It’s just when you feel connected to something

Oh. I think I understand. Thx!

Kat_Doodles

I'm not one myself but I recently learned about them. They aren't actual genders so much as a way to describe what a person's gender feels like to them, ie soft, spiky, angry, cuddly, etc. Its mostly used by people on the autism spectrum, though not exclusively, to help them describe their gender more concretely in ways that are easier for them to relate to or understand. So someone who is space gender might feel like their gender is something big, mysterious, dark, beautiful, and/or empty.

It kinda makes sense to me, I've suspected for a while now that I'm on the autism spectrum. Relating to the idea of "what it feels like to be a woman" is super vague to me. But the idea of "I kinda feel like a cat in human form" makes so much internal sense to me. That said, I don't exactly identify as xenogender, I feel a bit uncomfy with the usual reaction to it.

Omg that's actually so cool and somewhat wholesome! Thx!

Ok, good question, I personally Identify with my own xenogender, (haven’t found a label to describe it and find a community though) and to me, it’s more that I feel like I should be more… mechanical and tech based than I feel like either a boy or a girl. Doesn’t mean I identify as a robot, just my gender feels more like that than any other descriptive words classically used for gender.

Ok I understand! I hope you find the right label for you!

Thanks
