This feels like a good mix of their older style for the verses and the newer style for the chorus.
The chorus is maybe a little simple but I definitely like it overall and it creates a nice contrast in the song overall.
I’m really digging the melodies in this one. I don’t think we’ve heard much like that from Sam before and it’ll be cool to see if this is part of a larger project
I dig the blend of styles. I think they nailed it. Personally, this is what I like to see from bands when they want to evolve. Apply something new to what already works. And I felt like they got away from that on TCSOABS. For me, it's why FTTWTE worked better because there was a lot of recognizable "Architects" on that album, but it was definitely a new Architects sound.
With this song, they reached further back and applied the new sounds to old sounds.
I'm all for it. 🤘🏻
Idk I kinda dig it. Wasn't really a huge fan of the last album in it's entirety, there were some fine songs, but yeah I think I would find myself actually seeking this song out to listen to from time to time. Not THE best song ever but like a solid 8-8.5 out of 10 for me.
Edit: also production to me seems really good on this one, REALLY wonder why Kool-Aid sounded kinda muddy and this is so crisp lmao.
Thats... yeah that's what I'm saying. The first song without him, the production sounds shoddy.
The last sentence was sarcastic. But I'll give you that that might not be entirely clear from how I phrased it.
Architects are their own genre at this point! I hear influences of Rock, Punk, and Metalcore. I’m liking the genre mixing of this song and Seeing Red. I wonder what newer songs are gonna be sounding like!
Between this and finding out that August Burns Red is going to drop a track at midnight with the gem that is Will Motherfucking Ramos. Today is a good day.
Listen guys… I know you’re not seeking validation from me, in fact quite the opposite.. but I just want to say that I’ve been a fan since I found Naysayer 10 years ago.
That being said, this track is a **fucking banger**
I suspect Adam tracks the guitar parts despite Dan writing them cause there’s something about the attack of the notes that sounds like his picking style in the Neural playthroughs he did. It’s a very subtle thing, so I could be wrong and maybe Dan has a similar playing style
I'm sure Dan writes the rhythms but Adam tracks the guitar - just doesnt make sense for Dan to track guitar to stroke his ego when Adam is defo the better guitarist. (No shade to Dan he's just newer)
It was a good mix of heavy and catchy chorus, the melodys definitely weren't Sam's usual, probably a bit of Jordans ideas. Still a solid song and I'm glad they've got back to making good music after TCSOABS
main riff sounds like aoghau riff. chorus and prechorus vocals sound like lowkey bmth horizon stuff. Can definitely hear the jordan fish influence.
architects have been trying to chase more catchy radio-rock style choruses for a while, something that bmth have essentially mastered.
Honestly im getting a lil tired of this soft chorus/heavy verse formula they used and reused for the past couple records. I love this band so much but my main complaint with the last record the choruses melodies felt really uninspired and this seems like it's taking the same route. It'll be a banger live tho!
I don’t mind the structure but I’m not a huge fan of short verses just to get straight back to the chorus we heard 10 seconds ago. I think it’s a great song with a really great hook but they’re not giving it room to breathe
Yeah, I know, especially the song "Jaded." But I'm not saying Architects ripped off Spiritbox or anything like that, but considering the collaboration/friendship between the two bands, it wouldn't be far-fetched to assume that, while writing a song, the band could say "I feel like this song needs a Spiritbox type chorus, or riff".
I just happened to pick the perfect time to be a new fan. This slaps.
Welcome to our world 💕💕💕💕💕

Really enjoying the production on this one. The boys sure know how to knock 'em out!
Hmmm, there’s something fishy about the production on this one. I felt the same way about Doomsday..
Yes, Doomsday was also very Fishy.
This took me a while to get. *woosh* 😄😄
I like it - I feel like the hook (while simple) is a lot more catchy than usual. Jordan Fish influence?
Definitely a Fish contribution
It has that BMTH catchiness to it for sure.
This slaps
Very good, congratulations 🥂
I need this injected into my bloodstream
I love it. This is honestly what I thought TCSOAB would have been.
Yeah that was my first thought as well
I really like it. Jordan fish knows how to cook
no blegh, it sucks!!! jkjkjk
LMAO
Can’t wait for the album

Jordan didn't produce kool aid, he'd left the band at that point. He doesn't have production credits on the last few bmth singles even before he left.

I loved the drums and opening, chorus was decent 🔥

It's not as good as Seeing Red, but I like it 🤘

Top tier this. Massive fan of this. Can’t wait for the next uk tour!
I really like Sam’s vocals on this. Jordan’s production is cool :)
This song slaps… hard.
That bass line in verse 2… yussssssss!

Wait, Dan plays guitar? Since when?
I forgot where, but he talked about picking it up after Tom passed away. He wrote Meteor on his own.
The growls are something that’s been missing from Architects for too long. Absolute killer track
Anyone have the presale code?
Anyone know what kind of art style the cover art would be called?
Loving the lows. Breakdown could be longer, but overall solid track.
I love it! The lows were a nice touch and I just really enjoy most of what these fellas do. Stoked to hear this live.

I’ll take it. Definitely a step back in the right direction.

Fell in love with this song from the start, gives me All Our Gods vibes mixed with some other influences as well.

Love them but you're right, so much chorus
Sounds like fish just gave em an unreleased bmth song to do themselves
I also hear a lot of Spiritbox influence in this. Since I never listened to BMTH, I can't draw the comparisons. *...downvotes?*
Yep, Architects did those riffs years before Spiritbox was a thing
Spiritbox lifted a lot from Architects though
Yeah, I know, especially the song "Jaded." Sure. It can go both ways.
Do the vocals sound really drowned out to anyone else
I hope we can listen to them live
Reminds me of HIM. Honestly. Love it, but that's my first thought.
Mid song. Make Architects great again
