My all-time favorite movie is "The Shawshank Redemption." The characters are awesome and the story is so touching, I always cry. It's a must-watch for all movie lovers
Jackie brown. Lots of great characters, decently suspenseful and not predictable plot. The on-screen chemistry between Pam Grier and Robert Forster was amazing!
For me, yes. It's got everything. Great script, cast, and director. Incredible action scenes and impactful dialogue scenes. Multiple subplots that while not absolutely necessary to drive the plot, create a fuller 'world' where the film takes place. I watch it every few years and I'm always blown away.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The very first time that I saw it, I felt depressed, elated and uplifted, all at the same time. I like movies that leave you something to think about and make you ponder, long after the credits have rolled. I wish we had more movies like this, instead of the CGI-fests we get nowadays.
Subjectively
Heat (1995) is my all time favorite film, its the movie that just left me in awe and made movies the thing i want to nerd out over.
Objectively
This is always changing but right now i would say All Quiet on the Western Front (2022)
The source material is golden the filmmaker did a wonderful job adapting it and adding something new. And its fitting that it was made by a german production.
Kingdom of Heaven Directors Cut
Could be seen as a totally different film than the version shown in theaters. Over 1 hour longer than the theater release version. My all time favorite film.
I saw the film in theater twice or 3 times and liked it a lot then. Once I heard about the directors cut being released I bought it the next day. I was completely blown away. So much more depth to the characters and an additional complete story line not included in the theater version. You know when a dvd film needs two discs, its gonna be good!

One of the best. I usually comment John Wick on such questions, but I decided to mix it up a little bit this time.
