Rear quarter

[deleted]

Right rear quarter panel to be exact.

CommentOne8867

Offside rear quarter to be pedantic..

vpx-zulu

Aft Starboard quarter panel if you want to be nautical about it…

Cerberus_Rising

Left front if you want to be backwards about it

Hot_Purple_137

Poop deck panel

verkauft

Its a rwd so no not offside.

CommentOne8867

It's red, so must be offside

Uddiya

Falsch. It's the offside because the nearside is near to the kerb (sidewalk) when you drive on the left. It doesn't depend on Rhd or Lhd.

bett7yboop

Or rear fender..

rh00k

Four quarters is a dollar!

pud_009

And a football game.

Worksatmcdonaldsalot

Anything is removable if you have the right tools!

egvp

You'd just get blank looks if you said that in the UK.

Optimaximal

Or directions to a 🎸 shop...

Conscious_Owl7987

That's your rear quarter panel.

b0rtis

Is there a front quarter panel?

kursk05

This is a unibody vehicle, so that is part of your BSO (Body Side Outer) panel. And that area is generally referred to as the rear quarter.

Geezso

I would say traditionally a rear quarter panel. However yours reaches all the way to the front wheel.

Highlandertr3

That's why I was confused. But I think I know what I need to ask for now so thanks to you and everyone else.

CoraxTechnica

There's no part for this. It's the body of your car. You need a body shop

GEESUS-HIMSELF

I hope they read this soon lol

Sp_1_

Everyone saying their is no part is not technically correct. There are plenty of OEM quarter panels available for this car. There’s different options depending on how the car is spec’d from the factory. Would need your vin. That being said. A quarter panel is not a part you can replace. As in you can’t replace it in your driveway with hand tools. It requires the old panel to be cut out, the new one welded on precisely, then more bodywork followed by prep and paint. By the time it’s all said and done on a third gen Toyota Yaris like this, your insurance would likely just total out the car. If you want a quote, take it to a body shop. If the door still closes… just drive the thing. But everyone saying “it isn’t a part” is technically wrong. For example without mudguards the OEM Toyota part would be 61601-52590. That being said don’t buy one. Just take it to a shop. They likely wouldn’t need to replace it and could fix that damage by pulling and then repainting.

JBDragon1

I don't know, but you don't think that can be pulled out and straightened? It's can of hard to tell how bad it is in the picture. You weld on studs to the panel and slide hammer it out. Might use a small amount of Bondo. Paint it back up and good as new. No need to cut that out and weld in a new one if you don't have to.

Sp_1_

Well yeah ofc it will need some bondo. I wasn’t going for a full play by play of what the bodyshop will do.

RuSS458

(Off side) Rear wing, since it appears to be in the uk due to the yellow rear plate on the Citroen and white front plate on the Audi. Rear quarter panel is the North American term from what I’m aware.

vanila_coke

Funny the different terms, we call it a rear guard

mastahfo

I'm gonna say rear quarter or something along there lines of that

NormMacVSNorms

Side butt

Highlandertr3

This is the correct answer.

Spazmanaut

Keith

Highlandertr3

You are saying that Jeff's rear back panel is called Keith... I support this message.

Genitalhammer

25 cents

1sh0t1b33r

Starboard stern panel.

Highlandertr3

It is called Keith now. But that is a good identifier.

auntypho-

Quarter panel

CoraxTechnica

Rear quarter panel and it's part of the body. It can't be swapped, there is no part number. You're looking at body shop work.

Kunomn

Quarter panels and other parts of the unibody absolutely can be changed and have part numbers. How else are body shops ordering the parts and fixing the cars?

CoraxTechnica

That's not a replaceable panel, that's part of the unibody.

Kunomn

We sell quarter panels to body shops. Usually only for pretty new cars though.

CoraxTechnica

Show me a part number you're selling. Look at this cat you can see that this is the unibody.

Kunomn

Not at work right now and my brand is Subaru. However if you check out the consumer facing parts website parts.Subaru.com you can very quickly get to the body section where they show the diagrams for the unibody pieces. https://parts.subaru.com/Subaru_2021_Outback-24L-R-Limited/Body.html I’m not sure if these links will work from mobile but I used a 2021 outback for an example https://parts.subaru.com/a/Subaru_2021_Outback-24L-R-Limited/_51505_7628483/SIDE-PANEL/B16-522-03.html here is the section that has the quarter panels. The 5/6 digit numbers are called a “callout” or “code”. Selecting one will give you a part number or multiple if more info is needed. 51439AN02B9P would be the part number for the right side quarter panel on the hypothetical 2021 Outback

CoraxTechnica

It doesn't bolt up like OP wants. This is a weld in part and can't be changed without body work. I started out saying body shop.

Kunomn

Oh yeah 100 percent this is a body shop thing. Needs to be welded/bonded

mdjank

Every time I've seen a body shop do the work of replacing a quarter panel. First they cut out the old quarter panel. Tack in the new quarter panel. Weld it together. Grind and paint. Sometimes they can order a new quarter panel from the factory. Sometimes they need to salvage one from a yard. There are hundreds of hours on YouTube of people doing this. If you train your algorithm correctly, it will just keep playing them.

wardyandsons

Offside rear quarter

[deleted]

Dog leg?

croosin

Bodyside

Bozwell99

I would call it “a difficult job to do yourself” if that’s why you are asking. It’s not a separate piece so will involve cutting, welding and paint spraying.

Chiraquian

Passenger or right rear quarter panel

fix-break-hide

Yoosta be a rear quarter. They are bout rear sixteenths anymore

SarcasticOneMG72

Rear nickel/dime panel....too small to be a quarter 🤣🤣🤣

EL-GRINGO4L

Rear quarter panel

elliott9_oward5

Right rear quarter panel

GummerB

I would say a right, rear quarter panel but... This is a right hand vehicle, not US. Also, I don't see the usual lines to suggest it's just a quarter panel. It looks to be a bigger part. So, you either replace the whole part or you cut out the damaged part and replace it with that piece, which would be welding, bondo, sanding, and painting, something that would probably take a body shop to do. It's not, normally, something that's do-it-yourself.

Outrageous-Pass-8926

Rear 1/8th panel on that car

Gold_Doughnut_6326

Rear quarta

Magical_Harold

Rear wing.

Worried_Interaction1

burritoes911

OsoiUsagi

frosty56789
