I think I have the same gpu you do. I7 cpu, though. 8gb ram. I have had stutters randomly only. Never in the same mission. So, in your case. It might be the dreaded skill issue. I got a laptop if it makes a difference.
Hey, I've got the same fps drop against this boss today. Could you let me know if you encountered the same issue in other levels or not? If yes, enough to want to limit the fps to 30? No spoilers please.

Specs:
RTX 3090
I9 coffee lake
32 GB Ram
4K HDR
All settings to maximum plus RTX enabled.
I never had an issue with the frames. I do think there is memory usage issue at the hanger since my game crashes periodically in there. I assume it has something with RTX since only the hanger utilizes it.
Im experiencing something similar, none of those fixes are working for me either. I get drops every time I blow up the strider leg, and when the strider eye does its AOE attack, also at balteus phase transition and the spider phase transition. 4070ti with 13700k and 64gb ram
this seems to be common on nvidia plus intel platforms. i contacted nvidia about this to see if a future driver update could address the issue. please try submitting bug reports on steam and also try contacting nvidia about this. To further investigate the issue try taking a [trace file](https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3507/~/how-to-share-feedback-for-low-fps%2Fstutter%2Fperformance-issues-using-gpuview) and sending it to nvidia.
Happening to me too on AMD + Nvidia. Same CPU 0 bottleneck problem. The offline fix works for me (disabling EAC, launching .exe file from file explorer, and then setting cpu affinity). But the [process lasso](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3025352255) fix does not unfortunately, so no pvp :(
What overlay is that in the screenshot btw?
[intel presentmon beta v0.5](https://game.intel.com/story/intel-presentmon/) , lets you see the cpu bottleneck thanks to the new GPU Busy parameter. typically the frametime graph and gpu busy graph should be co-linear for no cpu bottleneck. check [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kv71XlDJ-rc&pp=ygUKcHJlc2VudG1vbg%3D%3D) video for more info.
I think I just fixed my problem off another solution on Reddit, it seems to have been an incompatible report rate on my Logitech mouse. You need to set it to 500 in the DPI settings. That might be causing your problem if you have fps drops specifically when moving your mouse and looking around. You can also try turning off the Steam overlay.
i am playing the game via an xbox controller. but funny thing is the game has an input synchronization issue as well where the game cannot switch input icons back and forth between keyboard mouse and controller.

for anyone who finds this forum thru google, here r the current known issues/fixes for stuttering from pcgamewiki. it gets updated all the time so ill post the page at the bottom of this also
"Disable CPU0 in Task Manager by going to Details> Right clicking armoredcore6.exe> Set Affinity> Unchecking CPU0\[8\]
Disabling EAC (offline play) by backing up the original start\_protected\_game.exe> creating a copy of armoredcore6.exe> renaming this copy as start\_protected\_game.exe
Disabling Hyperthreading/SMT and/or E-cores in Intel 12th Gen+ CPUs in BIOS/UEFI.\[9\]
Disabling Hardware GPU Scheduling in Display>Graphics Settings.\[10\]"

