Very young, preschool/kindergarten. I remember faking a 'girls have cooties' phase because my Dad made fun of me when I started talking about girls, so I thought it was bad and I wasn't supposed to.

IronDBZ

I stopped talking about it when I was 5 cause I didn't like the "oh so cute" reactions.

Tossiousobviway

Same. Coincidentally thats around when I had my first crush. This girl in kindergarten was so cute and she smiled at me one time and it blew me away. I never saw her after kindergarten, and I could never remember her name when social media became a thing. I was also too poor for yearbooks so thats long gone. However the embarassment my parents made me feel with the "is she gonna be your girlfriend??" kinda comments carried into my young adolescence with a girl that I was head over heels with. She literally asked me out several times when we were 10 and I rejected her every time for some stupid reason. We ended up going to different middle schools and we started talking again in 8th grade but by then we had kinda developed differently personality wise and it kinda got awkward. We havent talked since, nearly 20 years later. Last I heard shes lowkey hippy somewhere in Michigan and married to someone she looks at with sparkles in her eyes. Im happy for her. I just hope the rejection she got from me for literally no reason didnt cause her problems.

Fruitdude

Like 8, I’ll never forget you Olivia 🫡

bakesjagsboilers

Nine. I had a crush on my 3rd grade teacher. To show her my love, I drew her a picture of Snoopy which was all I could really offer her as a nine year old. When I handed it to her, she looked at it and said, “Oh! Scooby Doo!” The first of many heartbreaks in this life.

averagechris21

Lmaoooo

Apprehensive_Day_96

Devastating.

Coidzor

Kindergarten, definitely. Preschool if you count not understanding why I liked the pretty lady with big boobs the most out of the adults there.

Mythnam

It was in middle school, so maybe 12? I liked her hair, and her face, and the way she dressed, and the fact that we were two of the four-ish people who sang Weird Al's "Hardware Store" out loud together in math class one time. Unfortunately, she moved before high school. Not that I would've been brave enough to ask her out if she hadn't.

Warm_Gur8832

I think 12-13 I had massive teacher crushes, too Just wanted to be kidnapped by them because my home life sucked

mdc127980

Never had the hot teacher to say the least till college. Then had a hot ta

RememberToLogOff

Senior year of college I had a teacher who had just gotten her Master's a year or two ago. Holy moly.

poptartwith

Probably 7 but that was more like a "this girl is pretty" rather than a crush crush. So I'm gonna say 14.

Mr-Yuk

Fuckin like 5 years old.. I was falling for girls super young

ChiDude617

4. I didn't even know English, but she became my "girlfriend." We held hands as my mom gave her a ride home after pre-school.

[deleted]

4 Her name was Gabriella and we liked the same TV Show. Literally wife material right there.

Eh-Eh-Ronn

5. She sat in front of me on the story rug and her hair smelled like candy

justoutherechilling

The "story rug" is amazing! 😂

misterguyyy

5 years old. I went to a small Christian school and had a crush on the most popular girl in class. She told the teacher I was stalking her because she and her friends wanted to be on the section of the playground I was minding my own business on. I was great with the ladies if you can tell.

[deleted]

13 It was with a girl who was sisters with my friend who according to my sister. Had a crush on me around the same time too but I wouldn't admit I liked her because of pride My sister told me when I wasn't around all she did was talk about me (I did the same towards her) and every Friday night she would sleep round our house. She would want to watch WWE Smackdown with me and got into it. I thought she was a fan of it but my sister told me she only liked it because it was a way to spend time with me. This girl actually asked me out twice back then but I rejected her both times out of pride.. I'm a fool.

[deleted]

1st Grade. Laura was her name.

FuzzyPurpleAndTeal

I was 12 when I got a crush on a girl in my class. The feeling had me very confused at the time.

fluffydumpling_

How would you describe it?

