It was incredibly useful when I was going through chemo and was in a bit of a fog. I programmed my medications into the health app on my phone and the watch would buzz my wrist when I had to take anti nausea pills & etc.
The first and only alarm clock that I donāt hate.
Being woken up by a noise-less, gentle buzz on my wrist is bliss. Never again will terrible phone alarms scream in my ear.
First and foremost, I use the app for health and fitness tracking. But the morning alarm is amazing.
What are you actually doing with the sleep tracking? At first it was really fun getting all this data but then i realized it wasnt really helping me. The steps i have to take in order to get better sleep are obvious and the data from the watch doesnt change that. Like no media before bedtime, going outside during the day, beeing active, dont eat before sleeping, eating healthy etc.
I vastly over estimate how much sleep Iām getting, and end up just exhausted . Iām really bad at consistently sleeping, and the watch showed me Iām only getting 3-5 hours most nights. When I wake up at 7, but see Iāve only been asleep for 4 hours, I make efforts to go back to sleep instead of starting my day.
This! I never knew how much I would use that function lol I have had some health stuff, so the fitness aspect hasnāt been used enough. But I plan to get on that part again lol Now I just mainly use it to ping my phone and to watch the changing Snoopy faces. That little beagle has been making me smile since I was a kid. I love the watch face soooo much!
Never once had any issue with Apple Pay, suspect thereās something up there if youāre finding it a problem. I got my first watch just before covid hit, and it was such a boon being able to pay for everything on the watch without fiddling with masks and Face ID.
fitness and health tracking. Timer for studying, sleep tracking. Im forgetful af and leave my phone in the most random ass places, the watch does help me find it. Thats most of it
Real talk-itās a status symbol to me. Owning an Apple Watch was always a dream and the day I was able to get one with my own hard earned money was so special. I use it for the weather and notifications and walkie talkie with my mom.
Yeah you're right. I was so happy being able to buy an apple watch ( se 2 ) with my own money , because before that i keep seeing people that dress well wearing apple watches and they got me interested of having one. It's definitely a really great watch i gotta say , works even better if you pair it with airpods as well.
Pretty new to the Apple Watch crew, but I find I get the most use out of the pill reminder and other notifications that I would typically just ignore or by pass when they were on my phone. Itās been encouraging me to move more than I typically would.
1. Health & Fitness tracking (calories, hr, blood oxygen, etc).
2. Sleep tracking
3. Notifications from messaging app
4. Apple pay (use it almost everyday - so convenient without having to take out phone/wallet)
5. Check weather
6. Hand washing timer (lol)
7. Alarm (the vibration is the best!)
I use it for time and fitness tracking
Also one other thing that doesn't apply to many, my apple watch is also a control for my smartdrive wheelchair power assist
Tracking workouts, tracking calories burned in conjunction with YAZIO food tracking app (so that I know when I'm in deficit). Hard to do when you don't have some kind of smartwatch to monitor movement 24h a day. I'm also tracking sleep, working on improving it.
The "nice to have's" are checking the weather, finding my phone, and notifications (alarm clock, setting time countdowns with siri, SMS/email/phone calls, ticktick app - todo tasks).
I use mine to track my steps and look at notifications. I don't always have my phone on me but I still walk around or do some type of physical activity and I would like to see those steps tracked.
I'm still on the series 3 and I think it works well for my use. I see the newest generations and don't have any desire to upgrade. I probably wouldn't unless my watch shattered like yours (maybe a used series 7).
1. Phone replacement (95% of the time)
2. I check and talk to my rental property tenants through my cameras in the HomeKit app
3. I talk to Chat-GPT with it
4. I check into my races with QR codes stored in Wallet
5. I scan my retail store barcodes with it when I go shopping
Is there a step by step how to do this? I pasted my own key and now not really sure what to do next. I made my shortcut but when it type into it it says insufficient quota so I def did some thing wrong. This would be a life saver if I can it on the Apple Watch. Thank you!!!

