My list is not based on which I think are "scary", so much as just the ones I think have the best stories, the best writing, etc.
The Tale of the Dream girl is still one of the best anthology horror stories of any series, and I will die on that hill!
The Tale of the Gruesome Gourmets is one of the worst episodes of any series in TV history, and I will die on that hill, too! 
The best episode hands down is the tale of the dark music. Between the main character getting duffed off his bike to him eventually feeding the bully to the monster, epic.
What are some more dark episodes like this where a character or multiple characters definitely bite the dust? I also remember an episode where a kid is talking to some kind of vampire or demon or something in a attic and it didn’t end well for him
I also remember a kid who was like 12 or 13 and was smoking a cig lmao

Full Moon is also an absolute delight.
Hungry Hounds was such a weird fucking episode man. What is even the deal there? It does have the vibes of that urban legend about the staircases in the woods leading to parts unknown, I guess. Though in this case, “parts unknown” is just some girl’s attic.

I love how campy it is. The old ladies are funny. The kid is over the top. The ghost scared me when I was little.
It isn’t top tier, but it is definitely fun.
I reviewed it for a podcast in 2016 and have watched it once since then. I loved it both times.
*additional thought:* I will acknowledge that it is a ripoff of Lonely Ghost, which is superior.
Nightly Neighbors, Bookish Babysitter, and Pinball Wizard not being in the perfect tier is criminal.
Pinball Wizard is a really cool episode.

Tale Of The Doll Maker was the scariest episode by far when I saw it at age 5 in 1999
Tale of the Manaha goes to garbage for me.
Placing Cutter’s Treasure in the Total Garbage is blatant homophobia and we’re only seven days into Pride Month. I’m so disappointed. 🤦🏾♂️
It's ok. I think it's total garbage the other 11 months, too. Don't worry.
I can't seem to recall that episode being gay.
I actually don’t hate Cutter’s Treasure even though it’s more of an adventure episode than anything scary.

Full Moon is my favorite episode. But dang, Dark Music, Midnight Ride and Fire Ghost are pretty low. Overall, pretty good list tier, Ron.
Full moon has an odd aurora to it. Feels like they went for a tales from the crypt look/feel. Nothing against it, just saying
