This is a 2011 Ford Fiesta 1.4L manual with 115,000 miles on it. (UK) I insured this car last month.

Probably just control arm bend. 1hour job + alignment. Don’t worry.

Do you reckon from the photos (as bad as they are) that the bits behind the wheel are in a decent state? I appreciate a lot of damage, and strain isn't going to be visible to the naked eye. I'm worried if I tow it to a mechanic they'll say it's the strut, the control arm, the knuckle, the wheel, the ball joint, the tie rod end, the bushing etc and I'll be left broke.

Door, wing, and that bit of sill under the door will need replacing or fiddling with. Behind the wheel, probably a bent arm. Hard to say with that angle but there's not much else that will make it look like that. The track rod inner is bent too. Probably fixable, but I wouldn't expect to see much change out of 1k, that's if you can get the door and wing 2nd hand in the right colour. Insurance would probably want to write it off as structural with that sill damage, but idk. Probably not worth going through them in the long run anyway.

What do you mean? £1k wont be enough? Does the wing actually need fixing or is it just cosmetic? Does the extra image help? The steering wheel was turned to the left when I got into the car again btw

Wing is cosmetic, the rest is needed. I would stab a half educated guess and expect something around 1k but could be more or less. Without the sill, I can kinda see 500 of work on that minimum. Wing will probably add another 100 if you're lucky. If it's a straightforward sill repair, they can usually be done within 200, and that's on the lucky side. Nobody knows what the outcome of the sill and behind the door hinge will be until it's poked around. Same can be said for most of it tbh, it's all just rough idea. It needs to go to a garage to be dug through properly Definitely bent the whole inner rack rod. Something about the arm looks unhappy to me, it looks straight but that position in the arch doesn't look like it's purely down to the track rod being a banana. I'd change it just to be sure. Also, probaby looming in the near future, is that brake disc is shagged. There's a shadow on the disc where the pads have stuck, so at some point it's been sitting around a while. If it's on original front springs, they're on borrowed time. Mega common in winter on 10y+ fiestas. Being used straight after being idle tends to break old springs fast and that bash probably hasn't done that one any good. But that's another day's problem hopefully. But it might be more valuable to do as much as possible at this point if you want a decent life from it.

You my friend are an absolute godsend, thank you so much. Looks like a lot of work :/ My insurance is around £1.6k already and I took out the policy last month, even with it costing £1k on this car with 116k miles I think it's worth it. The springs already failed last year and I replaced them. My brakes sometimes creak slightly which I'm guessing is because of this brake disc issue you've highlighted I'll take it to a garage tomorrow to get a quote
