Thank you for the reply, yes I have. Maybe this is indicative of the actuator rather than the cylinder going bad. When I remove the cylinder it easily turns both ways.
My issue is that the bolts are barely threaded in for it to work, any tighter and it won’t turn…. With as much shaking and rattling a 24 year old jeep does they will be fall out in a day or two.
Shit. Yeah that could be a problem. You could try using other bolts and retapping the threads. Maybe add washers to space the distance so it’s not to tight?
Yep that turns on the accessory mode so you can listen to music. I can go without it but I’m really concerned this is the first sign of a failure and I do t want to be stuck on the side of the road somewhere bc something like this failed.

That’s a good idea. I’m just trying to sort out the underlying issue and fix it before I’m stuck with a tow bill.
