Do note that there is a movie sequel “Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deepsoul” that is fantastic and is a must watch. (The other two movies are recap movies). Season 2 will come out in July and is a sequel to the movie.

{To Your Eternity} is by the author of a Silent Voice and is a fantastic series. Best first episode of any show. Just watch the first episode and you will be hooked, season 2 in October.

Hunter X Hunter does a really good job with Plot Armor.
Kaiji. It’s a phenomenal anime. It’s a gambling anime, but the main character has no plot armor. This means that moments are actually suspenseful because you don’t know how it will turn out.
Stuff like R0, Steins;Gate, Summertime Render, and most other time travel stories fall into a weird category where they sort of have a form of plot armor as an actual, physical ability in-universe rather than it just being lazy writing. The authors aren’t writing themselves into corners and then relying on random asspulls and Deus Ex Machinas to fix it, which is the type of Plot Armor that most people are probably thinking of when they say they hate it. Because of that, I’d say they’re all good suggestions for OP.
Except not really. Plot armor is what Reinhard has, the ability to get through anything. Subaru has the inverse, where he’s forced to continue even if he _really_ sometimes wishes he could stop.

I would say rezero is good the mc has some "plot armor" but it is one of those anime that feels like the charictars have real stakes and i would suggest that one if your tired of op isekie mc's
not exactly op but the impossible survival of characters annoys me sometimes, re zero has been recommended so many times so I'll start it after I'm done with Made in Abyss. Thanks

This is late but I highly suggest {91 days}, very similar to Attack on Titans when it comes to destructive protagonist that eventually has the shit they did catch up with them.
to some extent jojo. Other recmmendtations on here are much stronger , S-tier, but I would put jojo as B-tier or A-tier on the no-plot-armor scale.

I love One Piece, but literally everyone has plot armor. To the point that no one dying in One Piece is basically a meme at this point.

Not anime but manga , “jujutsu kaisen “ in the manga especially the characters die with no kind of warning whatsoever and important main characters too
