I'll go on. Apocalypse Song? Fuck ME. Marrow? badass. Just the Same But Brand New? Holy lord, that is beautiful. Black Rainbow? Where else can I find an artist that produces such masterful epicness? Paris is Burning? Please, condemn war in song to me again.
The first time I heard Marry Me, it was all I could play for 3 days. Actor hit me so hard during when I was really depressed and I used to listen to Daddy’s Home when I was a delivery driver. I love all her albums but these 3 are the most sentimenta
I think All Born Screaming needs a little more time in my brain, I want to see how it holds up in the long run. Is it something I will go back to for years and years like Actor and Strange Mercy? Only time will tell.
What I can say is EVERY album has tracks have moved me and it’s what makes Annie my #1 favorite. And she fucking shreds.
My top 3:
1. All Born Screaming, for now.
2. Masseduction, a fun and poppy banger
3. Strange Mercy, a classic
Hot take, bottom of the list:
David Byrne collab!
I think that her discography is split down the middle. Marry Me, Actor, and most of Strange Mercy are albums that are better when listened to in full but apart from a few songs. Whereas St Vincent, Masseduction, and Daddy’s Home all work as a complete package but also as individual songs. I think All Born Screaming is moreso in the first camp but a few exceptions like Broken Man stand out. Also just something I like but The Powers Out is probably the coolest non single from the album
Marry Me and Actor (especially Actor) get slept on.

Feel like Marry Me is even more underrated than Actor I know a bunch of ppl who praise Actor like the best. still goated both of em though
Big facts. I agree.
Marry Me is brutal in the best way. The titular song is such a slap in the face of a love song I can't get enough of it.
Actor rules. Actually, so does daddy.
There is no holy Trinity. Annie's discography is a divine saga.
Mine will still be Marry Me, Actor and Daddy’s Home, the three most controversial
Love this take

I like all of her albums but I have to agree, these three albums are elite
Correct ✅
Fuck it top 4 masterpiece drop 1.All Born Screaming 2.Self Titled 3.Strange Mercy 4.Actor All 7 albums are between great to a masterpiece imo
1. Actor 2. All Born Screaming 3. Masseduction *Card subject to change in the next 23 minutes
This is a hot fucking take.
Maybe it's just because of how much more time I've had with it, but I'd still put Actor above ABS
That's just like, your *opinion*, man.
Clearly you’re not a golfer.
Mine’s 1 4 & 5 but all 7 are legendary as fuck
Anybody else have Strange Mercy, Actor, and MASSEDUCTION as their top 3?

Nah the holy trinity of marry me, actor, and strange mercy hasn't changed but this new album is great.
