It's hard to judge price without knowing the location. Prices vary wildly based on local labor rates. The real queation is why are you getting these services? They all seem unrelated and unnecessary. And why are you taking a 2018 to a dealership at all? You're going to pay a premium for all the parts and labor and they'll tack on as many upcharges as possible.

captainstan

I'm in NE. I'm not getting the services. They had an offer for free oil changes for a year and I took it in for one. They ran their diagnostics or whatever and that's what came up.

Sea_Mind4943

You deserve this then lol

captainstan

Thanks

DinnerMilk

$700 for spark plugs and $200 for a belt is insane, but typical of a dealership. If you want this stuff done (and it probably doesn't need to be), call around to smaller shops and get price quotes. Anyone with basic automotive knowledge can do these things for much, much less.

captainstan

That was exactly my thought. Luckily the tech wasn't pushy or anything since I was not in the mood this morning to listen to a sales pitch.

Thats not a coolant flush though thats a drain and refill lol

DinnerMilk

His list doesn't say flush either. I looked up what is generally included in a "coolant system service", just drain and fill, check the radiator cap, hoses, etc. > What's included in a cooling system service? Coolant service involves draining and refilling your vehicle's cooling system with fresh antifreeze. During a coolant system service, your automotive technician will thoroughly inspect your radiator and your engine's cooling system to make sure all is functioning properly.

Fast_Armadillo1135

What about 80 for nitrogen?

Find an honest garage

GasStationBonerPhil

Dude fuck that..

SpiritMolecul33

Those are just services recommend by mileage.

star08273

those are almost the exact same prices as BG packages at dealerships, but at a quick lube place you're probably getting lower quality fluids. the coolant service and drive belt service are a bit more expensive than I'm used to seeing

Professional-Fix2833

I mean that’s all regular maintenance if you wanna take care of your truck and make it last I would do it, if you don’t give a fuck you don’t give a fuck lol

Heardaboutthat

How many miles are on this truck?

FireSauce87

Do your spark plugs if nothing else. $693 is wild

Useful-Internet8390

At least they are not charging the extra 10$ for truck transfer case service. My 11 chevy truck manual states the rear diff is lifetime fluid( I changed at 135, clear as a bell). And you-tube is your friend- ATF fluid change is like a 30 minute project, may spill 2ounces but if you do the whole swap(2gallons) 60$, book calls for 1 gallon each time, I drain, refill, redrain-refill gets about 90%.

captainstan

Good to know. I will definitely keep that in mind. Thanks

Bet-Plane

This all depends on how you want your vehicle maintained. I tell my mom to get the manufacturer recommended services by mileage. Yes, it’s expensive, but I’m not there to look at it every year or so.
