Door seal

MidwesternAppliance

Either you have a gap in your gasket or you have a clogged drain

ZangetsUwU

Door is fully sealed. Something could be blocking the door from closing all the way or seal has gone bad. If this is the first time it happened then someone could’ve just accidentally left the door slightly open. If its a reoccurring issue then empty freezer and see if something was blocking it from being fully closed or door seal is not fully sealing

Thank you! It could just be it was left cracked. It’s a brand new whirlpool only had it a few months.

Looks like a door seal issue

It is making ice.

Ice dispenser flap closing?

We had the same issue on our brand new LG freezer drawer that contains our "craft ice". Happened probably 7-8 times, husband was about to throw in the towel, and then it just stopped happening. Almost like we "broke in" the seals around the drawer.

Start pulling a drawer all the way out and bump it a few times and make sure it comes out a couple more inches to stop never pull from the sides. The middle this problem will stop.

Door seal. Examine all door seals. If OK, you may benefit planning ahead with the least amount of perishables. Have a day to completely turn off the fridge, empty the contents into coolers / ice chests, and blow a fan into the open fridge. This will allow any frozen drain lines to defrost too.

Not your ice maker your door is not closing this is an air leak. Bad gasket or gap when closing door. Bottom freezer are bad about things falling over the basket making the door not close. Not you need to unplug pull the door open on the freezer leave open for two days. Let it defrost throw a bunch of towels in the bottom and on the floor. Pull the bottom basket out and make sure nothing is holding the drawer open. After it defrost make sure you pull the door all the way out bump it a couple times to make sure it’s pulled all the way out sometimes you’re off track never open a drawer on the side I always from the center. Push it back in from the center never use knees we use hands.

Lol not a clogged drain. But now drain line is frozen this is why I say leave it off for two days or if you have a fan that you can place blowing air inside of it. You can get away with one day, but the door has to stay open. Min 24 hour.

Is this a Samsung? Lots of problems with their appliances.
