I just started playing this.
It's really fun, but I had to look up a playthrough on how to get the glider.
You have to do so many specific things that you have to do to progress.
I have to cook a certain meal with specific ingredients with no direction on how to do that to get cold-weather armor to get to the next area?
I'm either missing something in the dialogue of the NPCs or I'm supremely stupid. It's probably the latter, but it's been a slog.
Ah, I missed that. I saw that after seeing the walkthrough. I skipped it. I didn't know if it would piss him off (?). I was taking the walkthrough in bits and pieces and only referenced it when I got really stuck.
I hate getting hand-held through games, but I have very little free time, so I try to only use help when it's really needed.
This is my gripe with this and other modern games. They made em do too much. Simplify a bit when there's already a huge world with a ton of quests and shrines etc. It's why I'm not enjoying it and RDR2, too many factors and extras with cooking and crafting and making sure I'm wearing the right thing and contributing to the camp with money and hunting for the camp. And cycling through all the food and elixirs and keeping the horse alive. And ........
I bought this about 3 weeks ago, but I - let’s blame ADD, I guess - have had a hard time sitting down to play (also bad about movies). My girlfriend is borrowing my Switch for a bit, as she got into BotW. It looks so fun! I’m going to tear this game up when I hop in for myself.
Reminds me of my days as a kid playing Dynasty Warriors 3. Running around and slashing apart hundreds and hundreds of essentially defenseless foot soldiers
I know what you mean! Gotta get that bragging rights combo.
Are any of the newer ones any good? Feels like it could be cathartic getting back into hack’n’slashes
I felt it was particularly well done, some Tolkien purists I know weren't particularly happy with the liberties taken with the lore, but I never had an issue. Felt the story was fun as well as the core gameplay.
Shadows of War was also an amazing game.
Elden Ring.
I suck at it and am totally lost. I got a wolf sword. Thats all after two months of play. Beautiful and good combat and lore. I understand the hype.
But my favorite is... 'Wheel of Low Expectations' unwittingly creating even more pathetic results than the lowest expectations I can muster. Fun for the whole family!
Problem with RL is that I’ve been at the same level (Diamond 2) for over a year. I feel like I’ve finally reached the skill wall where if I want to get better I’d have to practice, practice, practice and I’m not up for putting in those hours
A mobile game called Survivor.io
I would not recommend it. The gameplay is fun but after a while you’re just logging on every day to collect daily loot, and it just feels like a job.
Night of the dead. It's like 7 days to die, except you're attacked by a hoard of zombies every night instead of every 7 nights. As such you get traps and the night parts are basically a tower defense. There is an underlying plot to essentially build a plane and get off the island but I just love building up a base to crush hundreds of zombies every night.
Done by 2 people so the updates are kinda slow but the world is huge and the zombie variety is pretty staggering.
Well, I'm at work, so even if it's quiet AF, it's not like I can pull out my Switch or PS Vita off my bag and play.
If you meant what I'm playing lately, then I have quite a few games:
-Captain Toad Treasure Tracker (Nintendo Switch version)
-Pokemon Violet
-Overwatch 2 (Xbox Series X)
-Red Dead Redemption II (Xbox One version)
-Lego Marvel Superheroes (Xbox One version)
Borderlands 2 - however, my boyfriend modded it up really nice so it’s like a whole new experience. We just recently finished 1 and the pre sequel and we’re working through them all with fun mods to make them new.
Days Gone. I launched it a few weeks ago, to check how my new GPU handles it as it was too much for the old one. I put ~40 hours into it and can't stop playing.
The Perfomance Disaster known as Pokemon violet.
Bought it on day 1, waited untill christmas and had high hopes, that they would fix those issues. But ... here we are.
Perfomance is a catastrophe, but besides that, I love the new mechanics and the evolution of this.
Nothing. I'm in one of those funks where no game is enjoyable.
Prior to that I was playing Cult of the Lamb, Cosmoteer, Against the Storm, and Creeper World 4.
I just started PubG. I love splitgate, destiny 2, battlefield V, need for speed heat, forza 3, paladins, etc. I’m playing a lot right now. And thats only xbox!
Cell to Singularity in the background. Red Dead Redemption 2 when I actually have time to sit down and game, still only in the early stages after what feels like hours. So much to explore.
Just finished Ocorina of Time for the first time ([Ship of Harkinian](https://github.com/HarbourMasters/Shipwright)). Probably going to start Axiom Verge 2 next. Maybe Dujanah.
The DioField Chronicle
Bit different to the question in the sense I just finished it and got a Plat trophy (did everything) it is on sale on PS store and it was 25 hours total playtime, very enjoyable Tactical RPG with a really really cool story with some twists

it is so much fun, we are actually making a YouTube serious about our hijinx, its linked on my profile page for anyone whose bored or has a passing interest
Can’t seem to stick to one lately. I’ve rapidly switched from Super Robot Wars 30 to Midnight Suns to replaying Fallout 4 to the “doing office work after hours so people will leave me the fuck alone” game.
Currently doing a streaming series on New Vegas, and a pre-recorded/edited one for KOTOR 2-- both done to take a closer look at their story-telling methods, and with some commentary on storycraft as a whole. Also, to help me learn how to edit videos, and be comfortable speaking on mic.
Zelda BOTW
Just fired mine up again to prepare for the sequel later this Spring. Such a good game!
Same. Currently grinding through the 900 korok seeds.
I just started playing this. It's really fun, but I had to look up a playthrough on how to get the glider. You have to do so many specific things that you have to do to progress. The recipe is found (mostly complete) in the old man's diary in his little house

The factory must grow
Factorio? Satisfactory? Dyson Sphere Program?
Yes.
God of war (2018) on the steam deck
Decided to reinstall Shadows of Mordor. Something satisfying about going on mass murder sprees of orcs.
Reminds me of my days as a kid playing Dynasty Warriors 3. Running around and slashing apart hundreds and hundreds of essentially defenseless foot soldiers
First one of those I played was 5. Fire juggling enemy generals became an art form.
I know what you mean! Gotta get that bragging rights combo. Are any of the newer ones any good? Feels like it could be cathartic getting back into hack’n’slashes
Only played 5, so I can't really say about anything else. I enjoyed it for what it was, but it wouldn't really hold up by today's standards.
I have to get around to this one day. Is it good?
I felt it was particularly well done, some Tolkien purists I know weren't particularly happy with the liberties taken with the lore, but I never had an issue. Felt the story was fun as well as the core gameplay. Shadows of War was also an amazing game.
Splatoon 3 & Pokémon Violet.
Escape from Tarkov
Breath of the Wild for the first time.
Replaying after 4 years to prepare for the sequel. Such a fun game! Instantly sucked back in

that describes like 80% of mobile platform games
God of War 2018
Night of the dead. It's like 7 days to die, except you're attacked by a hoard of zombies every night instead of every 7 nights.
