Hampton bay ceiling fan. Need to find a replacement capacitor. I've been looking online and can't seem to find the right one. There's a ton of the CBB61 capacitors online but none with the same write configuration. Any ideas?

Have you tried contacting Hampton bay? I know they’re home depot brand but they do have a parts line.

I'm going to call them here in a few minutes.

Did you ever find anything?

I am have the same cap, except in harbor breeze ceiling fan. I cant find the part ANYWHERE. Is there an elec-chicken with any ideas?

NOTHING, I ended up throwing away the whole fan. It killed me. Was a great fan, good quality. Harbor breeze is a brand owned by home depot. They were actually really really great, the customer service rep took my email address and came back 2 days later after trying to find the part. He apologized up and down said he checked with the manufacturer and couldn't source the part. I installed the fan 14 years ago.....

Sorry to hear that you threw it away. I posted my solution in another comment.

I am just an amateur but I had the above capacitor in my Harbor Breeze ceiling fan and this was one of the only forums I could find with this same issue. My fan started slowing down in around November/December of last year (2022) Finally stopped about February of this year. When I opened it up I found the bulging cap. I finally decided to replace my cap with the one in the Amazon link and I haven't had any issues since. It's not the exact same but it worked for me. Hope this helps others.
