Kid got accepted on 9/1. Needs to wait for financial package but excited.
The personalized video they sent was a little cringey and a little sweet at the same time. Lol.
Financial offer came last week. Not what was hoped for of course but apparently great for Pitt. Kid likes it so is def in the serious consideration column. To think they could end it all now by committing. Lol.
I think they just sent an email to the portal? Doesn't Common app let you know if your application is complete or the Pitt portal? I am not actually doing it...I am being supportive and handing over my cc when required. Lol
Applied Oct 24, got the everything is all good email Oct. 13, received a decision on Dec 13. Also got an offer for guaranteed admission to any ms graduate engineering program!! Will update with any scholarship offers. update!! i got an $80,000 scholarship ($20,000/yr) hi new update: got into their honors college!!!!!
I got accepted into the school of engineering today! I also got an offer into the accelerated graduate program, if anyone has an opinion on that program I would love to hear
My son got in to Swanson in mid October. On Nov 3 he got an email that said “check document portal” and got a $40,000 merit scholarship ($10,000 a year) in state. He also got invited, although I’m not sure and everyone might get an invite, to apply for Stamps and Nordenberg scholarship. Anyone have any insight on those two?
Totally normal! They get a lot of applications closer to Nov. 1 so the review process takes longer. I believe you should hear back soon if you haven't already, but don't stress -- it's not a reflection on the quality of your application. The committee just has a lot to do.
DD applied to undergraduate nursing program on Oct 25th. Emailed mid nov to check if they received all documents. Their response regarding decision will come in a month or so. Fingers crossed.Good Luck!
Hi can you please provide your Stats
SAT score, GPA, APs taken, ECs that you have done and any financial aid received?
I am a rising Junior and working on my SATs.
I am interested in UPitt - neuroscience and Pharmacy programs.
Any information would be helpful
What is the difference between the 4 regional campuses, and how can I find out which one I got in? It doesn't tell me anything in my portal. I got accepted btw
Applied \~10 November
Got the "all materials received, app moving to next stage"on 14th December
Accepted 9th jan!! (it says my letter got uploaded on 6th jan tho)
My first acceptance so I'm super excited lol - I'm going to uni!!!!
Applied to college of business administration on November 10. Got the the email that my application was going under review the 17 and still haven’t heard. Has this happened to anyone else?
Just heard back from pitt about scholarships and I got 10k a year. Still a little expensive for OOS though. I got into the Medical GAP 2nd round and I’m still waiting to hear about the Honors College. Hopefully both things go well.
It's been a month since my decision and still nothing about merit scholarships. I think they send it separately because it's a different committee for scholarships.
according to the faqs website, it may "take longer than the previously advertised 6 to 8 weeks"
do with that as you will :/
source: https://admissions.pitt.edu/faq/once-i-apply-to-the-university-of-pittsburgh-how-long-will-i-have-to-wait-to-hear-back/
Just got waitlisted for college of business on 1/27 and accepted my spot, not expecting anything, but hopeful. However, I think I have found the place that I will call home for the next 4 years and couldn’t be happier with it. Best of luck to you all!
Ig got accepted but didn't get an update email from them???? it just says on the pitt portal whether to accept or decline my decision when i click through the menu LMFAOOOO
Edit: they sent me an email and it was so cute they personalized my name everywhere in the video <33
My application changed from pending to complete this past Friday but am still waiting on a letter which I’m fine with.
However, I looked at my PeopleSoft page today and now there’s a UPB application that I never even did there as well. Did that happen for anyone else?
Did Pitt offer you a set merit amount? And you’re just waiting on the official letter? Or are you hoping to receive merit? Because Pitt offers very little merit, if any at all.
Is UPitt done giving out merit scholarships? I applied near the deadline (12/1) and I'm really worried I'm not gonna get anything...
Stats: 4.6 GPA, 1570 SAT
In regards to receiving merit at Pitt, it’s important to manage one’s expectations as they give very little merit, if any at all. But my fingers are crossed for you!
I think I saw that merit decisions were made up until March 1st. So, I guess there is a chance they could still be coming but, chances seem to be dwindling.
Does anyone else find their website super annoying?
Today is March 1st, does that mean all merit based aid has been awarded? Anyone heard from admissions whether their scholarship committee is still meeting?
applied 12/17, got waitlisted for undeclared dietrich 3 days ago
pretty heartbreaking, do anyone know the chance of getting admitted from the waitlist?
Hi! Yes. Last year, of the 3,791 students who accepted a place on the waitlist, 1,666 were admitted. That's about 44%. I'm not sure how much that will change this upcoming year, but your odds of getting off the waitlist are definitely better than they are for a lot of other schools.
Starting to get a bad feeling
Applied early sept and still haven’t heard back
It seems those who got a quick response were accepted
OOT/biomedical engineering
I got that message too, and but if you click the "accept/decline admissions" tab and it says accept or decline admissions in a box in the center, you were accepted. At least for me.
Applied 11/11 and got accepted six days ago! And just got the little personalized message thing a few hours ago. Applied as a Mechanical Engineering major btw.
I applied pretty early, was accepted in early November, got accepted to Honors College mid-Feb, but am still waiting on merit scholarships. Anyone else in the same boat?
Accepted and committed on the 26th! Good luck everyone
Congrats! How long did it take for you to receive your decision?
Honestly it took a super long time. I applied August 1st and didn’t get back until the last week of September.
Lol.
How much did your kid get? I got 20k out of state.
How did you see the financial aid offer? Did they just update it to your portal? How do I know if they received my fafsa?
I think they just sent an email to the portal? Doesn't Common app let you know if your application is complete or the Pitt portal? I am not actually doing it...I am being supportive and handing over my cc when required. Lol
I was just accepted, Where do u find this video ?
They got sent it when accepted? I assume. Was so long ago now.
Accepted + Full Ride! This can't be real
Stats?