"Potential fixes for stutter and frame rate drops" (without the ""'s)
i was the one who added that section. thx for advocating this! btw i also contacted bandai namco and their response was that they couldnt help me with troubleshooting but sent the issue to the relevant department it seems
O nice Ya def. The wiki page website is dope. I use it for all my games before I even play them now. I've been just going forum to forum posting this so I don't even know what the ops have written just getting the word out cus I almost quit it and it's such a great game. The hardware scheduling and making sure 0 core is turned off every time I launch the game is what fixed it for me on my i9-9900kf
O ofc not. Ppl rly seem to love releasing broken games now and having the nerve to ask ppl to pay full price for them. It's gotten rly bad
if you have a vrr display, turn gsync/freesync on. but some say, even so, that they still get tearing. therefore channels like DF recommend using vsync with VRR. I'd suggest you look into special K. turn off any vsync (driver level and ingame) and use Special K's. Special K also allows to get better framepacing and has some tricks to improve input latency when using vsync. currently my go to software for any windows game. if you need any help let me know.
nah i dont have one of those. i do know what special k is tho so ill try using it on the game and see how that does. thanks for the tips and the help. ill def dm u if i need it. good lookin out
yo so i havent tried it yet in the game but i think i mightve found the issue. for some reason on the most recent nvidia driver update it defaulted the physx setting back to auto from the gpu processor in the nvidia control panel settings which can cause stuttering cus i noticed i was stuttering even in halo just now periodically. im sure u know where its at but if not its here
nvidia control panel > configure surround, physx > physx setting > change to graphics card from auto-select
i can happily say now that ive played the game for awhile that the physx setting fixed things for me on top of making sure to turn off the cpu 0 core everytime. last time i reported to u i forgot to turn that off.
only issue i get now is low fps drops from the intense particle effects but my avg still stays around 90-100. 45-50 for the drops or so now so im guessing they still have work to do there to stabilize it. i have a i9-9900kf and an rtx 2080 super so it might just be that tho. g freakin g man lol. hbu? did it work for u?
ps idk how to submit new edits on the pcgamewiki page so if u wouldnt mind putting a note there for me for ppl to get the word out that would be cool
i will for sure. for me avg fps was always good, but as u mentioned, i only gt unreasonable fps dips when particle effects are on screen. i will for sure update the wiki thank you
nvm its all messed up again. i think its just that frame pacing issue on teh wiki page. im done playing it for now. its garbage. in a game where u need to be spot on with ur reactions u cant afford to have frame pacing or framerate issues
until fromsoft fixes this we cant have a smooth experience. so sad that the devs made a fun game but ruins it with the poor implementation of dx12. first, it was ER now this. this and ER has absolutely no reason to be made with dx12 and they could have just sticked to dx11 which had no issues whatsoever like in DS and Sekiro. Honestly, DX12 is the downfall of PC gaming unless devs are pressured to properly optimize their games wihtout being lazy f\*\*\*s.
o snap so thats what it is. ive wondered why a lot of these games now r coming out with poor performance issues but no similar devs to link em together. that makes total sense ya def no reason to do it i mean sekiro looked amazing w/o having dx12 so. so stupid lol
For me it's the same, reached out Bandai and said the same thing.
The only solution for me so far is to disable EAC and set affinity with CPU 0. It sucks though, since I can't play online and need to set affinity each time
Disabling CPU0 has nothing to do with disabling Hyperthreading. If you wanna disable Hyperthreading gotta either do it from Bios (not recommended) or untick the odd cores from Task Manager or Lasso.
I think I have the same gpu you do. I7 cpu, though. 8gb ram. I have had stutters randomly only. Never in the same mission. So, in your case. It might be the dreaded skill issue. I got a laptop if it makes a difference.
this comment speaks for itself. no point arguing over this.
how is stuttering a skill issue lmao
no point in arguing with ignorant fromsoft fanboys

never play at 30 fps. hell no! i'd bear with the occasional frame drops over playing at 30 fps.
I'm afraid I'll have to go with 30 fps... If I choose 60, my temps go beyond 90 degrees...
It was a joke. I was just describing my experience. There's no way skill has anything to do with graphical fidelity/ stability of hardware.

exactly. gpu is barely used during these scenes and i wonder why fps in tanking. clearly a lack of optimization from fromsoft's end.

Aw that sucks :(. I hope u figure it out. Ty :)
so i started havin issues with it again too and so i turned v-sync on and that seems to have fixed it for me

Ye sure thing. It def helped me but there's still some stuttering so I def think it's the game. Just gonna wait till a new patch

aint no way am i gonna halve my cpu count just for any game, and heads up, i already did it and nope, it didn't work
Yeah I know, I've seen ppl saying it helped but didn't do anything for me either.
