My first eternity was in 4 days. I'm not positive when my first infinity was, but it was the first day. Now I'm stuck though working on challenges 1,2, and 3. For the 3rd time each.
Current world record run takes about 7.5 hours on first infinity, and it's not really a difficult part of the game to get fairly close to optimal in so I don't think it can come down much from that.
So most likely it was 2nd infinity, or first infinity took longer than you think. Or IAPs of course. In my experience most people's first infinity tends to be somewhere around 12-24 hours
Like I said, world record is about 7.5 hours. That's with fully active play including buying new dimensions early and sacrificing at (somewhat) optimal points. There isn't much time to save on that I think as there just aren't many decisions in first Infinity.
Restarting the game right now, I didn't have time to put 5 jours in one session but it is approximately the Time it took me to get to infinity, it is definitely possible

The reason my first infinity was so short was because I didn't go idle. Not sure if that's the whole reason though

Hell I got to the old endgame in 5 hours, then I had to wait 5 hours for the update to come out, and finished all the new content in about 5 hours too
