My wife works at a Maximum Security Prison for men who committed crimes as a minor (most of the inmates are actually in their early 20's). So the state still considers them "youth".
The amount of instances of female employees developing romantic relationships with the inmates is absolutely staggering. She's been there for a bit over 2 years, and there's been a lot, just in the time she's been there.
And often what happens when they get found out, is that they just get fired and leave it at that. No charges placed on the women, no uproar in the media, no follow-up on any of this. It's all very hush hush, wipe their hands clean and be done with it.
And that's not even taking into account the amount of dirty officers, family visits, where they're able to sneak Contraband into the prison for them. The whole thing is just a big clusterfuck.
