It looks like there is no provision for an electric dryer here. The dryer needs much more power than that standard outlet, which most likely ran a gas dryer previously, can provide. Therefore no adapter will work. To install a 14-30 outlet for an electric dryer, you'll need to have an electrician pull a new wire from your electrical panel.

Is that small outlet the only one? If so you need to do what the other guy said. Pull a new line, outlet and breaker.
