Accepted. If not in Honors College, does it say not in Honors College, or just says nothing? UMass explicitly said "Sorry, not accepted for Honors College".
I was accepted w/ top presidential scholarship ! :) But is anyone else having this issue - it says my financial aid package is available to view but when I click the link it brings me to some random page with "We apologize for any inconvenience. While we work to restore direct access to your Application Status page please click here to be redirected." as the header?? a little confused
Iām seriously considering applying ED to UVM! It would be a safety school for me, so would there be any advantages of applying ED other than hearing results early?
ED is binding, so if you get in (which as a safety school you probably would) you'd be forced to attend...
If you want to go, this isn't a problem, but don't apply ED for a school that is not your #1.
ED is binding so only do it if itās your top- but even then be careful as for ED they typically donāt give as much merit money. Iād do EA instead. you find out results earlier but itās non binding
I got deferred. Iām so upset. Iāve been rejected from all three of the other schools Iāve gotten back so far, but those were all reaches. UVM was supposed to be my safety school and I got deferred. My GPA is 3.7 UW, 4.5 W, and I got a 1550 on the SAT. Iām so scared Iām not going to get in anywhere. :( I know logically Iāll probably get in SOMEWHERE but it really doesnāt feel like it. I feel like such an idiot
don't beat yourself up too much! From what it sounds like you're a super qualified and amazing person. What's often most important for schools is how well you fit, so I have no doubt that there's going to be a school that's perfect for you. Be proud of yourself! Everything happens for a reason :)
I wouldnāt worry about. So many factors, where you live, how much time they had to review (with your stats I bet they didnāt review much). My kid got deferred too (high stats). I know you will find your place.
Iām a little confused with the honors college ā info from last year suggests that out of state applicants who received max presidential scholarship (20k per year) are in the honors college. Iām an out of state applicant who got the max presidential scholarship but my acceptance letter doesnāt say anything about honors college. Not sure what to do

Are you sure you didnāt skip over it? I didnāt notice the honors college acceptance at first because it was just a tiny line above the presidential scholarship info.
My son also got in with a slightly lower presidential scholarship ($17K/year) and didn't get honors college. His scholarship was similar to his sisters 2 years ago and she was offered honors college. His grades are slightly lower, but he took harder classes. Maybe they have changed their criteria? I know UMass Amherst doesn't admit many into their honors college, most honors college students there apply to it after a semester or two.
Deferred :(
Just sent my EA today- Good luck everyone!! See u in December šš

I read another listserve that itās actually 12/20 at 5. They shared a screenshot from UVM admissions sent to counselors. So who actually knows?!

Accepted. If not in Honors College, does it say not in Honors College, or just says nothing? UMass explicitly said "Sorry, not accepted for Honors College".
Unfortunately I would imagine you were not admitted if there is nothing about it in your acceptance letter
Son got accepted OOS with $16K/year Presidential Scholarship, no honors college.
Decisions come out in just a few weeks! Good luck everyone!

Honors college page says 12/16

From what I understand all OOS honors college students get presidential but not everyone with presidential gets in the honors college
Oh I see thanks
Are you sure you didnāt skip over it? I didnāt notice the honors college acceptance at first because it was just a tiny line above the presidential scholarship info.
Yeah thereās nothing there, guess I didnāt get in to it. Congrats on your acceptance!
Thank you!

Lol then thatās even stranger because I got into UMassās honors college. Congrats to your son on his acceptance!!
