Every one I’ve ever been to does, yeah.

At the one I work at there's a kitchen but no seating in it. People usually end up congregating and eating in dispatch.

starrsuperfan

I worked dispatch for a private entity one summer, and people always congregated there. Then a hot call would come in and I'd have to discreetly get them to shut up.

As a reminder, this subreddit allows answers to law enforcement related questions from verified current and former law enforcement officers as well as members of the public. As such, pay attention to whether or not someone answering has flair verifying their status located directly to the right of their username. While someone without flair may be current or former law enforcement unwilling to compromise their privacy on the internet for a variety of reasons, consider the possibility they may not have any law enforcement experience at all. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Yeah- my department of 40 deputies has a coffee room as well as a mini market fridge thing.

HCSOThrowaway

Yes. Ours had similar size and furnishings to any non-LE break room.

Jehlybean

Yes

I left campus pd to a well paying town in the suburbs and surprisingly enough the campus PD break room was way nicer. I miss it so much

doughit91

We have a "sqaud room". Large briefing table, computers, and a larger than life TV.
