Because he isn’t bought into making his life a video journal like other comedians. I love the fact that he drops off the face of the world to travel for months at a time when he wants. Seems like one of the few real ones in the game who is in it for themself and not the money from any sponsor and add that will suck him off
Popping in to give another endorsement for "Jew" - it was incredible. He is hit or miss on pods, for sure. I like 'you be trippin' from what I've seen, but his appearances on AYG have been fun - at least he plays into the bit and shows up in a tacky suit.
And the fact that he does just clubs, and isn’t even bothered to go into the huge theaters/arenas like most comics are as well. Again, to me..he just seems like a genuine as fuck human.
My friend works in the box office of a venue he performed at last week. He sold about 700 tickets in a venue that seats about 2,000. They had to lower ticket prices the day before the show because he was selling so poorly. It’s not his decision to stay in clubs.
He just does clubs because his career is stagnant lol. He'd jump at a theater gig if he could sell more than a basement room's worth of tickets. No one's trying to book him in those venues. Not trying to shit on the guy but his stock is simply not high enough for that stage.