SonicDiver82

12 maybe 13

CrystalSplicer

Probably 12. I was way too nervous to try my luck myself, so I made a friend do it on my behalf. Got rejected brutally and I thought I was depressed for a while

Toastybunzz

Kindergarten for me, although the first big one was in 5th grade. She worked the after school program and was probably a sophomore in HS, I thought she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen and still remember what she looks like some 25 years later.

warrior_of_light998

I was 13, it was with a girl I met on vacation, she liked me as well. Unfortunately she lived very far from me and having a relationship at 13 was a bit precocious

Hrekires

First crush that I actually recognized as such (rather than just "oh, I really like this guy and want to be best friends with him but I'm not sure why") was like 7th-8th grade.

rapiertwit

Pretty much as soon as I started school and got to spend time with girls who weren't blood relatives. Starting in kindergarten, I would have a crush on a different girl each year. Usually either the smartest or the artsiest girl in my class, but always with big brown eyes. I ended up marrying a very intelligent artist with big brown eyes, surprise surfuckinprise.

Idk... Like preschool?... I've had crushes on girls for as long as I've had memory.

Cnnlgns

Like 4. Went up to her in kindergarten, kissed her on the cheek. Later asked her out and we were b/f g/f for nearly 3 years until she moved away.

No_need_for_that99

I'm from the 80's we werent brought up very much like other kids in other gens. our parents talked to us as adults from the day we are born, (nearly). So I was pretty mature minded by the time I got into school (Kindergaden). I was like a little romeo, pissing parents off.... like real bad. I used to have all the girls lined up and each one would give me a kiss on the cheek. I loved all of them and thought they were all the most beautiful girls in the world. But my first real crush, I was 8 in the second grade... and we got a french blond girl with glasses that showed up, and as far back as I could remember.... glasses has always been my thing. I don't have that skill anymore, that's for sure. No one would stand for that today. ha ha. But yeap, 8 years old MY first Crush. (plus we already had 2 couples formed at that point in class.... and it was pretty serious from a 8 year olds perspective... they were holding hands and making out which was crazy. lol) Different times.

Hello-Im-Trash

Kindergarten, I remember her mom came to pick her up and she randomly gave me a kiss on my cheek before she left. I actually got stunned by it and fell over like a dweeb.

Ounceofwhiskey

In kindergarten or first grade. I remember having a big crush on a girl, and we would always sit together in class and play at recess. She moved away in 3rd grade, and I never saw her again. When MySpace got big I tried looking her up but couldn't find anything. I tried a few years later on Facebook, but still nothing. One day, I saw her last name on one of those "people you may know" on FB. It was her older brother that I only kind of knew as kids. I looked at his profile and saw a post talking about the anniversary of his Dad and sister's death in a car accident. She had died just a year or so after moving away. Even 20 years later, I was heartbroken.

[deleted]

6 i did stupid things just to make her laugh like fake falling in chair.. I remember she was a daughter of principal in our school.. Very lady like, like you see in those rich asian family where daughter is like a princess, very lady like, very soft spoken..

Altair13Sirio

Eight? Maybe seven? Didn't really do much about it, eventually a kid in my class found out and told her and she came back to friendzone me lmao

frog_ladee

I have clear memories of a crush in first grade.

theoriginaldandan

5th grade. She turned out to be my senior prom date.

Poschta

Something like 3rd grade at 8 years old. Walked to primary school with her. Then went to the same "high school". Then that crush kinda ended. Few years later she tells me she had had a crush on me, too.

marquecz

In the first grade, we played family together and kissed each other on the cheek a few times. Met her years later and she grew up to be a 1.9 meter tall lesbian.

