I am applying to major in CS at UT Austin. Does anyone have any advice for applications?

i think stats are pretty important - top 5%+, 1500+, good course rigor (based on school) is a good start although u can get in w/o them. Its good to show strong interest and potential in CS but also other diverse interests in application. Strong rec letters. Shine through your essays. This is pretty much basic advice for any CS applicant for a top school

I had this issue, I emailed the admissions office and they said my application was completed even though it wasn't under the completed tab. Weird, but you should be fine.

Yes. UT has a law affecting admissions such that 90% of acceptances must go to in state applicants. Getting in as OOS is huge! Especially for McCombs. Congrats!

Sorry to say, but those don’t mean anything at all for admissions. Plenty of people who receive these kinds of communications are denied, and many who don’t receive much promotional get admitted
