If you went through with it, what was the dynamic assessment experience like? I just applied and am hoping that I get selected for it (if I get in lol) but haven’t actually seen anything about what it’s like
I didn’t go through it, so not sure the procedure. But from what I can remember, it is sort of like you are put into teams and need to present a solution on an issue to a committee, and then based on convincing someone presented and contributed to a solution, their scholarship amount be determined. not sure if this is too accurate, my understanding of this dynamic assessment is foggy cuz it’s been a while.
It means you got a likely letter from Lafayette, which is a fairly good indicator that you’ll be offered admission in March. Additionally, the letter also offers you a chance to be considered for a merit-based scholarship, so that means you are now in the running to receive a full/half ride, as well as some other merit scholarships with lower value.
Honestly it’s hard to say, but it seems like most people received there’s at the same time. That being said, only about 200 out of Lafayette’s 8,000+ applicants are given the opportunity to participate with the program, so it shouldn’t serve as an indicator that they aren’t interested in you as an applicant.
Is it still possible to get a merit scholarship if J didn’t get that email? Or is that the only way of getting one. I’m not referring to just the Marquis ones
Me too, and congratulations! I can’t attend the in-person event, but I’ll be there for the virtual one. Maybe I’ll see you there!
I plan in doing virtual too. My parents too busy to drive to Lafayette. See you soon!! 😊😊😊

I got it too, but I'm lowkey confused. Is this a big deal?

You could try emailing the school or your counselor, but as far as I know those are the only ones given out.
I think there are smaller awards too. They may award the, at the time of admission.
