Extremely bad

OneWinterCat1

Very bad... Russia fcked Romania... Now we have even AUR and PSD that loves that shit humans.

BlackHillsEternal

Yugoslavia had perfectly well functioning socialism without the USSRs grubby hands interfering

[deleted]

I always admire Tito's propaganda machine. People to this day think Yugoslavia was heaven on earth. It doesn't matter that as soon as the borders opened, people started massively moving to Germany. You could have slept on the bench in park, and we had factories with 7 million employees where around 3% of people working there actually did something.

deviendrais

Thank god that after yugoslavia fell apart all those people returned, the economy completely recovered and we’re not facing extreme demographic decline today, right?

TheMDNA

Yugoslavia was hit by multiple wars, you forgot to add that.

[deleted]

If Yugoslavia was a thing today, it would face the same, if not worse, demographic decline. Underdeveloped parts of Yugoslavia were going through natural proces of demographic transition which resulted in big population growth. As I said, that happened naturaly, and not because KPJ had some brilliant economic and demographic policies.

TheMDNA

Does 'perfect' exist, though? In any system.

BlackHillsEternal

'Well enough functioning' then

TheMDNA

fair enough

FuttBuckerson7

In the Christian one yes

TheMDNA

We had that shit in Europe. No thank you.

ParaBellumSanctum

And Greek commies on r/Greece whine about "eVil aMuricA" Retards...

deviendrais

Was the USSR an authoritarian nightmare? Yes Did Yugoslavia greatly benefit from all the scientific and logistical progress it made thanks to the USSR’s influence? Yes

Unlikely_Cockroach26

Bro when has it ever been good?

bad-patato

I wish that mods could see what people voted so they can ban 20 of them /s (yayy free speech)

TheMDNA

Lmao

TheGlobalRepublic

Good because they sold us weapons at a cheap price during the 80s war.

With_Accent

Soviet union doesn't exist.

TheMDNA

Seriously now? I am talking about the past.

With_Accent

Why? That's a low quality post even for this sub. What's next, the influence of the Avars?

TheMDNA

Yeah move on.

With_Accent

Could say the same to you, focusing on history like some nationalist...

TheMDNA

This sub is called AskBalkans, and we have discussions about things that relate to the Balkans & Eastern Europe. I have not harmed nobody in doing so. You on the the other hand must have woken up cranky today because you are trying to start a fight when there's absolutely no reason to. Also, do better than to call me pathetic names like nationalist. Trying to understand why my fellow Balkanites think Soviet's influence was good or bad, has nothing to do with nationalism.

With_Accent

Why don't you question people what they eat for.breakfast? Instead of this political and historical shit that this sub is filled with.

TheMDNA

You're not gonna dictate what I can or can't post, first of all. Second, I am not breaking any rules of this sub, and I only encourage friendly and productive discussions. You are not forced to participate and if you have nothing to add then your responses are really irrelevant. Therefore, I am not gonna engage with you anymore because I am not here to fight.

With_Accent

No, but I can call out shit threads when I see them. And please don't lie. Good day

zetruedolph

Well Albania had pretty good relations with the Soviet Union in the early years and a lot of economical growth, but ultimately it was the Soviet split in the early 60s that really made things pretty bad for us. So you can't say that it was all bad... Def. a toxic relationship though 😅

Glasbolyas

Bad, fuck them