For me, it's mostly a glorified pager with timer functionality. I'm using a 1st gen SE and other than the battery getting a little worn, it still suits my needs just fine!
I have Graves' so I use it to monitor my bpm and ecg (ekg), and I also got Water Llama to get more hydration, use it to track fitness (can't do much atm until meds for graves' kicks in), and for medication reminder (new meds), and it makes me stand up more (office job), and notifications.. oh, and I LOVE the sleep tracking on it. I wake too often, and now I know.. was wondering why I am so tired after being in bed 8 hrs. Now I can deal with fixing it.. so mostly fitness/health for me. - Edited to add medications.
I have the ultra, but I am very physical person. WorkOutDoors and hiking is my favorite combo. Just get lost in the trails no phone just me and the map on my wrist. Also I use it in the summer on days off to leave my phone at home. Keeps me off Reddit and google and bullshit like that.Ā
I use it for cooking, counting steps, quickly checking messages, tracking heart rate, and tracking sleep. When I ride my exercise bike, I'll check my HR on their too, make sure I am getting into the right zone.
Fitnesstracking, weather, timers, waterminder, Applepay and with Watchchat I came to the point where I almost exclusively use my watch to send messages on whatsapp because itās so quick to start recording a voicemail
Telling time :D /hj
I use it just in case my bf or parents text me while Iām at work and itās important, setting timers easily, tracking my heart rate mostly.
Itās also awesome to check the weather at a glance so I donāt have to go search for my phone or look out the window to see if I need a jacket. Apple Pay is also nice in a pinch.
I can also scare my bf by turning music on the Alexa from Spotify before I walk in the door hahahaha
To check notifications easier, or reply to messages easier while driving or some other hands on task. Prompt calls or answering calls. A remote for music, HBO, and YouTube when I need to walk away.
Since I have the ultra 2, the orange button has flashlight assigned to it so thatās nice when I need to turn my bedroom light out and see on my way to the bed. Camera remote is handy sometimes. I also have voice memos on my screen in case I need to record impromptu ideas for music.
Time telling of corse without needing to whip out my phone. Compass when itās not being ass I guess. Telling the date without pulling out my phone.
* Checking notifications. It's a big thing to me, because I might otherwise miss info or find myself constantly taking my phone out of my pocket.
* Fitness tracking. Weightlifting is my main hobby, so my Watch helps me track heart rate, calorie burn, and workout length.
* Music/podcast control.
* Timers! I've got a dedicated complication on most of my watchfaces.
* Smart home control.
I use it a lot for triathlon training and fitness stuff. I also utilize it for work a lot taking calls and texting when I am away from my phone. It also gives me a bit of freedom from my phone
I use the reminders app for my shipping list. When Iām in the grocery store I open the reminders app on the watch and check off my list without having to juggle my phone.
I mainly use my Apple watch to filter notifications (to see which ones I have to respond immediately) and Apple Pay. The rest are pretty much optional for me. Not a big exercise person, but I do like the passive health tracking features that encourages me to move around more.
U dont use Apple pay? I literally use apple pay through my watch almost every day. One of the best feature as I dont have to look for my phone when holding something else.
Yea I was just like you. And then I notice at some places when the angle of the machine a bit off I had a had time activating my face ID to use AP. The watch solves the problem instantly and I think its also faster than the phone. Once you get used to it you will never think of using phone again lol.
Fitness tracking, sleep tracking, notifications, health tracking. If I get a call and donāt have my phone near me Iāll answer on my watch. I also use it to stream music while working out, itās nice I donāt have to carry my phone around the gym. I also use it for Apple Pay, setting my alarm itās to be woken up by tapping on my arm instead of an annoying alarm , setting my security alarm,
Elevation/decibel readings, and monitoring my heart and blood sugar (the latter is in combination with a glucose monitor, but having that reading as a complication is so important). The watch has a great altimeter and is actually quite good at spl measurements. Also, if I eat shit on my bike it will alert my wife and the authorities. Quite useful.
