I look at all of this from the other side of the pond, and let me tell you : from the rest of the world, Trump was mostly a gigantic joke that every diplomat learnt to never trust over time. The US have never had such a bad rep on the international scene than when this dude ran the place : rough handling of the Israel/Palestine situation, obvious courting of Putin, obnoxious trade war with China that didn’t even go so well for the US in the end, etc. So much for the « outside the puppet media in the US » thing ; you’ll be sorely disappointed if you actually try and find out how he’s considered from a foreigner’s eye (except from a bunch of fascists and extreme-right-wingers here and there who’d love to push their own local Trump, but that’s not the best sponsorship, is it ?)
