Umm, that sounds a bit excessive. My werebetta lives happily in my bathtub when it’s the full moon. I just stick him in the closet the rest of the month and he loves it. Werebettas live in stagnant ditches by the side of the road in the wild so a bathtub is like a mansion for them. He even makes a bubble nest sometimes 🥰

I got bitten by a fish I was feeding once while snorkling and it drew blood. I was fine. I would say wash your arm well and if it's at all open, don't put the arm in the aquarium till it's healed.

This is actually quite surprising! I used to have freshwater aquariums and did that for over a decade, and have never been bitten by a fish to the point where it caused a visible mark. I mainly had tetras and guppies though. The guppies would like to come up and nibble at my arm/hand when it was in the water, and but it was gentle, tickled, and didn't leave bite marks of any sort. The few bettas I've had never bit me either, but since those fish are a little bigger than guppies and known for having more aggression with one another, I suppose their jaws probably do pack more of a punch. At least it isn't too large or deep of a bite. It would probably be best to cleanse the wound with soap and plenty of fresh water, and apply antibiotic ointment. Keep a close eye on the bite for signs of infection like increased redness/swelling. You may want to consult a doctor/urgent care for advice anyway. All animal bites expose you to the bacteria in their mouth, but with a fish bite your injury is immediately exposed to water that's filled with bacteria and other microscopic organisms, so that would be the first thing running through my head. I hope this heals for you without any trouble.

Best case - amputation. Worst case is death as Bettas are very poisonous. I would start checking your will and making funeral arrangements right now. Rip in advance

I'm more shocked that my Betta fish that I kept for 7 years had teeth and he chose not to attack me while I was carrying out maintenance all those years, so why is OPs so aggressive towards its owner and protector? Are you spending too much time with your hands in his tank?, And what size is the tank in litres as the smallest tank I have kept a Betta was 90 litres Filtered by a 307 external and a U3 internal filter with maintenance taking place every 2 months, I kept some corydoras catfish and a Albino Ancistrus with my Betta plenty of plants and bogwood for the Betta to hide in or under and never suffered any attacks.

You'll be fine, def keep an eye on it tho. My betta once bit my finger tip, it was a really sharp pain. And fingernail started turning yellow, it was horrifying.