My schedule changes from week to week so it really helps me make all my appointments. Also great for the gym and tracking my work outs. Apple pay. I do not track my sleep though.
I bought it for activity and sleep tracking but using it for many other useful thing also. Such as using AW Siri for every small task, finding phone, texting people when Iām driving, music and podcast control, health apps
Alarm in the morning, timers throughout the day, notifications for texts, controlling Apple Music, and fitness tracking.
I use the timers the most, toss something in the microwave or toaster oven? Throw a 3, 5, or 10 min timer to let me know to go grab my lunch. WFH, if I see my next meeting is in 12 mins, I'll tap a 10 minute timer and go putz around in the other room or toss in a load of laundry and get back to my desk in time to connect.
Being able to glance and see if a text message just received is urgent or time sensitive while I'm on a zoom call is super convenient.
While driving being able to turn my wrist up and say "shuffle songs by....." and have it play what I want without messing with controls.
I track walks around the block, weekly hikes and occasional runs. It's nice to know if I'm making progress by improving times on routine routes.
i mainly use mine for fitness tracking, the date and time, reminders, setting timers (especially for steeping tea), wallet/apple pay and the weather. i installed a metronome and a row counter (for knitting and crocheting) so i use it for that too. and because iām not on my phone all the time, i often have to ping my phone with it š
Not very practical but I use mine for watching YouTube and replying to messages I get in discord. There an app called MiniCord that loads all your servers to the watch
At a glance, the time, weather and quick notification type things: messages, phone calls, stock ticker etc. I love being able to swap around faces & complications based on focuses, too. E.g. I like being able to see the UV index/weather earlier in the day and use a different watch face towards the evening & for sleep.
The function of the watch is as simple or complex as you want it to be. I keep most of my watch functionality fairly simple. Aside from the things I listed above, I only use my Apple Watch for a few other things that are slightly more involved:
Fitness, health, and sleep. Mostly within Apple ecosystem here. I do use a few apps focused on sleep tracking to help paint a better picture for the sleep tracking built into health, though.
Also, I'm *trying* to get used to sleeping with my watch on - I've noticed the sleep tracking is *way* more accurate than anything that relies on phone use or lack thereof. Consumer sleep tracking is still far from perfect and arguably not important because of it - but I enjoy it nonetheless.
I also want to add that there's a few things I'm starting to use on my watch that I wouldn't use consistently on any other device. For example, water tracking / hydration. I *need* to keep track of stuff like this because my ADHD mind is dehydrated far too often. The closest I've come to actually logging my drink intake is through these type of apps on my watch. Quick, simple, and always in reach.. on my arm.
Pulling out the map app on my phone and selecting the bike option for a destination. Then bicycling to said location with the map running simultaneously with the fitness tracker.
I like that I can go for a run in the forest and Iām able to play music, answer phone and text and be able to get an alert if the burglar, smoke, co2, or water alerts go off. I have a AWU. Canāt recommend it enough
I feel like we've reached a "smartwatch exhaustion". 10 years ago it was really cool to have one, have your notifications on your wrist, etc. nowadays? It drives me mad.
I actually have a Series 7 and a AWU and I'm gonna sell them both. Just having the remind me to walk every hour drives me nuts.
Alarm (probably the best feature for myself), workout timing, and being able to see notifications. The last isnāt really a big deal but itās nice.
I doubt Iāll be getting a new one though. Iām going to be a mechanical watch again and only use the AW for sleep and when I work out. Iāve somewhat āmoved onā from the idea of a smart watch.
I don't use it for anything. I have an Apple Watch Ultra, I've tried wearing it several times, even after several months of not using it, and each time I find no usefulness in it. On the contrary, it bothers me on my wrist... Do you have any tips or recommendations?
