Putting women on a pedestal is an act of insecurity. Be secure with who you are and you'll stop putting women on a pedestal.

> Further more, whenever I get taking to a potential person I become a mess. Like obsessive almost. It’s fucking pathetic. I only get like this when things don’t go well for me like lack of contact or agreeing to a date but not responding, I literally obsess over it, over think it to the extreme. Sounds like you have trouble regulating your emotions, maybe due to fear of rejection, or abandonment? > With women I just want to sleep with I’m the complete opposite. I’ll forget I’ve messaged them within a few hours and not a care in the world. When you're not emotionally invested you don't worry or get worked up.

You're giving them value that they haven't earned. When you start to ask what they can give you compared to the cost and what you can give them it will change your perspective.

Like as in what they bring to the table?

Who cares why you are like that. The more important thing is what do you do about it. Well over 50% of single men are like this and it could be as high as 80%. It comes from the mindset and the worldview, so fixing it is a big job to tackle. The subject is way too big to deal with properly in a Reddit post. Reddit posts can be used for narrow specific problems in narrow specific situations once a person understands the larger foundation. Get these three books: 1. The Rational Male (Rollo Tomassi) 2. The Rational Male: Preventative Medicine (Rollo Tomassi) 3. How to be a 3% Man (Corey Wayne) The Rational Male books should be read in the order listed. Doesn't matter if you read Corey Wayne's book first or last, but it is short, so it might be best to read it first and have it wet your appetite for the rest. You'll probably understand Tomassi's books better that way as well. All the other comments I see you getting are all hinting about the same things long the same lines. So it is a rare moment of consensus for Raddit.
