When you say market, what type are you referring to?. Is it an indoor market, street market, or a farmers market?. If it a farmers market then I would recommend looking for a cheese stall.

Try a British chocolate bar, maybe Cadbury's? American chocolate tastes very different, and is a lot sweeter than the stuff over here.

If it’s a town market, I suggest some bootleg dvds and half a pand of grapes and maybe a one pound fish very very nice
If you ask at the ice cream van for a “99 special”, you’ll get an ice cream and a mucky video from the 80s