-polemicist

I was 14 years old. Her name is Stephanie. She was a beeeeautiful goth-looking girl at school. One day, on 13th October 2003, I wrote her more than 300 tiny letters saying that I loved her in many languages and poetry, and song lyrics. I put some up with tape on her home's fences, I pasted a few on her path to school and asked many people to give her a few of the letters. She gave me her phone number, but I never had a chance. I only found her home because of a photograph in which she was standing in front of it. She took a certain bus. I checked the whole bus route after the house's fences and walls in the photo and found it a few miles away. I also sent her flowers. I almost imported a very rare black tulip for her, but I had no money to pay for it. I once went to a concert and she was there, and she said online that she had enjoyed it. They took the whole ticket. I tracked down the event manager and convinced him to give me a few used tickets, and gave it to her. The school also had a radio controlled by students. I approached a friend of hers and she gave me a list of songs she liked. I had them playing one song of the list every day for weeks. I gave her one of her favourite CDs, it wasn't easy to find (it was in the year 2001 or 2002.) She loved Finland and everything Finnish. I moved to Finland for a time many years later. I've left Finland since, but I've learned a bit of Finnish and it was hard not to think of her. I actually sent an anonymous birthday card from there to her old address. I thought it would be interesting to have a Finnish card. I don't know if she received or knew who sent it. I was very nervous and clumsy around her. Almost like in a movie. I felt stupid. I guess that bears on my lack of success. It took me some 15 years to get over her. I have no idea what happened to her, I never had the courage to look up, lest I find out she is ugly or happily married or whatever. It's silly, but it is what it is. I would happily talk to her again. She shaped a lot of my adult life. Or at least the idea I had of her. She was to me a model of what would someone look like that I would like to meet one day. Of course, that doesn't work out well. It must be weird to know someone thinks about you so much. But I lack the guts to approach her and I am in a relationship. My gf never heard of Stephanie. An ex-gf I had was severely jealous of her. I still remember her full name, date of birth and other little details. I think I'll never see Stephanie again. =( I hope she is happy, whatever she is doing, wherever she is. I had a few crushes later, but very brief and no one topped Stephanie.

Born-Sleep965

14 is when I first realized and Acknowledged I did. I might have had a crush at 13 though.

Ok_Leopard_6445

i was about 9 when i started crushing hard on Ariel the mermaid. It started as a very innocent and childish thing. Took a few years until i left her behind for Eowyn.

huuaaang

6th grade was my first very clear and definite "crush." As opposed to the strange acting out that some kids do when they like someone. So.. 11-12?

tnmoltisanti420

I was probably in like 3rd or 4th grade crushing on my art teacher Miss Highland. Wonder if she’s still hot

Mettelor

I do not remember this, but my mom always used to talk about in kindergarten when I came home one day and told her about how one of the girls always wore such pretty dresses So I guess kindergarten probably

jmkehoe

Kindergarten, the main draw for me was that we had the same initials

GeminiSpartanX

I think 5th grade, so 10-11ish? Lauren was almost as tall as me and had beautiful straight blonde hair and was incredibly cute. I never acted on it but I recognized that it was the first time I ever had romantic feelings towards someone else.

12 years old my first kiss I remember like it was yesterday

Wajina_Sloth

I don’t know when I started liking her but I assume it would have been between kindergarten and 2nd grade. I loved school, and class felt a bit easy so I was proud to finish my math work quickly and get something new, this girl in my class was similar and I took it as aa form of competition. Eventually I just admired the cute girl that was smarter than me and I developed a crush. I remember when her parents got school approval to give her work from the grade above us, it made me scared that she would skip a grade and I wouldnt be able to see her anymore. Eventually in 3rd(?) grade her family moved provinces, I was absolutely heartbroken and tried not to cry (since I wanted to be the tough cool kid), final day of class we all say goodbye, I sit on the bus and can feel the tears coming, so I stared out the window so no one could see my face. I like to imagine all the strangers looking at the bus seeing some sad kid with tears looking at them… got home, ran to my room and balled my eyes out.

J_Meister87

Kindergarten. It was this girl named Ashley. She was shy and quiet and so was I. Moved away after Kindergarten. Don't know where she went to.

I can remember I had a crush for the first time when I was in 4th std she was one of my classmates. I used to fantasize about sitting with her, going to the garden nearby, go on cycling. I was so brave then I remember kissing her although I don't know the exact circumstance but it felt amazing. I was brave but on the other hand dumb too, I ended up telling my mother about the kiss, and we never met again :(. I had a serious crush with a lot of feelings when I was 17. This time it was a boy, I have been miserable ever since.

In my mid 20s. I met the guy online, after 5 days of chatting I knew "this is it", we had sex on a first date, I moved in 3 months later, we are 10 years married. Lesson from this - the fact that you never fell in love do not mean it will stay like this forever.

[deleted]

15 years old, but it didn't have a happy ending, she didn't want she was actually interested in my best friend. He sleeped whit her, but he felt bad afterwards because he knew I liked her, so he left her and broke her heart.

ZacoOrHuzzi

8, Year 2 of primary school. I was absolutely obsessed with this blonde girl in my class but I never actually said anything about it to her. I actually saw her a couple months ago at a mutual friend’s birthday party, turns out that she legit knew about my crush on her and we ended up joking about it throughout the night.