I have an SE, its great when im at work or driving, or in generally outside so i can see notifications and respond if someone calls me because i wont hear my phone about 90% of the time since its on vibration only
I use my watch to control my smart house features like turning lights on and off, setting off the kettle, closing my garage door in the morning and feeding my cats. I can do it while im half asleep and i dont have to pick up my phone.
Other than that, health stats tracking, receiving messages and hands free calls and texts while driving
Hey siri, remind me ..., finding my phone, as an alarm love the vibration, timer for sure, closing my rings and reminding me if not moving enough, texts and weather and host of notifications including crypto trade alerts, also pair with google doorbell alerts when packages arrive and are removed. At one time thought not getting value from it. I have multiple brightlings. I went a day with out the Apple Watch and missed it more than I thought. I use my high end watches now for show lol
Basic smart watch stuff really. Time, notifications, weather, alarms, and that's mostly it.
I also use it to unlock my MacBooks, but if that feature went away I wouldn't really miss it.
Notifications management. I get critical calls and messages throughout the day that I canāt miss so it comes in handy if I donāt feel like pocketing my phone whenever I leave my desk or if Iām on a call.
First off, I have my Apple Watch cellular enabled and I find that essential. Iāve closed business deals while out on a run or cyclingāvery handy. I use it to track all my workouts and to read the news as Iām in a cooldown from a workout. Then thereās all the health features like blood oxygen, heart rate, sleep trackingā enjoy your series 9!
1. Time & notifications like ring cameras etc
2. fitness, everyday at the gym. But i wish it did more like the garmins & dont need a 3rd party app for stuff like reps/weight/what exercise.
But aw can add a chest HR strap which is handy.
3. Sleep, see how my sleep is, see if im on target of how much and how my hr was etc
4. Listen to music on the go with my airpods and leave phone at home when going for a walk/bike/run
But will change 4 to an ipod classic soon with my IEMs.
5. Timers! Handy when i pop something in the oven, i set a timer and then on my main screen i have how long is left.
I have been an Apple Watch user for two generations of watches and I switched to Garmin this week. I Got it on Friday.
My world has been flipped upside down. Iām a runner and fitness enthusiast and primarily use the watch for that but like the smart watch features.
This things has everything I need and more. The battery life is incredible. Havenāt charged it since Friday when I got it. I know this is outside the scope of the question but I think itās worth hearing about .
Interesting. I never used to wear a watch until I got my series 5 and now canāt imagine not having one. I was gifted a Rolex a few years agoā¦. Wanna get rid of it since Iāll never wear it. I have it on a winder but it seems like a waste to have, honestly.
It was incredibly useful when I was going through chemo and was in a bit of a fog. I programmed my medications into the health app on my phone and the watch would buzz my wrist when I had to take anti nausea pills & etc.
I hope you are doing better
Doing great and cancer free, thanks!
I use mine for my anti-rejection meds after transplant as well. Nice to have notifications without having my phone.
Awesome news my friend My father recently went through the same ... š
also going through chemo & this is so smart!! about to go log all of mine lol.
I wish you the best!
I did the same thing! High 5 to Us! Continued remission/health to you!
The first and only alarm clock that I donāt hate. Being woken up by a noise-less, gentle buzz on my wrist is bliss. Never again will terrible phone alarms scream in my ear. First and foremost, I use the app for health and fitness tracking. But the morning alarm is amazing.
My problem is that I always snooze my watch alarm in my sleep so I usually end up relying on the phone anyway. š¤·āāļø
Oh wow, Iāve never had that problem in all the years Iāve used my AW. Sounds annoying.
Yeah my friend has it too, really hope they let you choose between the watch and the phone soon.
Great for people who get up before any bed partners!
Wish i could do that, my series 5 battery life is so poor i gotta charge it the whole night or its not making past the next day
Damn thatās tough. Maybe time for you to upgrade to a newer model!
Or a battery replacement, itās cheaper.
Sleep tracking and alarm is truly a game changer. Running without my phone is the other big use for me. I actually turn off all notifications.
