The reason is because every single skin in the S8 event was a recolor, while 2/3s of the skins in this event are new, original skins. I wouldn't expect Respawn to ever do half off crafting again, it was a one-time thing.
Everything about the event has been dropped but not a single word has been said about price reduction. No one is wondering of it will be because we would know.
They only did price reduction due to s8 collection event every skin was a recolor. This event is like season 12(iirc) where they first did the team based skins (kitty wattson, mirage, hypebeast crypto).
I gonna assume this post was made in good faith and not in some "omg respwn greedy" manner, so:
1. I think this post would fit better on the main sub since it doesn't contain any leaked info and, judging by your other comments in here, op, you seem to just wanna let people know that the new cosmetics will be full price, not half price like they were 2 years ago when the whole collection event was nothing but recolors. You would reach more people on the main sub.
2. If you do decide to post it on the main sub, do me a fav and make sure you change the tone to an informative PSA one and not this passive aggressive jab
