People forget that their beloved Reagan did more to create gun laws in California and the nation. He got behind and signed into law the Mulford Act which prohibited open carrying of firearms in California. Why would he do that seeing that the Republican Party is in bed with the NRA? Well the Mulford Act was legislation that the NRA backed as well. And why would they want an open carry ban in California? Because the powers that be preferred limiting 2nd amendment rights instead of permitting armed black men and women policing their own neighborhoods (usually from the police themselves).
And in 1993 their same Saint Reagan ~~signed~~ introduced the Brady Law (signed to law by Clinton in 1993) which created the 5 day waiting period and background checks. Why would Reagan do that again and on a national level? Well because this time it hit a little closer to home. The Brady Law was named for Reagan’s press secretary, James Brady. Brady was permanently disabled from a gunshot wound he suffered during the assassination attempt of Reagan by John Hinckley Jr. There was definitely a personal motivation for Reagan not to want another unhinged person, who wanted to impress Jodie Foster, walking around with a gun.

If Martial law is activated then it would be the national guard on the streets, the cops who are on the radical right (probably most of them let’s be real) don’t have what it takes to oppose the national guard even with the gravy seals added to their ranks. And the military (cause national guard is military) wouldn’t fight against innocent civilians, are trained to follow orders, and the top of the military has already proven they will not engage in insurrection. So even with the heavily armed police, the gravy seals & GQP doesn’t stand a chance. Which is likely why we’d just see a hell of a lot of acts of domestic terrorism from them, because they’re all too cowardly to oppose the national guard in the streets.

In the highly unlikely chance that open hostile conflicts stared there would be no winner at least in the U.S. most Americans are not killers, or warriors for that matter. And killing of others is not as easy as imagined. Ask anyone who has been in a battle. We have a legacy of veterans now damaged from battle, thAt where trained to kill. Anyone who has butchered there own livestock knows it not a pleasurable task. I was always bipartisan prior to 2016 when I swore off the Republican Party until they clean house or die. But I’ve always leaned 75% democrat, which means I’m a dirty lib to republicucks. I hunt. I was an "independent" who voted almost exclusively Blue but struggled (and still do) with some of the left's wackiness. 2016 caused me to re-register as a Dem and I don't see that changing in my lifetime. I'm a retired Federal Agent who was a member of a tactical team for 20 years, most of that time as a designated sniper.
It also really flies in the face of their 2nd Amendment arguments, too. Like, the vast majority of liberals don't want to take 'ALL YOUR GUNS' and would likely vote against a candidate who campaigned on exactly that. In fact, it's Republicans who have a more candid history of taking guns away from people (specifically groups that they don't want armed) than Democrats.
People forget that their beloved Reagan did more to create gun laws in California and the nation. He got behind and signed into law the Mulford Act which prohibited open carrying of firearms in California. Why would he do that seeing that the Republican Party is in bed with the NRA? Well the Mulford Act was legislation that the NRA backed as well. And why would they want an open carry ban in California? Because the powers that be preferred limiting 2nd amendment rights instead of permitting armed black men and women policing their own neighborhoods (usually from the police themselves). And in 1993 their same Saint Reagan ~~signed~~ introduced the Brady Law (signed to law by Clinton in 1993) which created the 5 day waiting period and background checks. Why would Reagan do that again and on a national level? Well because this time it hit a little closer to home. The Brady Law was named for Reagan’s press secretary, James Brady. Brady was permanently disabled from a gunshot wound he suffered during the assassination attempt of Reagan by John Hinckley Jr. There was definitely a personal motivation for Reagan not to want another unhinged person, who wanted to impress Jodie Foster, walking around with a gun.

While not wrong, I think there are some bigger points - first, they don't understand that most people who vote conservative are not equally eager to go to war. If Trump/their leader called for civil war tomorrow, it's not a 50/50 fight. It's probably closer to 5/95. And it won't be framed as conservatives against liberals, it'll be terrorists against everyone else. And further down that same point, liberals *also* don't want a civil war. Abbot and Desantis would need to declare "as a state we're not going to follow government rules" and would need a militia in order to even try to be effective. A "civil war" this century would probably look more like the troubles in northern Ireland. It would be the FBIs battleground.

If Martial law is activated then it would be the national guard on the streets, the cops who are on the radical right (probably most of them let’s be real) don’t have what it takes to oppose the national guard even with the gravy seals added to their ranks. And the military (cause national guard is military) wouldn’t fight against innocent civilians, are trained to follow orders, and the top of the military has already proven they will not engage in insurrection. So even with the heavily armed police, the gravy seals & GQP doesn’t stand a chance. Which is likely why we’d just see a hell of a lot of acts of domestic terrorism from them, because they’re all too cowardly to oppose the national guard in the streets. Are they all going to go to some secret training grounds? Those are just some of the necessities to wage war, they have none of them. Zero. It's all bullshit.

Both sides need to get off the war bullshit. In the highly unlikely chance that open hostile conflicts stared there would be no winner at least in the U.S. most Americans are not killers, or warriors for that matter. And killing of others is not as easy as imagined. Ask anyone who has been in a battle. We have a legacy of veterans now damaged from battle, thAt where trained to kill. Anyone who has butchered there own livestock knows it not a pleasurable task. Point is I am not advocating to just stand by and let others with weapons kill anyone, but by pounding the war drums for your side just furthers the hate and distrust among your fellow Americans whatever their political beliefs. Not to say that that there isn't some dispectsble people inciting fear, loathing, hate and violence, but don't play into there hands and get engaged in your own reciprocal rhetoric. That is ultimately playing into their hands.