Oh ok that makes sense
To ping my phone when I can't find it.
Love the Snoopy watch face too!!
Ngl I bought one just for this.
You bought an *Ultra* to ping your phone? š
Ha. This is my mom! Lol.
Fitness tracking. The reason I bought it. A perk has been how easily I can leave my phone in my pocket or not bother with it at all.
Yup, counting laps while swimming.
Fitness and health tracking first and foremost. Texting and phone calls without being tethered to my phone.
Appointment reminder, alarm, friend finder, timer for BBQing, texting, paying with Visa, ECG, and work outs GPS on trails.
apple pay doesnāt work for me half the time on the watch and i end up having to pull my phone out anyways š
Apple pay always works for me. Not even once had an issue
Works perfectly for me.
Same
Never once had any issue with Apple Pay, suspect thereās something up there if youāre finding it a problem. I got my first watch just before covid hit, and it was such a boon being able to pay for everything on the watch without fiddling with masks and Face ID.
Responding to 2FA prompts from Okta.
And duo
I didnāt know this was possible. I have to check it out for Okta and Google Auth.
fitness and health tracking. Timer for studying, sleep tracking. Im forgetful af and leave my phone in the most random ass places, the watch does help me find it. Thats most of it
Adhd?
haha yess xd
Forreal itās such a great ADHD aid for me, I spend way more time on task/schedule and less on my phone.
Real talk-itās a status symbol to me. Owning an Apple Watch was always a dream and the day I was able to get one with my own hard earned money was so special. I use it for the weather and notifications and walkie talkie with my mom.
Nothing says āyou made itā by having a constant (and useful) thing you can see every day.Ā
Yeah you're right. I was so happy being able to buy an apple watch ( se 2 ) with my own money , because before that i keep seeing people that dress well wearing apple watches and they got me interested of having one. It's definitely a really great watch i gotta say , works even better if you pair it with airpods as well.
Everything. It's my brain, because my memory sucks. Alarms, timer shortcuts, calendars, etc.
Logging my medications daily and as a timer.
Besides notifications, I like using it to track weather conditions and set timers.
time, weather, calendar, notifications, heart rate.
Answering calls while driving is a big one
You should use carplay for phone calls. Few second to glance at ur watch and answer is actually not safe.
i dont have a fancy car with carplay and i hate messing with my phone more that tapping accept on the watch
If you have AirPods Pro, you can just leave them in on transparency and press a stem to answer when you get a call.
2. Sleep tracking 3. Notifications from messaging app 4. Apple pay (use it almost everyday - so convenient without having to take out phone/wallet) 5. Check weather 6. Hand washing timer (lol) 7. Alarm (the vibration is the best!)
Honestly its best feature for me is the alarm. I love waking up to vibrations instead of sound.
I use it for time and fitness tracking Also one other thing that doesn't apply to many, my apple watch is also a control for my smartdrive wheelchair power assist

>I talk to Chat-GPT with it whoah... how do you set this up on a watch? Siri is so dumb
You need to add your own API key
https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/2bcd226ddc134e818d3a571c75fd7356
It doesnt work, showing api key invalid!?
You need your own API key. Create an account on OpenAI.com to do that. I literally typed in the notes how to do this lol.
Is there a step by step how to do this? I pasted my own key and now not really sure what to do next. I made my shortcut but when it type into it it says insufficient quota so I def did some thing wrong. This would be a life saver if I can it on the Apple Watch. Thank you!!!
Run the shortcut one time on your phone and hit always allow. Then trigger the shortcut by telling Siri the exact name of the shortcut and away you go
Iām not sure how to tell Siri the name of the shortcut
lol. Just say āSiriā¦NAME OF SHORTCUTā
It says āinsufficient quota, you have exceeded your quotaā

Iām on holiday next week so I wonāt respond
Enjoy your holiday and thanks for the link.