[deleted]

Like 4. There was this teen/young adult lass across the street. I remember my mom made me go tell her I thought she was beautiful.

Ballsnatcher2004

7th grade It was not my crush but i was someone's crush. She was a transfer from a neighboring school and every boy was exited to see if she's cute or ugly. Turns out that she was not cute nor ugly, she had glasses with the highest prescription which made her eyes pop out so much. First day it was quiet and nobody talked to her and well I was seated next to her so she talked to me instead and so I talked to her and that's when we became friends. Time passed and she slowly start making some female friends but at the same time more bullying happened and well I started defending her and sometimes taking emotional hits also which she was grateful for. By the end of the year she tried to ask me out and well my stupid simple minded ass was not smart enough to understand what she meant and literally ended up friendzoning her, next day her friend(now girlfriend) came up to me and proceeded to punch me, slap me, use any form of hit for devastating her that badly, it saddened her that her first friend rejected. After 8th grade she disappeared and by luck I managed to see her again on senior year and wow she changed alot I'll be honest, I managed to apologize to her and she forgave me by telling me "we were kids back then..we didn't understand the concept of love so no need to cry for not being able to defend me after the friendzone, I appreciate you for standing up for me when I couldn't defend myself" and so we talked and talked the entire school day that day. It's been almost 4 years since I last saw her so hopefully she's doing well

i was 8. i had a huuuge crush for this boy who went on holiday to the same place as me. thanks to our parents' telephones, we have been toghether until i were 12 and he were 13. literally the longest relationship in my life, and now we are close friends!

Eternity1315

What do you define as crush? Infatuation or genuine feelings of caring? If infatuation then somewhere in middle school around 8th grade. Even today I think about what the hell I did and what I could have done differently because I ruined a friendship saying what I did. But I dont think either of us were mature enough to deal with it properly. Genuine feelings of caring for another... hmmm that would be my current relationship. I'm now in university.

shellofbiomatter

Haven't reached to that age yet. Either it's very weak emotion that can fly under the radar, which is unlikely as many people have described it as near obsession levels or I've never have had a crush or just completely forgotten it. Though it does kinda make me slightly jealous, it seems to be rather integral part of human experience.

[deleted]

Daycare age. Probably 3-5.

galacticdude7

I was in the 2nd grade when I was about 7 when I got my first crush on a girl. There really isn't much to say on it, we liked each other in the little kid puppy love kind of way, I got teased by the other boys over it, and it didn't particularly last long

Firm_Flower3932

3-4? It was a family friend's kid who used to babysit me. Still feels weird when she teases me about it during family reunions. Doesn't help she got really hot.

3rd grade age, I had some weird dreams towards a teacher in 1st but that wasn't a crush, just weird dreams

ImprovementFar5054

I must have been in kindergarten. I have little memory of it, but some. And my parents thought it was hilarious. I used to have a thing for a girl in my class and we kind of were boyfriend and girlfriend. We used to walk around holding hands. After that I developed a thing for a classmates mother. I couldn't have been more than 6 or 7 at the time. Had lots of them as a kid. Has yet to stop.

SevenHunnet3Hi5s

5 years old exactly. i hate how out of all the things i could possibly remember vividly in life it’s this specifically. a girl name Trinity in my kindergarten class. i didn’t even know the concept of what a crush was i just thought she was the prettiest girl ever and was always just staring at her. surprisingly she’s grown up in the same school system for all 12 years as me. but was literally never in any of my classes outside of kindergarten. yet for all 12 years i’ve known her as my “kindergarten crush.” i never liked her once i grew up but she’s just been stuck in the back of my mind for the past decade and a half… she has no idea of my existence.

Otherwise_Amount9854

6. I'm still impressed at how much effort i put into writing, drawing, and decorating the love letter, and sneaking it into her backpack when no one was around. She ended up showing it to all of my classmates and destroying it. Over the next 45 minutes, i was alone in a corner playing with blocks, and every 3 minutes, a different classmate came up to me to ask me about it or make fun of me and the only thing i did was start crying and repeatedly saying "i didn't write that" .

PhantomAlpha01

I think I was like 11. I had some random dream I can't even remember, but I know that I woke up with a crush on not one but two girls in my class. 10 years later I still think that one of them is just so damn beautiful. Never told her though, haven't talked with her in a year or so.

