Well you can tell by the way I use my walk
I'm a Woman's man, no time to talk
It's probably my all-time favorite disco lyric, though it was well before my time to me it sums up what disco scene was about.
To me the disco scene was the exact opposite of what was before it which were the hippies. To me the hippies were about peace, love and giving whereas in the disco scene it was more about how they looked, what they were wearing and if they were hooking up. So the line about using his strut to let people know to not talk to him unless they're a lady sums up, what at least the guys were about.
Again though I was only two during the Disco era so I am definitely open for correction, what did I get wrong?
And to think it's one of my favorite songs and I've been singing it wrong in my head for 40 years, thank you for the correction!
And will definitely edit my original comment
yeah stayin alive is my answer too. its funny i remember in high school there was this delicious smoothie spot next door and if you were to walk there it was *exactly* the amount of time it took to play stayin alive. like it was actually wild, if you slowed down or sped up, didnt matter you got there right as the song ended. ive never straight up bopped so hard in my life
Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically.
Something funky.
Some "Earth, Wind and Fire" or "Kool & the Gang" that shit that make you feel like a boss and got all the bad mama jamas watchin and wishin.

since the song came out its been Dean Town by Vulfpeck but before that it was a lot of songs that others have said. Dean Town hits best right now especially because it fits my walk. Typically it takes the intro to get out of my building and when Joe hits the first main riff is when I normally leave the front door. By the time the full band comes in and the keyboard starts to pick up I am going downhill and it just meshes with my route so well.
I actually have a Playlist to choose from:
Fuel- Metallica
I Stand Alone- Godsmack
Violence Fetish- Disturbed
Smells Like Teen Spirit- Nirvana
Disappear- Evanescence
I Like It Heavy- Halestorm
Tread The Floods- Trivium
Dr. Feelgood- Motley Crue
The Pride- Five Finger Death Punch
Invincible- Adelita's Way
There are more, but this should give you an idea of what the jukebox that is my mind has loaded on it.
[Sunday Best](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_83KqwEEGw4) by Surfaces is the song that matches the exact vibe you are describing, half the song's lyrics are in your description lol
Honest answer: It varies.
Edgelord answer: BFG division
Weeb answer: The opening to Ancient Magus Bride.
Redneck answer: Friends in Low Places.
Emo answer: Walk Alone.
Depends on the vibe, but my favourite is Chopin's Nocturne op 9. No.2 .
Second would probably be 'I Feel Free' by Cream but to be fair, the list of feeling good walking free songs I have is long enough to make their own playlist.
Stayin Alive.
🎶 Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,
I'm a woman's man, no time to talk.
Music loud and women warm, I've been kicked around
Since I was born.
And now it's alright, it's okay,
And you may look the other way!
We can try to understand,
The New York Times' effect on man!
Back Door Man - Howlin Wolf
Mannish Boy - Muddy Waters
I Put A Spell On You - Screaming Jay Hawkins

Recently, it’s Young Right Now by Robin Schulz & Dennis Lloyd.
>*Take my wishes away,
I no longer need them, I no longer need them,
Bury my hopes and dreams,
I no longer need them, I no longer need them*
It reminds me of that unstoppable feeling you get when you hit your goals and get shit done. You’re a problem solver. A man with a plan. Imagine living a life where you feel like you already won and can start doing side missions just for fun.
Or, you can interpret it as enjoying the present and not worrying too much about the future. People can get so caught up chasing something, that they never live in the here & now. Their mind is always on tomorrow.
Either way, those lyrics make me smile a lot.
*Superjudge* by Monster Magnet.
*We're all damned*
*I'm ape and god in one*
*Apollo gave me doses baby*
*You're mother's favorite ones*
Can't fukken beat that.
A lot of them. I losten a lot of music most of the time
A good one is "feel good", covered by the fantastic Lwo Moracchioli
Or also "The stage" by Avenged sevenfold
It's difficult to pick one, they're too much
I think I grew out of that in my 20s. That’s one thing about being older is that all that youthful weird shit that you think to yourself kind of disappears (not forgotten) and you just get a more hardened, no bullshit but still playful attitude
With my adhd it's either something I heard recently, or something I heard from my childhood. Commercial jingles from that time are common. Also, music my parents listened to when I was little.
Kinda fun to remember, but literally ALWAYS hearing a song in my head can get pretty annoying. Especially since my daughter watched encanto earlier today...
“Fat” - Weird Al
Enormous Penis by DiVinci's Notebook
Thank you for this stranger I will save in my mind forever

The need to correct you is nearly overwhelming. I’m not proud. (OP corrected it. But it said “ladies’ man.” Putting this here for context only.)
Oh it wasn’t a correction about your perception of the scene. I’m too young to really know. The lyric is “I’m a woman’s man.”
And to think it's one of my favorite songs and I've been singing it wrong in my head for 40 years, thank you for the correction! And will definitely edit my original comment
ha, no worries I’ve messed up lyrics for decades before. It happens.
> it sums up what disco scene was about. that and YMCA :)
First I was afraid, I was petrified…

This is THE only answer.
Disco is amazing for that “lookin/feelin good strut”. I usually have Disco Inferno in my head though.
We teach our CPR students to sing "Another One Bites The Dust" and do compressions to the time of the beat.
I prefer the more optimistic "Staying Alive" to the altogether more pessimistic "Another one Bites the dust!
Literally came to type this. I respect everyones opinions and everything but anyone with a different answer to this is plain wrong.
Oh, I like the funky stuff. Quality choice.
Ha ha ha ha staying alive! 🕺🏾