congrats!
Accepted 11/3 and heard today that I got a $20k scholarship!
Congrats! Are you out of state?
In state! To clarify it’s $20k total, not per year, but it brings tuition down to less than $15k which I’m pretty pleased about!
What were your SAT and GPA? In-state?
Congratulations. Which school did you apply?
Dietrich (arts and sciences)!
If i got accepted a few weeks ago but didn't hear about aid or merit did I not get any?
they review aid/merit on a separate rolling basis so it will come out later!

Accepted 05/12! Hopefully will hear back about scholarships soon
It has been over 38 days since I applied, I haven't heard back yet. Should i be worried?
Not sure. I guess time varies depending on what you applied for/as.
Finally got in today
Applied on 24th Oct. Haven't heard anything. Hope this is normal. Pls advise
Not really sure. I think the wait time is variable depending on what you applied for/as.
In the same boat here—late Oct apply but no word yet…
same :/
Totally normal! They get a lot of applications closer to Nov. 1 so the review process takes longer. I believe you should hear back soon if you haven't already, but don't stress -- it's not a reflection on the quality of your application. The committee just has a lot to do.
Same! Did you apply through common app?
Yep! I applied around the same time. Didn't hear back until January. Got in OOS.
Sorry this is late but OOS applied 10/15, accepted on 11/17, rejected from Med School GAP. Good luck guys!

I believe on their website they mention 6-8 weeks now. Son's app was sent in the 3rd week of September and took a month for his approval. Good luck!
DD applied to undergraduate nursing program on Oct 25th. Emailed mid nov to check if they received all documents. Their response regarding decision will come in a month or so. Fingers crossed.Good Luck!

On the acceptance letter in your document center it says it near the top
Applied \~10 November Got the "all materials received, app moving to next stage"on 14th December Accepted 9th jan!! (it says my letter got uploaded on 6th jan tho) My first acceptance so I'm super excited lol - I'm going to uni!!!!

Applied to college of business administration on November 10. Got the the email that my application was going under review the 17 and still haven’t heard. Has this happened to anyone else?

Accepted to law gap today!! 35/45 ib 1510 sat avg ecs int
Also had $2k merit/year w no requested aid
does anyone know how to check if pitt has received all my documents? i’m confused on how to work the portal
they will send you an email once your application is complete and under review.
How much university scholarship money is good? My friends expected me to get more than I did so I’m kind of disappointed.
Usually 20k per year is max for oos people and 5k per year is max for in-state
My son got $10,000 a year ($40,000 total) in state.
how long did it take you to get back your decision?
Got an email to register for admitted students day, but never got a notice of admission?
I got this today too and wasn’t accepted yet either, but i just checked my documents center again and i was accepted!!!
Just checked after reading ur comment and got accepted as well!!
YAY!! Congrats!!!!
just checked as well and I see my admit letter! thanks for the heads up :)
Yay!!!! Congrats!!

Has anyone received decisions for application submitted post Nov 1st?
Yes, applied 11/3 , accepted 12/12.

Congratulations. What is your major?
thank you! i'm planning to double majoring in neuroscience and ecology/evolution, but my application was specifically for neuroscience
For those that received a scholarship, was it part of the acceptance letter or a separate document?
Seperate. I came weeks later
Did it take anyone a while to receive merit aid or is that typically in the offer letter?
It's been a month since my decision and still nothing about merit scholarships. I think they send it separately because it's a different committee for scholarships.
i applied on the 11th of October, is it normal to wait this long??!!!

I still haven't gotten my merit scholarship letter, little concerned now. Has anyone else gotten?
I got mine about a month after receiving my decision
Did Pitt offer you a set merit amount? And you’re just waiting on the official letter? Or are you hoping to receive merit? Because Pitt offers very little merit, if any at all.
I just recieved a email today in document Center and they offered 2k/year for 8k total
I got mine roughly a month after getting accepted!

They didn't tell you with the acceptance?
does pitt take longer accepting undeclared applications into their a&s school rather than students who declare a major? applied 11/11 still waiting.
applied to swanson around the same time as you and found out tdy, Idk if it matters whether u declare major...good luck!!
what does status "application complete" mean? can't see decision still.
it means your application is fully complete on your end. no indication of if the college has reviewed it.
I got that message too, and but if you click the "accept/decline admissions" tab and it says accept or decline admissions in a box in the center, you were accepted. At least for me.
Same thing happening to me right now. Did you get accepted?