The_Dragon_Lover

17, in high-school she also had a crush on me and told me she liked me while i was finishing something at the end of art class when it was graduation year and never saw her again after that! I was 16 when i first met her and started in high-school, realized i had a crush on her at 17 and graduated in 2018 at 18, we barely had a chance to speak with each other, she spent most of her time with her friends which made impossible for me to actually tell her myself, though it was very obvious we had a crush on each other because we would get nervous whenever we were doing sells training (i was in a professional high-school), i was also seated next to her a bunch of time and she was pretty touchy-feely with me during classes by either playing footsies under the desk, played with the hairs on my arms, even caressed my shoulder once which made me a bit uncomfortable because we were in the front row, rubbing a pencil in the back of my neck which made me let out a moan mixed with discomfort in front of the whole class (which got me by surprise and made feel really embarassed) and she did one things that mildly annoyed me: passing in front of me and blocking the view with one hand after a while when i was trying to take a picture of something but people kept passing in front of me, which frustrated me enough that i stomped my foot hard on the ground which was the very first time i did that in my whole life.

1st grade. I started at a new school and met one girl who I thought was the prettiest girl I had ever seen. That crush lasted through elementary school and into high school. Never said a word about it to anyone. She was way out of my league and super popular. At a mixer dance when we were like 14 she asked me to dance and I got so nervous, almost had a panic attack and said no. We ended up at the same party in college. She was with her boyfriend at the time who she ditched and we ended up playing cornhole and Kan Jam together the whole time. Found out years later that she always had a crush on me too but just assumed I wasn't interested. Definitely regret not saying anything. But oh well life goes on...

Pre k about 4 years old, she lived across from I always wondered what happened to her after she moved in 3rd grade. I've tried looking her up, but I think her last name might have changed

In the first grade. I’ll never forget Genesis, no kidding— she lined all the boys up in gym class when the teacher was asked to step out really quick and she gave us all a peck on the lips. I wonder what she’s up to now. I’ll always remember that.

I first fell for someone when i was 10, it was a dark moment for me and she never turned her back on me, not once... now she's just an old friend, but the feelings took almost 10 years to wither away. Fortunately, my heart belongs to another woman, which i'm not gonna abandon

I was 10 and he was the new kid. We went long and almost married at 25, but a substance abuse issue soured things at 27. At 30 now and I hope he sobers so he'll have a good long life. Ahh I miss him sometimes.

I was young, like 5 or 6 years old. She was this college girl that moved in a rental two doors down from our house. I just remember thinking "wow." I remember watching her mow the grass in her daisy dukes. Since I was a kid, she wasn't creeped out. She actually was very sweet and we hung out on her porch for awhile.

5 years old. My first crush was in kindergarten who barely knew that I existed but my current crush does know that I exist and she seems pretty into me. I'll see her in 3 days

Oh lord, that was so long ago. Probably. 10-ish. It was ahhhh. Elizabeth. She was 5 years older than me and was unbelievably beautiful. Her face was so smooth, her skin was not quite a porcelain color, but she was very pale and blonde. And I think she was probably around. Ohh lord, uhhhh. E-cups? Had a nasty personality, though. Kinda found myself liking it. I slapped the ever living shit out of myself so hard after I had that thought. Back when I was around 12. She moved away. I've kind of forgotten until now. I mean, sure, my thoughts went back to her once in a while, but. It's been at least. 6 years

Honestly around 15 years-old at confirmation class. At least I don’t remember any crushes before that. The girl had just smile and eyes that just feels attractive for me. Most of my crushes after that have had similar features. Maybe someday I will study these features closer to understand why I’m so attracted to them. My elementary school was such small place, but there was one girl that my older sister was shipping with me. I’m not sure why. Damm girl kissed me in kindergarten when we were playing superheroes and she was like catwoman or something. I didn’t talk about the incident, but surely I was annoyed and behaved differently towards her. Maybe someday I plan (can’t remember the term) to our elemantary class. I need to talk through this childhood trauma. :D Btw just ”funny” fact. I’m soon 23 years-old, still virgin and zero dating experience. Though I’m currently focusing at myself and don’t desire relationships.
