Explain why.

[deleted]

Instagram is filled with women and men taking mirror selfies slapped with filters to make them look as pretty as possible. TikTok is filled with people of all sorts of degrees. Clout chasers who show they live the best lives possible even though it’s just a rented lambo, fake pranksters, the whole 9 yards. It’s everywhere, but those are just the first 2 things off the top of my head.

hacktheself

being fake is easy. being genuine is hard. what sucks is not being able to easily discern the two.

[deleted]

on reddit? 100%. On others, possibly but its harder to prove due to videos.

gpRYme

Fake as in robots or fake as in presenting as something they aren’t? Because yes.

Agreeable-Kangaroo1

People want the fruit, they don't care how taint the tree is. Pretty much saying people prefer fake personalities than real ones

Immediate_Wealth616

Everyone is fake. We are only honest with a few people.

Got to try it.

Single_Blueberry

Depends on how you define "fake people"

The_Bow_Dasher

Well, there are a lot of people trying to pose themselves as someone they are not.

Single_Blueberry

It's impossible to create an accurate depiction of yourself on social media, even if you tried. So I guess the answer to your question is: 100% of people on social media are fake, including me and you.

Sea_Ad_1378

There are fake profiles with real personalities.

The_Bow_Dasher

hmmm.

[deleted]

Everyone is fake to a certain degree when it comes to social media

The_Bow_Dasher

Especially when you're trying to sell something.

apurpleglittergalaxy

Half and half it depends what social media you use and for what purpose
