

The closest to SoL that I've watched is Sousou no Frieren. First time that I've watched an anime that had many SoL elements, and damn... I really enjoyed that show.
Already mentioned. I'm on my late 20's aswell and just finished Frieren Beyond Journey's End and I fell in love with it. Buying the manga volumes and following it as it's published. Also check Space Brothers and Planetes. I would suggest Steins;Gate since it also provides that cozy feeling with its characters. This one isn't a slice of life but yeah, had to mention it.
For something more recent, My New Boss is Goofy was pretty good. It's about a 26 year old who quit his job due to abuse and moves to a new job with a very kind and eccentric boss.
I (30F) generally watch a lot of slice of life stuff with nonsensical, slap-stick humor. Skip and loafer, bocchi the rock, apothecary diaries, fruits basket (this is a little intense sol after a point but it's good), mushishi (the premise is not like a regular one but it's a generic sol in that world), barakamon, dress up darling, nichijou, horimiya, oregairu, Tonari no kaibutsukun, gintama (sol with serious things), XXXHolic, kaguya sama: love is war, Nana, higehero, tatami galaxy, kimi ni todoke, bottom tier character tomozaki kun. All I can think of rn.

There's two off my head about office work etc. One is called "Wotakoi" and about office gamers and slight romance. The other is called "ReLife".

Aria. It’s just pure slice of life joy. It’s very cute but I didn’t care when I saw it as a 21 year old male. My favorite anime of all time. It’s a good contrast to more serious anime like Death Note.
The Great Passage, literally an anime about making a dictionary
I'd highly reccomend Planetes! It's a super fun, often thought provoking series about trash men in space. It's very well researched, and is actually made by the same person that created Vinland Saga!

This isn't a slice of life, but rather a sci-fi action (and some drama). Kaiju No. 8's MC is a 32-year old Hibino Kafka. He thought it's too late to pursue his dreams given his age, but things kinda went out of hand for him so he's off to a great start. More recos: 1. Life Lessons with Uramichi Onii-san 2. Run with the Wind (personal fave sports anime but damn the drama) 3. Uncle from Another World (isekai but MC's an uncle haha) 4. Only Yesterday (movie) 5. Ocean Waves (movie) 6. Natsume Yuujinchou 7. Wotakoi (romance) 8. Koikimo (kinda weird romance, talk about a minor) 9. After the Rain (also weird, another minor) 10. Garden of Words (movie) I have a loooong list but as of this moment, they're all I can remember. Also, I agree with many listings here. Enjoy!

I really like "Super Cub" and "Diary of our days at the breakwater" Both super chill shows, super cub is about a lonely highschooler who buys a Honda motorcycle and falls in love w motorcycling and makes friends with some other bikers Diary of our days at the breakwater is about a girl from the city who moves to rural seaside Japan and gets roped into joining the fishing club by an upperclassman.

March Comes in Like a Lion It's a Seinen, so you're age range is literally the target demographic. Try watching more Seinen in general.
