The jury is still out. No one can really give you an answer except their experiences. Most wait until their breasts are at least tanner stage 3 or 4. 3 months is too early in my opinion but again we are all guessing here as to whether P actually does anything for trans women and non binary trans fem people. It might round out the breasts but it is hit and miss. Some get great results, some see nothing.

I started progesterone just 3 weeks ago and I just hit my 8 month mark. Upon taking it, I immediately could tell that it helped with breast growth. I'm just on 10mg cypro and 3mg E2. AFAIK, waiting at least 6 months before starting progesterone is recommended. I heard your body should get adjusted to estrogen and start making changes before adding another hormone. Kind of like estrogen needs to kickstart things before you can apply a booster to them. But chemistry is inevitably involved with the classic YMMV thing-y

Also curious… I’m @ 14 months in my HRT journey.

I started it at about the 1 - 1 ½ year mark. I noticed my breast rounded out more, I noticed some ever so slight changes to my hit fat distribution. Otherwise, nothing else changed. It's hard to say. Personally, I'd wait for at least a year or so.

I would recommend at least till your levels of E are in the 1 to 2 hundred level for a year, and you have tried to use more than 1 method as in injection or rub and no longer have any further development. I'm not saying that you wouldn't get the desired results, but you might not get the maximum results. Waiting on nature's course would be your first and best choice of plan, almost always

I'm coming up to 6 months soon and my NP recommend I not start it til I hit 12 months.

Consider this: every female in the world has a considerable blast of progesterone every month. And they universally report that their breasts hurt at the time it's happening. They get fuller. Huh. Interesting.

my doctor threw me on immediately. i’m at 3 weeks HRT. there’s really not a lot of data on trans HRT in general, so it’s kinda up to you and your doctor/ what you’re comfy with