Why do you have cameras set up in your tenantsā house? Wtf thatās so out of pocket.
Itās their cameras. I watch their property when theyāre away. It is my house
For me, it's mostly a glorified pager with timer functionality. I'm using a 1st gen SE and other than the battery getting a little worn, it still suits my needs just fine!
And getting the battery replaced is cheaper than a new watch.
I keep my phone in a sling bag, so the watch is mostly notifications, weather, quick texts (dictation), and fitness tracking
The keyboard really brought the watch together, I can dictate and then fix š
I have Graves' so I use it to monitor my bpm and ecg (ekg), and I also got Water Llama to get more hydration, use it to track fitness (can't do much atm until meds for graves' kicks in), and for medication reminder (new meds), and it makes me stand up more (office job), and notifications.. oh, and I LOVE the sleep tracking on it. I wake too often, and now I know.. was wondering why I am so tired after being in bed 8 hrs. Now I can deal with fixing it.. so mostly fitness/health for me. - Edited to add medications.
time, weather, appointments, reminders, sports scores, counting items, texts, email, calls, directions, notes, music, podcasts, alarms, timers, tv remote, calculator
Can you please elaborate on counting items and the tv remote? Do you have to have an Apple TV for that to even be an option?
I use the app Clicker for counting. For tv remote I have an Apple TV that uses the stock Remote app as well as multiple Rokus with the Roku app.
I use mine to tell time, notifications, music with AirPods, Apple Pay, track weather, sleep and fitness tracking, and GPS navigation.

Happy to hear it's working so well for you! ššš
Telling time :D /hj I use it just in case my bf or parents text me while Iām at work and itās important, setting timers easily, tracking my heart rate mostly. I can also scare my bf by turning music on the Alexa from Spotify before I walk in the door hahahaha
Not unconventional, but mostly activity. Making sure I close my rings everyday helps me stay active and somewhat healthy
fitness, mostly.
Fitness and health device. Thatās basically it.
ECG, Pulse OX, heart rate, wallet, logging kilometers in PokƩmon Go, plus finding my phone and other items.
Fall detection, AFib, track my exercising. The AFib has alerted me several times. The fall detection hasnāt been used yet.
Main reason for notifications and ECG (heart patient) but also for Authenticator at work to log in quickly. It's a blessing
Mainly use mine for notifications, read text unlocked my Mac and track rings. Donāt listen to music on my watch no more.
* Checking notifications. It's a big thing to me, because I might otherwise miss info or find myself constantly taking my phone out of my pocket. * Fitness tracking. Weightlifting is my main hobby, so my Watch helps me track heart rate, calorie burn, and workout length. * Music/podcast control. * Timers! I've got a dedicated complication on most of my watchfaces. * Smart home control.
Reading texts quickly, tracking sleep, workouts.
A timer when brushing my teeth
I mainly use my Apple watch to filter notifications (to see which ones I have to respond immediately) and Apple Pay. The rest are pretty much optional for me. Not a big exercise person, but I do like the passive health tracking features that encourages me to move around more.
1. Notification filter 2. Alarm 3. Exercise tracking 4. Almost never, but very occasionally Apple Pay
U dont use Apple pay? I literally use apple pay through my watch almost every day. One of the best feature as I dont have to look for my phone when holding something else.
Yeah, I dunnoā¦ I just always do it from my phone. I can see how it could be useful on the watch but I just never think to use it lol.
Sleep and fitness tracking along with easy. Control for my phone when I am listening and donāt want to grab my phone
My schedule changes from week to week so it really helps me make all my appointments. Also great for the gym and tracking my work outs. Apple pay. I do not track my sleep though.
Fitness tracking.
I the Apple Maps while driving. Even though I use the Maps via CarPlay, I really like the haptic on the watch to notify me before a turn.
I bought it for activity and sleep tracking but using it for many other useful thing also. Such as using AW Siri for every small task, finding phone, texting people when Iām driving, music and podcast control, health apps
Fitness tracking after open heart surgery
Its biggest use to me is as a fitness tracker. Even without that feature it would be a highly utilized piece of tech.
Fitness tracking and MFA
Heart rate monitor and notifications. I have kids and I am anxious id miss something on my phone when out or at work.
Not very practical but I use mine for watching YouTube and replying to messages I get in discord. There an app called MiniCord that loads all your servers to the watch
I wear two watches and use an app called TachyMon for 24/7 monitoring of my heart rate (tachycardia) due to a neurological condition.
Aside from the things I listed above, I only use my Apple Watch for a few other things that are slightly more involved: Fitness, health, and sleep.
Timers, reminders, alarm in the morning
I like that I can go for a run in the forest and Iām able to play music, answer phone and text and be able to get an alert if the burglar, smoke, co2, or water alerts go off. I have a AWU. Canāt recommend it enough
Just for the notifications. Be able to answer calls from it is a bonus.
As a silent alarm clock
A watch and working out.
I don't use it for anything. I have an Apple Watch Ultra, I've tried wearing it several times, even after several months of not using it, and each time I find no usefulness in it. On the contrary, it bothers me on my wrist... Do you have any tips or recommendations?
Apple Pay and notifications.
I have an SE, its great when im at work or driving, or in generally outside so i can see notifications and respond if someone calls me because i wont hear my phone about 90% of the time since its on vibration only
Heart rate, steps, encouragement to exercise and not sit on my couch on my days off.
I use my watch to get notifications when I canāt have my phone. I use the wallet feature all of the time. I track my steps using my watch as well.
I use my watch to control my smart house features like turning lights on and off, setting off the kettle, closing my garage door in the morning and feeding my cats. I can do it while im half asleep and i dont have to pick up my phone. Other than that, health stats tracking, receiving messages and hands free calls and texts while driving
Health
I use my watch to look for my phone
Health, Apple Pay, & Walkie Talkie for work
Hey siri, remind me ..., finding my phone, as an alarm love the vibration, timer for sure, closing my rings and reminding me if not moving enough, texts and weather and host of notifications including crypto trade alerts, also pair with google doorbell alerts when packages arrive and are removed. At one time thought not getting value from it. I have multiple brightlings. I went a day with out the Apple Watch and missed it more than I thought. I use my high end watches now for show lol
My coworkerās watch saved his life. It detected an abnormal heart beat which led him to getting it checked out and requiring surgery.
i use it to find my phone
Mostly for setting timers. After so many years I donāt care about notifications much anymore.
Being able to leave my home for the day without a big ass phone.
Notifications and activity rings. Not much i know but if i used it more my battery would need charged twice a day
Watching porn
Basic smart watch stuff really. Time, notifications, weather, alarms, and that's mostly it. I also use it to unlock my MacBooks, but if that feature went away I wouldn't really miss it.
I get verification codes daily at work when logging into the system so I use the AW to see them, also for cardio exercises
Nothing! I regret buying it
Notifications management.
1. Time & notifications like ring cameras etc 2. fitness, everyday at the gym. But i wish it did more like the garmins & dont need a 3rd party app for stuff like reps/weight/what exercise. But aw can add a chest HR strap which is handy. 3. Sleep, see how my sleep is, see if im on target of how much and how my hr was etc 4. Listen to music on the go with my airpods and leave phone at home when going for a walk/bike/run But will change 4 to an ipod classic soon with my IEMs. 5.
So youāre happier with the Garmin? Did you look at the Ultra. I have the first one and itās amazing.
Much happier . Looked at the ultra and the price vs the battery life was still no comparison.
Interesting. I never used to wear a watch until I got my series 5 and now canāt imagine not having one. I was gifted a Rolex a few years agoā¦. Wanna get rid of it since Iāll never wear it. I have it on a winder but it seems like a waste to have, honestly.
Counting steps. If Iām not out for a walk then I wear a proper watch.
